  1. For me, rewatching Charmed, NCIS, Criminal Minds, and amazing to see how we improved over the years with CGI and how things are processed. Watch "Lost in Space", excited for season 2, excited for the new season of "The 100", have tried many different shows, some have been good but are now canceled. Guess I am not much of a tv watching as I would rather go to the gym and work out than sit around in front of the TV. I do love Cheers and Gears, one of the more emotional investments I have made in a long time. While lacking some female perspective and character, it is very emotional with all the various characters on the show!
  2. Anything would be better than the current one. Mor power please.
  3. It really is too funny how our marketing has changed from the 70's / 80's to now. Searching shows just how sexist it was. Old Video Game Ads Just a few of the ads that I found for games I played and starting off with one of my early computers I had.
  4. Pass The coupe thing has really made me realize unless it is 2 doors, coupes are so tiring on everything else. Plus as you all know being such a big guy, I want a REAL SUV, not this toy!
  5. GM is doing an outstanding job of how they manage the over capacity and yet have jobs available for those displaced. We are going into crazy times where I think we will see a down sizing of employment jobs at the auto companies. Tesla after reviewing their auto ownership has stopped with yearly maintenance and moved to a as needed part replacement plan. I see the move to EV's will do the same for the mechanic and assembly jobs. A reduction is coming and yet with that new options in automated equipment repair and maintenance is upon us.
  6. Yes, but they comment and your pictures show that two carry on suitcases and a couple back packs would go back there without folding down the 3rd row seats and in the BMW they had to fold them down, so that space must be tight right up against the rear glass. Which the picture William posted on this thread seems to confirm that.
  7. Cool to see the details of each plant GM runs on their website. https://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/plants-facilities.html
  8. Seems Tesla after crunching their Big Data has announced the end of their service schedule and moved to a service as needed when parts wear out. They will still honor their yearly service contracts but no new ones will be sold. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/tesla-eliminates-service-schedules/
  9. Interesting first drive of the new X7 and wow some big draw backs for what is supposed to be a full size SUV but clearly is NOT. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/reviews/2019-bmw-x7-preview/ Surprised that for two carry on suitcases and backpacks, the reviewers had to fold down the 3rd row seats as there is no cargo room. Interesting the tight cramped quarters that are mentioned no matter where you sit especially for big tall guys. ?
  10. AWESOME, Thank you again @dwightlooi, This has been a great evening of working my job and learning some new stuff on new auto's. Very cool informative videos! Question for you, with the complexity of these engines and the various cam phases, what do you think the engine life will be if the basic maintenance is done? 250,000 miles 350,000 miles ?????? Appreciate your take on the engine life of these new designs.
  11. @oldshurst442 Seems EV tax breaks are in fashion. Your country just announced today a new $5,000 tax break that can be used immediately for your first tax year of ownership for everyone who wants to buy an EV that costs $45,000 or less. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/canada-announces-new-5000-ev-incentive-but-no-teslas-need-apply/ Tesla need not apply
  12. That is great info to know and I wonder if that is what they are doing with this years XT5 that I had as a service loaner for a few days. The start / stop was barely noticable compared to earlier year versions. Thank you Dwight, I love this type of learning. You made my day as I am still working so a break like this is very welcomed by me. You Rock!
  13. THANK YOU Dwight!!! This is very interesting information, so Ford then choose to write off the investment and go another route versus GM wanting to get money out of their investment and offer a rather pathetic power train. These are the type of decisions that GM will end up hurting by. Yes it would be great if every dollar invested in R&D returned a profit, but sometimes, the best intentions means you throw it into the garbage bin and start over. Very sad for sure, Hopefully GM will realize they need to offer something better. Put this in the Chevrolet's and bring in a proper Torque heavy Tranny!
  14. Yup, I understand that cause Washington is a right-to-work state too. I was thinking of the German unions that are going to get real loud due to this I think.
  15. This makes total sense and I expect to see more tie ups between auto companies to cover global markets as costs rise and profits are squeezed. It will be interesting to see who ends up on top in the future. India I can see going EV's sooner rather than later to deal with their dirty air issues. Africa, I do not see EV's happening in the next 100 years there until they can accept and stop killing each other. One market that is scary based on the amount of civil war. Interesting that Suzuki has already created a motor that meets the new stricter emission standards. I can easily see both of these companies moving to a single platform to share among both companies.
  16. This totally makes sense. The unions better get used to a reduced paying employee base.
  17. Agree the wrangler will still sell well. Was curious, so off to the Chrysler website to see what details were. Pacifica Limited has a $44,445 MSRP. Pacifica Limited Hybrid has a $45,545 MSRP I am expecting Jeep to keep the price tight like this too!
  18. Just edit your original post. You get lots of stuff right, lovely cars for sure and some prime examples of bad corporate badge engineering. LOL
  19. Sweet ride. No Reserve: 38k-Mile 1973 Ford LTD Coupe http://flip.it/3RzB7S
  20. Too Late, the Wrangler PHEV is out already on the roads being tested. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/03/20/2021-jeep-wrangler-phev-spy-photos/
  21. Seems the First Jeep Gladiators are rolling off the assembly line finally.
  22. Your right I have said two different things, I think for the class, CPO is better than these auto's new IMHO. I also am not impressed with C Class or any of the others. I just feel that the overall class is a cheap class that if we were not forced to deal with stupid nanny devices and other unneeded items the auto makers could give a superior ride with superior quality materials at that price point. I see nothing wrong with manual windows or door locks. When we are talking inexpensive auto's I think their is much that could be done better in a base auto than what you get out of this class for the price. But that IMHO.
  23. That is working again, Thank you Yup this is working again too.
