  1. Very excited for what might be shown that has not been talked about. Hope they show some cool concepts.
  2. Rivian did a customer appreciation event tonight for those in Michigan that put down their deposit and it was very well received. https://www.instagram.com/rivianofficial/ https://www.instagram.com/stories/rivianofficial/
  3. I am in total agreement with you on this and am excited by what we will see. Hope @Drew Dowdell or @William Maley if they are there can get close to get us some good pics.
  4. Biggest shock would come if they announce a merge of equals. That would be the far out crazy big announcement. I expect they will announce that they are going to share and build all products including cars, trucks and SUV's in addition to all things commercial. Should prove interesting, think if Ford can get access to the Porsche / Audi EV 4 door Sedan what that could do for Lincoln. ?
  5. I would totally agree, yet if I did have extra money that I could Gamble with, I would consider investing in this company.I like their concept and what they are wanting to achieve.
  6. Common Peeps can invest in Atlis Motor Vehicles company here: https://www.startengine.com/atlis-motor-vehicles Seems they hit their Million Dollar Mark to get things started. Atlis original mockups truly copied Rivian too much. Glad they went with this instead.

  8. Welcome back, great to have you back checking in, hope to see your input on various topics here. Glad you enjoy your sun and heat, I love my Seattle wet weather. Have to say I thought this was very cool of what Tesla has setup in Alaska for year round cold weather testing. Good Story here: https://insideevs.com/tesla-winter-testing-facility-alaska/
  9. I know the car for you, custom car manufacture supposedly got approval from Ford to make a Limited run of 200 GR-1's. They will be offering it with ICE and EV versions. Talk about Super Sexy! https://www.autoblog.com/2019/01/08/superformance-ford-shelby-gr-1-concept/
  10. Soul Quest another great Album! Rocking it in the background!
  11. Here ya go my friend: FYI, I use BING and always state to search for "What is the average Salary for St. Louis Missouri?" You can use that exact same statement for any city / state and it grabs the info for you unlike Google that gives weird results. Microsoft has really stepped up their search engine game. https://www.bing.com/search?q=What is average salary for St. Louis Missouri&cbir=sbi&imageBin=&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&pq=what is average salary for st. louis missouri&sc=1-45&sk=&cvid=85CCAD625AEE44278B930A69855C570B The average salary in St. Louis, Missouri is $52,568. Trends in wages are going up with a 0.4 percent increase over last quarter as of Q3 2018. The cost of living in St. Louis is 5.9 percent lower than the national average. 12. LOVING Keiko Matsui latest Jazz Album I will have to say that she incorporated some awesome references to various movies as I hear James Bond in the beginning as well as some other great soundtracks.
  13. Seattle though does have one of the highest college educated workforces in the country based on % to population and as such it also goes with higher income so as the state pushes to go all EV, gas prices are heavily taxed here. The average salary in Seattle, Washington is $69,366. Trends in wages are down 0 percent as of Q3 2018. The cost of living in Seattle is 48.8 percent higher than the national average. The most popular occupations in Seattle are Software Engineer, Software Development Engineer (SDE), and Senior Software Engineer which pay between $101,160 and $127,723 per year. 14. As an axample, 2009 Trailblazer LT w/ 3LT 4x4 option has the 285HP straight six motor and weights 4,523 lbs 2009 Trailblazer SS AWD with 6L V8 has 400HP and weights 4,663 If it was only a 20hp difference I would agree that there is really just a wash between RWD and AWD, but when you put in 115HP increase with only a 140lb weight increase, it is noticeable difference in the driving dynamic.
  15. Totally agree, from the housing market to Retail and the stock market, many signs things are about to cool off even is the stock market holds or goes up. After all, there are plenty of people putting cash into 401K's and as such, the money has to go some place. Yet with that said, many signs we are headed for a pause, recession, cooling off of the global economy, etc..
  16. I LOVE HUD systems for having the basic info at the bottom of the window, Cadillac HUD is AWESOME. Yet with that said, I am NOT a fan of having the auto tell me as shown above in the picture curves, turns, etc. Keep your augmented reality HUD system, just keep it simple and straightforward like in my Cadillac!
  17. If the starting recession goes deep enough, FORD will need to be bailed out. Their debt is way out of control and the loans would call it all in just about killing the company. I can see Ford and FCA being the next auto companies to need a bailout.
  18. I have to call BS on that, So many have kids including myself, yet where are yours? Seems Diesel and ICE clearly affected you maybe? Even the AWD Nismo? ?
  19. WOW, Wish gas was that cheap here, Course flow rate is heavily dictated on maintenance of the system and how dirty the filters are for pumping the gas from the holding tanks into an auto. I have seen some very slow systems which would make me think twice about fueling as I would worry about water in the system on top of all the sediment. Washington state average: Regular Mid-grade Premium Diesel Washington $3.014 $3.234 $3.374 $3.246 So True! My wife liked the Rivian but was not thrilled by it, after seeing the Atlis pickup, she said she can see us owning and driving one. She is a very hands on person before spending money. Not a virtual person and is not a tech person at all as I have huge support with her and tech, so once the Atlis is in production, she wants to go see it in person. That could be the next auto in the driveway.
  20. I would like to preorder the Slappy Pappy's Supper Sloppy and The Dirty Sancho with a Dr. Pepper. Gonna have to make two trips as I also want to try The Doginator along with The Texas Tommy with the Salty Dog! Hot Dogs Sounds like a very dirty filter on their pump system. That is how one can tell if a station maintains their pumps or not, slow filling is a clear sign their filters are clogging up with contaminants.
  21. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/investors-are-finding-out-now-why-the-stock-market-tanked-in-december/ar-BBS1yeY?li=BBnb7Kz Yup get ready for recession.
  22. We'll this just continues to confirm we are in for a recession as I expect more global slow down. GM and Ford are doing the right thing reducing headcount and closing factories of surplus capacity. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/investors-are-finding-out-now-why-the-stock-market-tanked-in-december/ar-BBS1yeY?li=BBnb7Kz
  23. No Fall out, smart management of cutting costs as the economy cools. At Will Employment, no one is promised a job. Every Company does this and yet for some messed up reason so many people want to prosecute GM and give a pass to so many others. Bank of America has pushed the bulk of their work force to part time to avoid paying benefits and reduce costs while increasing executive compensation and I do not see people attacking them. This can be said of so many companies, GM is doing what is needed to survive and reduce over capacity. I really fail to see why so many people think they are promised a job as well as security. Where does it say that in our constitution? Also so many people have talked even here at C&G about the over capacity glut of auto manufacturing and yet GM seems to be the only one with stones to do something about it for their long term strength and survival. Weird how everyone seems to be up in arms over this normal business function. ?
  24. So true as I love the R33 and R34 Skyline but the Nissan GTR is not the Godzilla Skyline of the past. Different era, different dynamic. I agree with you about the Hot Corolla.
