Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Alternative Fuels & Propulsion
Gotta love that Sema is embracing EV's so well. GM it seems is going to offer electric power train crate motors that run on 800 Volt systems. One truck that used a dual setup for AWD was the E-10 Hot Rod truck. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1125874_chevy-e-10-electric-hot-rod-truck-concept-has-a-double-shot-of-bolt-ev 450 horsepower, a 0-60 time in the 5.0-second range, and a quarter-mile time of approximately 13 seconds - LOVELY TRUCK 2020 Kia Iqonic EV got a boost to 38 kWh battery pack with an EPA rating of 170 miles. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1125897_2020-hyundai-ioniq-electric-range-boosted-to-170-miles-for-most-efficient-ev-on-the-market -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

So much excitement coming to the EV world this fall. November 21st we finally get to see the Tesla Pickup Truck. Be interesting to see how it compares to Rivian who I still expect to get to market far ahead of Tesla. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/11/06/tesla-pickup-truck-reveal-november-21/ November 19th we get to see the New ID reveal at the LA autoshow for our EV from VW. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/10/30/vw-ev-concept-petersen-museum-la-auto-show/ November 17th is the official reveal of the production Ford Mach E at LA Auto Show. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/10/30/ford-mach-e-rendered-mustang-inspired-ev-crossover/ Spy photos are leaking of the flagship EQS EV from Mercedes-Benz https://www.autoblog.com/2019/10/29/mercedes-benz-eqs-interior-spy-shots/#slide-2180535 Fisker SUV reservations go live later this month on November 27th, the reveal is January 4th 2020. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/10/31/fisker-ocean-electric-suv/ -
Looks like a solid commuter basic auto.

Customer preference have changed we all know this, Once Trucks / SUVs are out, I think it will increase the move to EVs. I honestly think Rivian will be a hit and once Ford starts selling their Rivian built F150, that it will go over very well.

I think it is working enough to drive interest by those that can afford a new High 20K one when available or they wait for a use EV that is in that price range.

Buses from the north end exit at Stewart and go down and turn left onto 2nd Ave. I get off at 2nd and S Washington. I get back onto the bus to go north at 4th and S Jackson then up 4th and turn onto Olive way and ride it till the expressway, then buzz up north. January 2023 is when the eastside lite rail connects to Seattle and goes live. You can ride from Redmond into Bellevue and then across I90 to downtown Seattle where at 5th and Jackson you can change to either go up north on the lite rail or south.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

Seems the reports of only early this year and late last year that battery price per kW would be $187 per kW by 2025 are way off after massive advancements have the battery industry heading to $87 per kW battery pack cost by 2025. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/new-report-cost-and-performance-of-batteries-improving-much-faster-than-forecast/ -
Seems the US is expected to lag the global world in the transition to EV auto's due to cheap oil. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffmcmahon/2019/10/29/why-the-us-will-lag-behind-the-global-transition-to-electric-vehicles/#528e61b81834

Subaru News: Subaru and Toyota Teaming Up for Next WRX
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Subaru
So we get a spicy looking WRX with lack luster Camry performance. Sounds like a Snooze Fest. ? -
Been this kind of day at work, so glad I am no longer in management, the politics are just so tiring. Not worth the money or responsibilities.

? Could we not be professional and just wait till the movie comes out and then debate each persons take on the facts of the movie? ?♂️

Infiniti News: Infiniti Releases Teaser Image of New QX55
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Infiniti
I have not seen any in the Seattle area, it is like a Ghost with no plasma holding ability. They are vaporware. -
Yes, I work at 1st and King Street and walk through Pioneer Square to get to my bus. This Toy was just outside our front doors at 505 First Ave South.

Awesome read, wish more writers on both sides of the spectrum would take a step back to look at themselves. You Rock!

Yup with my son working at Amazon, even he says I am weird to not buy from them, use them or have a prime account. Just never found a reason to use it in comparison to my local retailers. Course, I hate shopping so that could also have something to do with it. Wife loves to shop, so brings home cloths for me to try on, then return what does not fit. Only thing I shop for is Auto's and Home Theater stuff.

Seems failure of a front wheel assembly from hitting something is what caused this amazing womans death at almost 550 mph. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/cause-determined-in-jessi-combs-fatal-speed-record-crash/ar-AAJQHG7?li=BBnbfcL RIP Jessi Combs ☠️

What does that app give you on the auto when driving, the ability to order stuff? Yup, probably one of the few people that does not have an amazon account or use them.

I get what you are saying, my daughter has spotify and added my wife and I on her account. Have to say, I am loving how it just works on my Panasonic Android / Apple head unit in the SS and is commercial free. Has made me decide to update the OEM head unit in my Escalade to an aftermarket unit as it is just awesome. Love listening to my music with no commercials. In regards to XM Satellite Radio, I have it on the Escalade and if it was not for the offer I took at the time when they were merging with Sirius to not loose me, I would not have it today. I now have lifetime on my Escalade for XM, so the best $200 I spent back in 2007 when the merger was anounced and after 57 weeks, took place on March 24th 2008. I will say that much of SiriusXM has talk shows and commercials now and it becomes harder and harder to listen as I hate commercials and talk shows, just let me listen to my music. As such, Spotify and YouTube Music are great. Worth the small yearly cost for commercial free music everywhere.

Sema 2019 looks to be awesome. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/behind-scenes-sema-2019-photo-gallery/ https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/sema/sneak-peek-75plus-chevy-engines-at-sema-2019/ar-AAJRKUA?li=BBnb4R5 So many amazing auto's to see. This exhaust is a lovely class act of metal work. Seems rat mobiles are in too. Amazing all the custom big block motor work at the show this year.
