  1. These type of people irritate me as this is all about him making money and now with prices going down he is not happy. Poor him, there are folks living a much worse life than that and yet he still thinks he is being informative and helpful when his whole focus is flipping autos for a profit. I do not hold it against him as it is his business, but the attitude from the beginning to the end sucks I feel. On cool notes, my friend check out this crazy wood working project. Love it. 2. Nice, you continue to show blind faith to Narcissistic Musk. Tesla lost 100,000's of thousands of dollars per EV in the early days due to all the R&D and especially the warranty claims they had. This is nothing new as your $76K figure is way off as you cannot push everything onto each EV when there are costs not associated with the building of EVs, but due to many other costs in building any business. I am sure your basing it on this story from a company that has made it very clear that EVs are the devil. Ford Loses Nearly $60,000 for Every Electric Vehicle Sold - TheStreet
  3. Everyone is jumping on the bash EV band wagon and those that promise and then do not deliver. Even Toyota Chairman and prior CEO who hates EVs has said see, I told you so, public does not want EVs attitude. Such turds cannot see the future over their own greed of today and money. I get that GM is delaying the Equinox launch till next year. We are in very uncertain times and with the current interest rates, most are not willing to buy now unless they have too.
  4. Ouch, glad it was not worse, it could have been so much worse. Yup, need to always be alert and follow better safety.
  5. That is sexy, should have been built, I know folks that would have bought it then. Course now everyone wants raised SUVs and Trucks except for a minor portion of folks that still want cars. ? Wonder if @oldshurst442 would buy it and drive it?
  6. Agree, she nails it for woman to not walk away from but run away from. I have a brother-in-law that had bought one of the Buick GS supercharged V6 cars new, it never made it past 77K miles and he blamed it on GM building shitty autos. Sadly, the reason the motor failed him was he never did any maintenance on it. No oil changes and especially the required 30K mile Supercharger maintenance. Yes, GM figured out how to make a supercharged motor go 100K tune up/maintenance a few years after the GS first came out with this motor, but he failed to read his auto manual and know the maintenance. I have zero respect for those that blame an auto maker when they do nothing to take care of their auto.
  7. Glad you have not had issues, Jasper and Fraser have been very clear on the motor issues and the updates they did to correct them. JASPER Remanufactured Engines & Transmissions (jasperengines.com) This independent review hits the big 4 main issues with the Pentastar 3.6L V6. The 4 Most Common FCA Pentastar 3.6L Engine Problems (tuningpro.co) Some of the most common issues with the Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler 3.6 Pentastar engine include: Cylinder head (2011-2013) Rocker arms Cooling system Oil pump CHRYSLER 3.6L VVT MOPAR CRATE ENGINE | Fraser Engines and Transmissions (fraserengineco.com) I get it that due to the wide use of this motor, it comes across as reliable, but with Stellantis high Lease rate, I suspect the full picture is not known of the shortcuts Stellantis has taken in the past for the PentaStar 3.6L V6. At least it is good to be aware of the potential issue with this engine.
  8. Seems like for North America, everyone except Lucid and Stellantis have joined the NACS pac! List: Every Automaker Adopting Tesla's NACS EV Charging Tech (businessinsider.com)
  9. Lately I am seeing plenty of Fords along the freeway getting towed as well as Jeeps GCs. On the Jeep side, I am very pissed with Stellantis/Jeep as they have major poor quality issues on their 2011 to current 3.6L V6. Seems from dropped valves to full heads blowing up and leaking water pumps into the engines causing said engine to blow. My son's 2017 engine with only 120,000 miles needs a new engine as the water pump leaked into the engine and blew the heads. Both Jasper and Frazer motors highlights the poor problems with the 3.6 and how they both in newly built 3.6L V6 engines has corrected this but Jeep has not and as such, while you see plenty of stories on reliability on this motor, the motor is not as reliable as the marketing has stated as they put it into so many autos now under Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler. Seems Stellantis is using this as a way to have end of life on their auto's to force folks to buy a new auto. Sucks as I have never had a blown engine in my life and now my son is dealing with this. We are considering having one of the newly built Jasper or Frazer motors installed into his Jeep to get it going and in then unload it in a few years. Right now, if you have a Jeep with the 3.6L engine @Robert Hall I suggest you get rid of it before it hits 100,000 miles. Alex did all the maintenance on it and the dealership is now being very coy about why it did what it did. I can tell you my family will not be buying anymore Jeep products.
  10. Thanks for the humor, Good Luck with the Hip surgery. GM has their fair share of dirty laundry too, no lie there, pretty much every auto company does.

