  1. Wow, talk about drinking the BMW Coolaid. So your saying this is better Than this
  2. Nice to see the new grill on the car to match the CUVs, over all people should find it an attractive car if they are interested in one. The dash just seems to be a mess to me. It actually looks cheap based on the pictures.
  3. I agree, The web site says they have it for the Colorado, but no pictures. They do have a black bow-tie that is back-lit or any other unlit color.
  4. Only a guy would be excited about junk in the trunk of an old Ford.
  5. Poor @ccap41 You just hate me when I talk negative about the blah german driving machines. ?‍♂️
  6. Nice Power and yet with that said, this looks like every other subcompact CUV on the market with a BMW Grill. The interior distracts you with the bright red interior but is a 1990's dated mess. I honestly do not see anything special that would make me want to buy this with an overpriced price-point. Meh ?
  7. I agree that the truck is gnarly and I also do not like the all black plastic grill. That is the one Item I would go 3rd party on getting a replacement for. Would rather have a black chrome grill with a Black chevy logo than the plastic with Chevrolet name on it. Something like this is not bad, better than what GM did.
  8. Montreal and Laval have warded New Flyer of America a contract for 40 of the forty-foot battery electric Xcelsior buses. This contract is for 10 buses for STL and 30 buses for STM, together making this the largest battery bus procurement to date. This starts the rapid change over that these mass transit agencies have put in place to move to all electric buses only with STL buying only electric starting in 2023 and STM buying only electric starting in 2025 to replace retiring diesel and hybrid buses. STM provides public transportation in Montreal, Quebec and is the third most heavily used public transportation in North America. STL provides public transportation in Laval, Quebec. STM and STL choose to go with the 466 kWh battery pack option out of their 100 kWh to 818 kWh batteries. These buses have a leading edge sophisticated battery management system, Direct drive no transmission, regenerative braking and improved traction via the electric awd system. This powertrain choice reduces cost, weight, maintenance and propulsion complexity. The 466 kWh battery pack is good for 160 miles plus range allowing most buses to complete 2 runs of the average 80 mile bus route before fast charging the bus again. These buses will bring a ultra quiet clean smelling riding experience to the population of Quebec. New Flyer of America Press Release
  9. Nissan announced the all new Nissan Sylphy Zero Emission car for the chinese market at the Auto China 2018 show. 10. One of the world leading DC High Voltage EV Relays companies out of South Korea showed off their latest products at the battery fair in China last week. But this is just a small piece in comparison to what they have already delivered to the world. The 400 and 600 amp along with the 1000V 100 amp relays will enhance high speed charging of cars and solar panel installations worldwide. Yet so much more is also available. The EVH1000 is focused on the Solar industry where the EVH400A and 600A is focused on rapid charging of the electric auto industry. They also have the EVH1000A that one has to make the assumption Porsche is using for their car as it would support the rapid high speed recharge of their battery that they have talked about. No matter how you look at it, it seems the electronic industry is catching up to allow minutes for rapid charging of battery packs in cars equal to the ICE world for a gas tank. 11. SWEET I will take one in Forest Green Metallic fully loaded with the Duramax please!
  12. Makes me wonder if they are using up production stock as they retire old platforms and gets ready for the Global MQB platform and power trains.
  13. I agree that it is an uphill road to climb, how long will be interesting to see as major markets change to requiring BEV such as Europe and China, Japan and Korea, I expect attitudes to change as prices fall and battery density improves. I honestly think 10 years from now things will be very different.
  14. Very true and I agree with you for small businesses especially the early adopters are not going to be him unless his use case matches closely to what and how these trucks are used. In most cases just as this press release stated, it will be bigger companies that do buy 50 trucks at one time and needs a diverse truck fleet to address various needs.
  15. Hey congrats on the new printer, wishing you all the best for it's use. MOUSE - Is this a traditional mouse with a ball? If so, the rollers get dirty and cause the system to skip or not move the mouse so it seems to freeze. You can twist off the circle cover, remove the mouse and then clean the dirt off the rollers. If it is a optical mouse, you will have to get a new mouse as once the optics start failing they are not user fixable that I am aware of. BROWSERS - Which one are you using? Chrome, Firefox, Edge, IE, HP's own proprietary browser? There are various instructions on the web for this, but it amounts to exporting your bookmarks as an HTML file. Once you have done this, you could then do the following: Download the latest version of your browser choice. Uninstall the old browser, updates, etc. for said browser. Clean install of latest browser. Import the HTML file of all your bookmarks. Enjoy using the new browser with all your bookmarks. Hope this helps you out.
  16. I understand the business approach you are looking at. I have to assume besides city government dictation of using these kinds of trucks that they can at least break even on the trucks. Knowing that electric power trains have less maintenance and longer lives like CNG/LNG motors also have that they will have the truck on the road as much as possible 7 days a week. Will be interesting to follow this and see what the break even point is in years. @ccap41 So revisited their web site, seems they have in addition to this class 6 a class 3 Ford Transit EV van. Both auto's are looked at beating the cost of Diesel over their expected 10 year useful life. Interesting. ?
  17. You might not live or work in a dense growing city, but with the explosive growth of west coast cities, the demand by the public for quiet streets, delivery trucks, reduced polution is the key point in what is driving a move to CNG/LNG or EV Delivery trucks. Since most of these trucks will outlast even a diesel, it makes sense. Especially makes sense with the cities pushing fuel free mass transit buses by mid 2020 to 2030. I see delivery trucks also going that way for all local delivers. UPS and FedEx have also bought many trucks like this from various companies to test out the tech though right now CNG/LNG is the bigger investment by them. I do admit that it would be interesting to find out the cost that the first company is paying per truck for this EV hauler.
  18. Amazing as to the how narrow / closed minded you are. There is no need for a loud diesel belching toxic smoke driving truck in the inner cities for delivery's. Even in the suburbs many auto's can be replaced by a 100 mile range delivery auto. Perfect example of where we are reducing green house gas by replacing traditional ICE with CNG/LNG or electric auto's is our postal service. https://www.uspsoig.gov/sites/default/files/document-library-files/2018/NL-AR-18-003.pdf Latest report shows how much is being saved for a vehicle that drives on average of only 50 miles per day. The latest reports for urban delivery and freight mobility also proves out this less than 100 miles once the freight has come to the city. https://ops.fhwa.dot.gov/publications/fhwahop18020/index.htm The proof is all over in how little these trucks actually drive in the city and with Electric, they are using no energy when making a delivery or picking up a load. The engines sit there unlike the waste of diesel as the trucks are left idling.
  19. I have to disagree, companies that need to do suburban deliveries will have Diesel or CNG / LNG delivery trucks. Here you see in SODO our warehouse district these kinds of trucks where the long haul semi's come in and the product gets split up for inner city delivery and then the suburbs are put on other trucks and out they all go working just fine.
  20. So based on other sites, seems the lone 2.0T 4 banger puts out the following specs: 2.-liter turbo diesel engine which could create 236 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque Gas is 201hp but no info on lb-ft of torque.
  21. I have to wonder how many more this will get expanded too, usually if a short cut like this is done on one model line, it usually is also done on the other models that use supplies from the same manufacture.
  22. Around here I see these type of trucks doing inner city delivery's for produce, fruit, office supplies, tech equipment, etc.
