  1. Guess we look at different track races as those supported by Asian or German auto companies use their DOHC engines and do not have the greatest track record compared to US based race teams using pushrods that do win. There is nothing that says a properly built nascar pushrod engine cannot handle 9K or even 10K rpm with a proper flat torque curve that can give extra grunt when you push a car in triple digit speeds to go even more. I agree to disagree with you on this CCAP41.
  2. I will agree to Disagree. From my own track experience, having a proper flat torque line that mirrors HP, when one goes to manuavure around another person that is in front of you, having the HP to keep momentum moving is one thing, having the torque to push you ahead at a high speed is another thing and very beneficial. Seen way too many auto's with a proper hp to torque ratio beat the high HP, low torque auto's.
  3. Ford SHOULD have taken a bankruptcy, instead they are upside down in debt. The next few years will be interesting to see if they can reduce debt to a more manageable point. They should have used it to dump the crazy debt load they had and the union pension. Then they would have been in a far better financial position. Before anyone accuses me of hating on Ford, this is not any hate at all, I like Ford. This is business sense 101, it was a time that would have been best to clean up a history of poor mgmt. decisions to secure a better financial position. Instead they are now in deep debt.
  4. Camaro is a steal at the price you pay for what you get compared to this over priced Italian pasta.
  5. Seems stormy water is ahead for autonomous auto's and the mapping they use to get around. This PDF is from Financial Times which requires a subscription. driverless_cars__mapping_the_trouble_ahead.pdf
  6. I doubt they are worried about emiles since they have the Polestar sub-brand that is pure EV to help offset their e-miles for hybrid auto's. Course lots of questions around China's policy so be interesting to see how this all works out.
  7. This list is broken into two columns with the sex listed at the top, column on the left are the top 25 auto's bought by men, column on the right is the top 25 bought by woman. Interesting column lists of autos I say.
  8. I loved the way the Headlights opened and closed. Like a crab claw, so very Cool!
  9. wow, talk about a compliment to ford, This looks so much like the GT. So Ferrari cannot create anything better than what FORD created 40+ years ago and improved in the last few versions of the GT. Probably be crazy priced for not that much of a special auto. Torque is pathetic compared to HP.
  10. I like this very much, clean inside and out yet desirable. The dash is clearly minimalist design. Like the air vents as they remind me of the type I have seen on Cadillac in the past. Two thumbs up for Volvo on this V60!
  11. If the price is right on the 2015 4Runner TRD Pro, pay to have it painted that 2018 color
  12. Based on the latest data from 2015 of buying trends based on female versus male registrations of auto's in the US.
  13. 2 for sure, I would have no problem retro fitting the Monte Carlo SS or the GMC Yukon GT with an AWD EV Powertrain. I would even consider the Skylark or Riviera though I am sure balthazar would smack me.
  14. I will say that I have also seen that here in Washington where you are seeing a bigger return of people to American Trucks / SUVs over asian or german brands for the husband but the wife stays with their asian / german brand car.
  15. @ccap41 My 5 used auto's would be as follows: 1994 GMC Yukon GT Maroon 1993 GMC Typhoon Garnet Red 1991 GMC Syclone Black 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aero Maroon 1971 Buick Skylark Custom Grand Sport Convertible Optional that I would also take in place of the Buick Skylark would be a 1971 Buick Riviera Grand Sport
  16. Love your list of Auto's and the garage kept beauty of the GMC Syclone. That is an awesome find. The perfect stable mate to go with the Syclone is the Typhoon from GMC. You can get a replacement screen unit for $497.00 https://www.gmpartsonline.net/oem-parts/gm-display-unit-22809317
  17. That CTS-V Sport looks like it has been ridden hard and put away wet. I would be careful as I saw the shattered center screen but also enough wear that who ever was the previous owner is a I do not care, lease, use it, abuse it and trade it back in. Even with the so called cleaning, that auto has considerable wear which makes me think the past lease owner was not only dirty but had high acid in their sweat due to the wear of symbols on dash, steering wheel and shifter. Could be a good deal or it could be a money pit.
  18. Today is a totally random day and this is amazing to see how they shipped new cars in the 70's.
  19. RoadRalley Estonia Style, Check out around 2:50 where they use a tractor to remove a broken car. LOL So many russian / European cars.
  20. Seems California has introduced Legislation that would make the State stop the sale of ICE auto's in 2040. http://www.thedrive.com/sheetmetal/17359/california-lawmaker-introduces-bill-calling-for-all-electric-car-sales-by-2040
  21. Interesting, story on The Drive about 8 auto's that cannot pass over the Brooklyn Bridge due to their 3 ton weight limit. http://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/1720/8-cars-that-legally-cant-cross-the-brooklyn-bridge Seems pretty much every full size truck and SUV plus a couple cars that were surprising.
  22. LOL, NJ trucker uses fishing line to pull up license plate to evade paying as he rolls through turnpike payment booth. Police did catch him and demoed the license plate pull up.
