My two favorite tires are the BF Goodrich All-Terrains and the Michelin Defenders. They just handle Snow, mud, rain and dry weather so well. Yes the BF handle better Snow, Mud, Rain than the Defenders, but the defenders are much more quiet on dry roads and rain, but totally decent in snow, when I drive the escalade up skiing. Cannot go wrong with either one and they do last.

GMC News: 2019 GMC Sierra To Debut On March 1st
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
Wonder if it will have the funky new headlights of the CUVs? -
Totally agree guys, I think the Tank / Submarine outlook is terrible. I know they did it to meet side impact standards, but hell the visibility is just terrible even though I love the car. Corvette, I love the looks, but already know I will never own one since my head always sticks above the top of the glass. I hope with the EV movement, that the Pony car segments can get wicked fast like a Tesla Roadster 2.0 but with better visibility. Tesla has great Greenhouse visibility.

Knowing Europe, they would say this was a people killer and illegal since it does not have those polite crumple points and scoop points to protect the average walking person. Forget about the fact that people need to pay attention to where they are going! Thanks for posting this car, it is really cool even though we all know it would be a massive 2 person only car the size of a Suburban. Yup, I am surprised it was a dodge as I could easily see it as a Chrysler.

Yup same with Lincoln, time to kill the whole product line since Ford outsells it with just the F150!- 20 replies

Sorry but picking up sarcasm was never a strength of mine. But Washington state has a highly educated labor force and as such, low income areas are south of Tacoma below the military base, While you do see the occasional Nissan SUV / pickup or Infinity, they do not have much of a presence in this state for some reason.

January 2018: Ford Motor Company
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
And that is the rub, most reviewers are clueless about the true full size Continentals not this mid size version and the interior space is cramped if your over 5'8" tall. I have verified that myself and talked with many others that agree, for bigger people, the continental is cramped inside. Ford did a very nice job in the quality of the interior but they must like Japan used small people when sizing it as it is not spacious like the reviews state. Those being used as Private car service always have the front passenger seat pulled up max and even then it is not that much more. Nice car, but interior is cramped to me.- 19 replies

I would have to drive a couple hours south to the military base to find the lower income areas, so yea, based on what you say that could explain not seeing as much as other places.

Surprised that Nissan sold 123K plus auto's. I just do not get the vibe that they sell much or guess not that much in my area as I rarely seem them like VW. Both are not popular here, in fact more Mazda and Subarus than them.

If these numbers do not clearly show how people preference for CUV over Car has changed nothing will. I am surprised they actually out sold VW by a couple hundred auto's, probably due to a better CUV lineup.- 1 reply

January 2018: Volkswagen of America, Inc.

The Touareg and Beetle does not make a company. WOW talk about high double digit reductions in sales. Diesel Gate is clearly affecting them now. I also wonder how this compares to their numbers for the rest of the world. -

So true, someone in accounting needs to get with the times. As I updated my comment, I just realized how many more auto's GM sold compared to Ford. WOW.- 20 replies

January 2018: Ford Motor Company
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
WOW, 37,000 less autos sold compared to GM, Lincoln would be bleeding red if not for the Navigator. Sadly while I like the looks of the Continental, the interior space is terrible and since most people have moved onto the SUV/CUV thing, I do not expect it to stay a very big seller and the month sales seem to show that. Pretty much if it was not for the Police packaged cars / suvs and trucks, Ford would be nothing but sales loss. Interesting- 19 replies

Chevrolet always called them Suburban I thought and that has not changed where GMC went with Yukon / Yukon XL formerly known as suburban. I do agree it is weird that they put (Chevy) in quotes. I am more surprised to see that GM moved 37,000 more auto's than Ford for the month of January.- 20 replies

Honda is probably also looking at the profits GM, Ford heck anyone that has more CUVs and figures they are leaving money on the table of people who will buy a Lemming mobile from them at inflated prices.- 6 replies

Jaguar News: Jaguar To Reveal I-Pace EV On March 1st
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Jaguar
So they will hit their 300+ mile range battery pack. Interesting, saw on the news that LG has stated they now have production ready battery packs up to 120kWh. This would give the BOLT considerable range considering the current 60kWh battery pack is 238 miles, so would that mean 476 miles then if the BOLT offered the 120kWh battery pack? EV Power is coming soon! I like this I-Pace and where we are going with EV Auto's! https://insideevs.com/lg-chem-says-ready-supply-300-mile-120-kwh-batteries/ -
@2b2 Interest you list Mercury for 2020? Sorry but I do not get it, what do you mean?

This made the local news as some car restorers bought a bunch from this place. You forget about what is now classic car junk yards that are tucked away between the tall evergreen trees here in Washington State. http://www.chevyhardcore.com/features/washingtons-hidden-classic-car-wrecking-yard/ 118 Photos as the yard is all Chevrolet. Some amazing rides.

BF Goodrich Allterrain, those are the gold standard for a tire that lasts and has both outstanding on road and off road performance. https://www.discounttiredirect.com/tires/brands/bfgoodrich-catalog?cat=all-terrain-tires T/A KO2 is just an awesome tire, have them on all my SUVs and they just work, my son had them on his Jeep Patriot and also now on his new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both him and I swear by them especially off road and on the pass during winter. They are also excellent on wet weather, standing water and very quiet for the type of tire during the summer on regular roads.
