GM News: Mark Reuss Takes On Role of President of GM
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
Thank you for posting, I wish APPLE would follow industry standards, MOV format just does not play on anything well except apple, lucky for me I have the VCL player installed. WOW, just $20 to fill up, amazing, I honestly cannot remember ever filling up an auto for less than $65 to 70 dollars or more. Cool, so 10 gallons in a minute for what an estimated 300 mile range? Cool. I just plug in my auto at night once I get it and every morning the tank will be full.- 57 replies

Fourth-Quarter 2018: General Motors

I so totally agree with this statement! Sorry, but I will have to disagree with you all the time about AWD kills Sportiness, we have way to many outstanding AWD cars to drive and there are some excellent sport SUVs. My Trailblazer SS AWD is a blast to drive and there is NOTHING lacking in the Sportiness department. -
Have to say I am really impressed with this update. I do wonder about the Portrait mode screen that could block vision for shorter people as it seems to sit very high on that dash. I really hope Ford stepped up the quality of the interior materials. Wish Ford all the best in sales.

Yawn, nothing new, to be expected. I would sure hate to buy one of the auto's assembled there right now. I can just see the crap that would be pulled by pissed off workers on the auto's. Reminds me of so many stories about auto's with unfinished work or hidden tools that made clunk noises, etc. from strikes at plants due to people sabotaging the assembly of the said auto's.

Or we all did get it and just being polite to avoid a warning! After all, 9 1/2 min of Rambling was exhausting last night!

Yup, I totally forgot about the Haldex system and Saab, that is such a history note in the books for me. -
CES 2019: 2019 Nissan Leaf Gains More Range :Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in CES
So Autoblog has a story on the Leaf Nismo and they got this info for the AWD Leaf Nismo Version: the new Leaf Nismo RC blows away the old car in terms of performance. With two 120-kW electric motors, the Leaf Nismo RC has all-wheel drive and puts down 478 pound-feed of torque. It'll sprint from 0-62 miles per hour in a brisk 3.4 seconds. Nissan didn't disclose what battery the Nismo RC uses, or its capacity. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/11/30/nissan-leaf-nismo-rc-race-car-electric-ev/- 18 replies

Fourth-Quarter 2018: General Motors

Before Toyota Bought the Subaru shares from GM, GM with a healthy ownership in Subaru is what used their AWD technology to build a better system which is what you find in the Escalade and now pretty much any of their AWD offerings and like Subabru, you pay for what you get, lesser capable in the cheaper auto's and better in the more expensive versions. GM makes an excellent AWD system, never had a problem in theirs and I figure it is because of the knowledge gained from Subaru. Yes, offer a Hummer package on the GMC trucks, the crawl ratio and overall off road capabilities puts the Jeeps to shame. -

We'll it was a 45 footer. Trailblazer SS AWD 2009 was the last one that is NOT a Camaro that I am aware of. -

I actually like the look of their Leaf Nismo performance version. Very cool it is being reported that it does go on sale in Japan first. https://jalopnik.com/the-nissan-leaf-nismo-is-happening-1827748580 That is great for a performance EV.- 18 replies

Fourth-Quarter 2018: General Motors

I do wonder if GM is doing their normal Stupid thing of bring out the normal levels, then in a year offer a little more performance and then the following year a little more and as they get to mid life, they then offer the SS top performance version. To me just stupid as I have no interest in the lower end versions, but the RS while I love the look inside and out, is trumped by the Trailhawk with the v8 and adjustable suspension for offroad capabilities that the same priced Blazer does not have nor can compete with. -

Plus Burt was looking so Asian before he died last September 2018 due to all the face lifts to keep attempting to look young rather than accept aging gracefully. We all get old, not the years but the miles and working out keeps ya going Spartan Strong! -

This is why I love my Trailblazer SS AWD, fast roomy and fun to drive. Wife loves it as a perfect size for her but she does want an EV pickup so Rivian or Atlis is the companies I will be watching as we have seen nothing from Detroit based OEMs. GM has WASTED the chance of taking the Sharp Blazer and making an SS that would be awesome. Yet with their stupid overpriced nutjob packaging of features, I doubt we will see anything like this any time soon. -

About damn time they got this delivered, but I do understand their air cooled battery pack was a failure and they needed a liquid system to do this with. Had to copy the Bolt for the most part on a long range liquid temperature controlled battery pack.- 18 replies

Quoted for Truth, Yup Sedans have no interest to me and will not in the future either. Trucks and SUVs baby! -
YAWN, The Generification continues of MB becoming the next Toyota!

Yup I would totally agree, but then who knows, like Drew said, they have been working on this since 2014, so one would hope it is a global platform, but then companies have made major mistakes before.

Some people like to talk to their movies, other like to watch and others like to be immersed in them, welcome to the 21st century of VR Porn CES along with the all new for 2019 Robotic Adult Toys section. Me, I think I want to take a new Atlas for a long road trip!

I agree that this will sell in very limited numbers. I am now thinking this is a stop gap measure till they get a new global Electric Bike Platform out. More that this will be used to allow a bunch of test drives for people to get used to the idea of an Electric Bike and allow the dealerships to install their charging systems till the full family is ready to roll out in 2022.

Talk about a Head Scratcher of choice. The only way I would buy a Blazer is as follows costing me an RS price of $53,755: AND CHEVROLET JUST LOST THE WAR!!! Built a Trailhawk 4x4 pretty much fully loaded with V8 compared to V6 at $54,015. I get so much more auto for the money. GM clearly is overpriced their CUVs. Love the look of the Blazer, but will take the Grand Cherokee over it. -
Awesome, so excited for this to hit the market. Sad the price is so high, I think they are truly thinking their name will justify the price, but I wonder.