  12. I totally agree with the writer on why Tesla Stock is past its prime and will fall more. https://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2023/10/20/why-teslas-stock-may-have-passed-its-peak/
  13. V12 will never get full approval as it has no redundancy systems. Musk seems to think he can do it all with Camera's and no backups and the Gov will never let him have it his way. Musks way is to gamble your life as long as you play him money, that is what V12 of FSD really is. A computer game to Musk. He has no respect for life or humans, only his only dick and money.
  14. With all the lies of Musk and their BS FSD go ahead and buy Tesla and use it and give your life to being a beta test dummy for Musk as so many have died due to his LIES!!! Their FSD is not Level 3 and will not be Level 4 as they have no redundancy systems that are required for those levels. Mercedes has a better system than Tesla and even then they are very much limited in how much their Level 3 in 2 states can do. Tesla edits to give a narrow scope of what the product does, and has not shown all the problems with FSD as to why they never sell an actual working product, just you pay to be a beta tester which allows them to LIE about what FSD can actually do.
  15. What does all politicians have in common? Epstein's Island!!!
  16. A Republican, a Democrat, and Bill Clinton are traveling in a car when a tornado picks up the car and tosses them miles into the air. When the car finally comes back down, the three men realize they’ve been transported to Oz. “I’m going to ask the Wizard for a brain,” says the Democrat. “I’m going to ask him for a heart,” says the Republican. Bill Clinton looks around and asks the two men, “Where do you think Dorothy is?” The following is a funny and true story shared with me by KC Williams who teaches AP Government at Santa Fe High School. In one of KC's classes, they were discussing the qualifications to be president of the United States . It was pretty simple. The candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age. However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president. KC and the class were just taking it in and letting her rant, but everyone's jaw hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating .... "What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by c-section?" And someday she'll vote!
  17. Tesla FSD and GM Supercruise are both Level 2, but unlike FSD which only allows 3 minutes of hands off driving before it goes into panic mode about putting your hands back on the wheel, GM Supercruise is actually hands free driving. Mercedes is a LIMITED Level 3 driving up to 40 mph only in Nevada and California and both states have heavy stipulations. Mercedes-Benz Level 3 autonomous driving first to be US certified (electrek.co) Mercedes Preparing for Autonomous Driving in U.S. With Drive Pilot Level 3 (motortrend.com) Full paperwork for those two states are supposedly filed, but no confirmation and Mercedes says they hope to have all of the U.S. by the end of 2023 filed so 2024 the whole U.S. will have Level 3 self driving up to 40 MPH. Yet nothing is finalized yet, so right now Mercedes can only advertise as a SAE certified Level 2 with Level 3 coming. Mercedes might get there first, but it does not mean it will be the best. I would not say a level 3 self driving with speed limit of 40 mph is anything to brag about.
  18. Very cool history about EVs https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jake-fox-materials_ev-activity-7119112143920058368-p3CJ?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android
  19. FSD is pure FUD with deaths and lawsuits to match. It will never happen with the camera only approach Musk has directed them to go as this cheapness is also what has caused the deaths and lawsuits. Until they get a real software/tech leader, Musk is a poison to the company now. He is too focused on his FUD X domain.
  20. Thank you Drew, was not aware of the history here, very interesting.
  21. Will be interesting to see if it ever gets done since they say they expect to have it built by 2030 but this is dependent on how many people volunteer and donations. As stated a $20 million dollar donation could allow them to build it in 5 to 6 years. Question why, why build something based on the 1940s and is old technology. To me it seems like people are trying to live in the past and as has been proven, stagnation causes death, so I just do not see any value in these old trains, but that is my personal view on it. Will be interesting to see where they are in a couple of years.
  22. Guess it must be where I live as trains here have very little interest by society and Amtrak is rarely used here. So what was local trains has pretty much died out and even support for lite rail here is dropping which I believe is mostly due to the cost of the system and poor planning due to ignoring superior systems over seas. Politics clearly has played it hand here in limiting what rail can do and get done. Would be nice if they actually put rail in that serviced the community rather than select groups.
  23. Make what you will of it, but I think Tesla is still way overpriced for what they do and GM and Ford are underpriced in a stock market.
  24. Having taken one trip on a private coach at the back of Amtrak from Chicago to Seattle, I will say that it is very relaxing and a very slow pace of traveling the U.S. Not sure trains have much of a future unless we truly invest in highspeed trains as I think the generations that supported steam, coal or wood burning trains are all going 6 feet under, and the younger generations do not care as they have moved forward with the tech and high speed of society and the future. It will be interesting to see how train museums and private rail cars handle the next decade.
