  1. Seems FCA has joined up with Faraday Future to produce a Jeep Renegade 4x4e. https://electrek.co/2019/12/02/strange-bedfellows-fiat-chrysler-and-faraday-future-working-together-on-electric-vehicles/ Interesting question to ponder, how much more empty assembly plants will North America have by 2025 with the growth of EV startups? ? Lucid finally has financing as they start actual construction on their huge $700 million dollar factory in Arizona. https://electrek.co/2019/12/02/lucid-first-image-ev-factory/ With a secure $1 billion from Saudi Arabia, they seem to have the money to move forward with building their wicked fast 4 door sedan.
  2. Based on info captured by other reporting outfits, Ford is planning on 50,000 Mach e a year to begin and then ramps from there as batteries become more available. That makes it 4,166 plus per month. Would for sure kill all the others in sales if they hit this for the first year. OK, some clarity, sales of the Mach e goes on first in the US and Europe with a split of about 25,000 to Europe and 25,000 to the US. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1126230_how-many-mustang-mach-e-electric-suvs-will-ford-build-we-ve-got-numbers We now know where the electrics will be built in their new contract.
  3. Very cool conversion. We will get a new EV microbus in 2021 as a 2022 model and yet VW supplied a very clean old VW Microbus to EV West https://evwest.com/catalog/ which is well known for their EV conversions and they even kept the manual shifter for those wanting to row but gave a all original interior with an EV power train. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1126223_vw-project-e-bus-electric-microbus-builds-buzz-with-e-golf-transplant
  4. Have to say the profiles are nice on these twins. I myself like the more upright Palisade rear, but the sporty looking stance of the Telluride. From the Front, I have ended up vacillating back n forth between them both. They are both nice looking depending on my mood. Like the look of the Telluride from the back over the Palisade. Interesting looking at the competition of these CUVs.
  5. Very true, Will take this over the Predator mouth of the Lexus auto's every day!
  6. Snow covers the grim underneath. Frozen sunny days here in the West, aka Seattle. Wish it would rain here so we get snow in the mountains to ski.
  7. Hopefully as auto companies move to a Skateboard type platform of EV auto's they can continue to go more robotics to further reduce the UAW and as needed build plants in non-union areas. Unions HAD their place at one time and now have gotten as corrupt as the Political mess in DC. If the US auto companies do not find a better way to move forward with building profitable entry level auto's to ubber luxury auto's without paying college wages to assembly line workers, their days will be numbered and they will end up in a mess. So my strategy as you asked for is building new tech assembly plants in non-union states, automate further existing plants to reduce UAW presence and hold the line against costs so that the auto makers can offer profitable entry level auto's.
  8. Wonder if ya can do like the early 70's when seat belt buzzers first were put in, you just unplugged the sensor in the bottom of the seat so it never buzzed when someone got in and did not connect the seat belt.
  9. Ya mean Z71????? ? Never heard of a Z51 unless this is the Canuck model?
  10. Redmond Town Center by the Taco Time. Seems they are more popular than I realized as I played tour guide for my sister and her out of town friends this weekend and I saw many Half Car E's. Maybe just a relation to Microsoft / Google / Amazon sites in Redmond for work.
  11. And now the rest of American Auto companies are Screwed over again.
  12. So much better ways to spend time than that. LOL
  13. First e half car I have seen ever.
  14. Had a great T-day, hope everyone else did. My family is not big on Turkey, so I did my Butter roasted Chickens and candied Ham. Hope everyone is have a great holiday weekend.
  15. @oldshurst442 @USA-1 It is a Holiday after all.
  16. This or talk SUVs, ? Very hard decision. Or where you thinking reboot Daisy?
  17. Have to say I love the Sierra Burgundy color. ? Over all nice SUV, but I will stick with my Escalade.
  18. It does make me wonder if they could be using one of the denser solid state batteries like the Toshiba battery cell that has just started production. About 4 times the energy density in comparison to the same size Panazonic cell Tesla uses.
  19. What red blooded american boy did not have a crush on Daisy and her shorts!
  20. Like this, should help those that Fear a pure EV move more that way but with backup.
  21. Here is an interesting read on a comparison of what is known about this SUV versus the Urus. https://gulfnews.com/auto/car-culture/comparison-aston-martin-dbx-vs-lamborghini-urus-1.1574676553090 Guess the web site did this to get clicks as there is no info on the Aston compared to the Maybach. https://www.suvdrive.com/comparison/aston-martin-dbx-2020-vs-mercedes-maybach-gls-600-4matic-2020
  22. Shatter proof maybe, but pop apart proof no. 3 pieces for sure, LOL
