Lets add more than just Ceramic brakes to that list too. -

2019 Chevy Silverado 2.7-liter, 4-cylinder hits 23 mpg
G. David Felt replied to ccap41's topic in Chevrolet
Agree, I think it will come down for some to cost. The story does not cover this at all and I have yet to see what the cost of the Turbo 4 banger is compared to the V8 options. Then a Turbo versus an NA V6 and one with electric assist, should be interesting to see how it falls out. I honestly would take a GM full size pickup with a Hybrid powertrain if it was using their strong NA V6 motor. I honestly do not see why GM is not building a toughened version of the VOLT power train and putting it in the full size truck. It would be class leading and kill the competition. -

Always gonna be a mixed bag when you go turbo 4 banging in a full size truck. Over all not bad though. Imagine if this was an EV with generator 2wd pickup, it would really roast the cross town rivals. As I posted in the update for this company, you could have blistering torque and power if you only went with 2 in-wheel hub motors. -
Agree on the Banality of the population, just head shaking. No not a mandate, just wish the auto companies would think about where they have the people look. Want to only offer a center stack screen fine, but their eyes should be straight ahead. Like GM did with Day Time running lights that are a great safety improvement to driving but never gov mandated that I know of as then everyone would have them and they do not. I just wish HUD was on all auto's as I think it would keep people paying attention to their real job. Driving safely.

Should make fishing in that section of stream easier for the nights dinner you will be hungry for once you winch your way out. ? Second thought, would it not just be totally waterproof? ? Young Padawan, the dark side is strong in you! Yet Sergio is dead just like every Sith and this has not stopped the move to better ways of getting around.

Getting my weird Al on while I get some work done! Weird how this reminds me of @ocnblu

I totally hate the Tesla 3 center screen only just like the Prius and every other cheap ass car that thinks a center mounted screen is good enough. HUD should be a requirement in auto's like this.

Is this what you mean? https://www.magazinauto.com/mutant-kad-se-spoje-toyota-prius-subaru-baja/ I have no idea why someone would want to merge a Prius with a Baja subaru, but I figure this is about as close as a Toyota Mutant I could find 500 plus years early!

Still not sold on this kind of service, but I guess for someone that wants a new auto every year or two it works. For used auto's this makes no sense to me. Auto's depreciate so fast and as things get broken you have a mess for used auto's. No one seems to take care of their auto's like me so I would not be interested in a used auto subscription service. FAILED CONCEPT IMHO.

ROFLMAO - This fad is just stupid!

I have to say that this is just way to funny to hear the husbands wife sailor mouth what happens. They were clearly looking around and NOT paying attention to their own auto warning.

I get what you are saying and no, Not talking about putting a Tesla P100D powertrain in an auto like this unless you have the money, time and want to do something crazy. More like just installing a close equal of a modern ICE or if desired electric powertrain. Heck thinking on this, you could probably replace that old motor with a modern 3 cylinder motor and transmission.

Elaphe has set up manufacturing in China and is going to build the updated in-wheel motors for sale. Using four of Elaphe's in-wheel motors gives you a combined 6,000 Nm of torque and 440 kW of power. Since America is too stupid to change to a superior math system, this equates to 4,425.37 LB-FT of torque and 590 Horsepower. Production of these in-wheel motors starts in January 2019 with annual build of 20,000 units and they are currently recruiting for more capital to expand production and go after larger customers. This makes so much common sense on having this in a truck or SUV just not a performance car.

Amazing he talks about quality fit n finish and the crap that has been built by Jaguar, Land rover, etc. is just pathetic. Have to say, I did get a great laugh out of watching it.

https://www.dailymotion.com/6bf8e0e4-c9ef-4f9b-82a5-efe8dab194fa You talking about this video? Americans do whatever Americans do, Incest! What a douche bag, no wonder they lost their empire. Clearly not interested in living life.

Thinking on this, you have hit an important point, Most of Europe is all about keeping their history roads, buildings, etc all as is and not change with modern roads / buildings. As such American Full size trucks will not work for most of Europe. I would say the mini trucks of past and the mid size trucks of today should do well. Bet if GM offered the ZR2 Bison they could sell there.

I would agree, they have been building out a couple thousand charge points a year and the various stories tend to imply they will be speeding up the ability to have charge points everywhere but nothing about what level or type. Be interesting as norway is on this push also to have the country all EV in the near future. So should be a gauge for bigger places on how they need to implement the charge infrastructure. Course the VW build out will help the US big time.
