  1. Cool that they have done these two types of cars, yet with that said I do have to wonder WTF hyundai, you had the VOLT as the Measuring stick to equal or beat and instead you go weak ass with a 27 mile range pure electric plug in hybrid. Pathetic.!
  2. Tesla is now the 2nd most valuable US auto company behind GM which reported a net revenue of $145.6 Billion for 2017.
  3. Nice improvements. GM are you taking notes and getting your ducks in a row to counter offer? I will say that I think it is great that Toyota offers a water snorkel kit that is easily adaptable to the truck. GM has nothing like this and I think they should. GM's Performance division really needs to step up their game when you see what Ford offers with the Raptor package and Toyota with their TRD offerings. GM Performance really needs to get their act together.
  4. Totally agree, I hope Ford also does an EV version as an EV version for inner city use will be really economical and beneficial for traveling so few miles.
  5. Top photo was taken at my grandmas house in Palos Verdes California. Bottom photo was taken at my parents house in Bothell Washington.
  6. I do believe it has been replaced with a desire for RWD / AWD Performance SUV/CUVs.
  7. Nice looking update for this mini-van. Interior is good too, just one thing missing. AWD I truly believe there is a valid use case and customers that would buy an AWD Ford Transit Connect Wagon. GM sold plenty of Safari AWD vans and I still see a ton of them at the pass in snow with families going Skiing / Snowboarding. Ford could really hit those bigger families that want the AWD capabilities of a CUV but in a van format.
  8. According to Autoblog, Porsche is doubling their investment between 2018 to 2022 from 3 Billion to 6 Billion on EV development as they expand their Mission E auto line. Seems that Musk / Tesla should be concerned as Porsche just might beat them to the punch in a fast powerful car before they get Tesla Roadster 2.0 out the door to buyers.
  9. Guess they liked the idea of Cadillac having the V Sport edition so why not have an N Sport edition for them.
  10. Even in V6 form, I would take the Durango over the Pilot every day and twice on Sunday! I would take it in their Rhino color that you can also get on the Jeep, just looks awesome. I like it cause you rarely see them and they are very different compared to the millions of red out there. Will say their Maroon is very nice too.
  11. Totally agree, some people think being alive for an extra month but in a drug induced state with pain or whatever might be is living and yet they forget about quality of life. I want to go fast even if my lifetime on this planet is shorter. No need to lay about and drag on putting a burden on my kids and family.
  12. First Porsche Found after a Century plus, EV P1 at the Beginning! Always exciting to learn things about founders of car companies and in this case it is even more exciting as Porsche is not new to the EV Auto. In 1898 Ferdinand Porsche built himself the first Porsche vehicle. and it was placed in an Austrian shed in 1902 and forgotten about till 2017 and then on Monday was added to the Porsche History Museum in Stuttgart Germany. Let's back up a bit and give some details that auto nuts love to know about. Ferdinand Porsche founded his company in 1948 and before then was a man who had no formal engineering training but an aptitude for it as he worked for coach builder Jacob Lohner. Mr. Porsche was asked by Mr. Lohner to come up with an electric powertrain. Mr. Porsche continued his work and on June 26th 1898 the "Egger-Lohner EV C.2 Phaeton was put on the streets of Vienna Austria. Mr. Porsche engraved P1 on all the components he designed and built which was the key components of the powertrain. Here is the specs of the P1: Electric motor weighed 287 lbs. Produced 3 HP continuous and had spurt mode to 5 HP as achieved in overdrive mode. Top speed of 21 mph. Vehicle weight before battery pack 2000 lbs. Battery pack weight 1000 lbs with 50 mile range. September 1899 Mr. Porsche entered a car race where the contestant had to complete 24 miles with 3 passengers as fast as they could. Mr. Porsche piloted his EV Auto across the finish line 18 min ahead of the 2nd place finisher and more importantly where more than half of the contestants failed to finish at all due to technical problems according to the museum history telling. Today Porsche has the Panamera gas-hybrid sedan as well as the 918 gas-hybrid racer. from 3 hp to 887 hp, from 21 mph to 211 mph. Mr. Porsche would be proud of where his company has gone and especially that they are going back to his original roots and first powertrain that he developed and believed in. 13. Condolences my friend, wishing you and your family all the best for celebrating his life.
  14. Is is a nice looking CUV, but . . . . . . . . . . . . . Hello Ford, charging more for monochromatic rather than the chromed Titanium version just makes no sense to me especially as your now priced in the same territory as Lincoln. Competing with your own luxury brand.
  15. EV Baby is awesome, Hope Ford, GM and RAM jump on this too. GM could just rebadge the Nissan mini work EV van that is sold in the asian rim as a Chevy EV work van here.
  16. Me with my sisters and my grandma from my moms side. 1971 Me with my Grandma in 2013 celebrating her 95th birthday! RIP 2015 She was an AWESOME GERMAN GRANDMA!!!
  17. Yea, why are OEM still putting steeler rims with hubcaps on cars. Just terrible.......... O'h wait your talking about football, well the Steelers I am surprised are still around considering we pretty much got rid of steel manufacturing. But it would be cool if they did do better. But the stupid rules and calls just make me shake my head at the NFL.
  18. WOW, Love the warm brown two tone interior and the exterior looks more like a traditional SUV than a Jelly Bean CUV. Like this way more than their past models.
  19. I can now see an announcement that FCA is delaying X, Y and Z new models for X amount of years due to the cost of the settlement taking dollars away from R&D for creation of new models. This could be a death to some product lines as FCA has to clean up the mess and simplify their product offering.
  20. We'll still no fan of the Predator mouth grill and the interior just looks cheap. Maybe it is the pictures, but this just really cheapens the car with that interior to MHO.
  21. My friend you're getting too literal now, People resonate with names better than abbreviations. If abbreviations resonated so well then Unix / Linux and the bloody CLI would be king rather than the GUI and how people go apple or windows for the bulk of users. Talk to the average peep and they remember G-Wagon, Escalade, Prius, but ask them about a GLS, ELR, etc. and people draw a blank. All I am saying is that names resonate better with people than alphanumeric mess we have on automakers cars.
  22. Not so sure about your statement on names, social media is making names more relevant than in the past and Prius has had that affect, Escalade also has had that effect. My gut tells me that Marketing is going to have to pay attention to names the more people follow stupid social media.
