  1. Just as long as it does not look like this. ? https://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/08/street-spot-black-and-gold-hummer-h2-belongs-to-alligator-ron-bergeron/
  2. Seems we have hit the inverting yield curve to down indicating recession. Be interested to see what companies survive and what one fold in the auto industry. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/the-inverting-yield-curve-is-about-more-than-recession-this-time/ar-BBZu7bK?li=BBnb7Kz
  3. Agree that Hummer should have always been a sub-brand of GMC as a special off road product line. I am excited to see it on 5/20/2020 and learn more about it. I hope they really hit a home run on the style and interior.
  4. Excellent question that I would love to know the answer too also. balthazar found this story from last year where RJ is on record saying they had multiple Rivian platforms testing around detroit using F150 bodies as they fit onto the platform. As such this very well could be the Rivian skateboard with a true F150 body. https://electrek.co/2019/02/27/rivian-undercover-f-150-electric-pickup-truck-test-mules/
  5. I would think stocking up, did you not see the F150 EV video I had posted that shows it looks allot like the ICE F150. Pretty easy to build an identical looking body and bolt it to the skateboard platform.
  6. Awesome, so EXCITED to see the reveal on May 20th 2020. EXCITEMENT! Brought to you by the fine folk's at GMC I totally agree with @balthazar that the Hummer design DNA is very upscale / futuristic and should do well as a sub brand of GMC. Be interesting to see what the starting price will be. I expect this will be around $80K and go up and over $100K for the fully loaded AWD 1,000HP / 11,500 lbft of torque monster. I can see them selling every one they make if they deliver on the quality, specs and rich looking DNA Style.
  7. Keep in mind that they will ship batteries to Ford for their F150 line which will use the Rivian platform. So the double battery shifts are probably taking the F150 into account too.
  8. Sorry to hear she broke her foot. Wishing her a speedy recovery, glad you will have company for the drive home. Safe journey.
  9. So she is staying there and not coming back with you? Wow, long lonely road trip with out a companion. Mexico has bought Mustang GTs to use as drug interceptor auto's according to TheDrive. https://www.thedrive.com/news/32003/mexican-police-department-adds-ford-mustang-gts-as-drug-interceptors Have to say there are some funny stories out there today, The Range Rover driver who tried to drive his auto up a ski slope drunk. Arrested for DUI at 59 years of age in Vermont. https://www.thedrive.com/news/32005/range-rover-driver-hit-with-dui-after-driving-up-magic-mountain-ski-slope OUCH, Nissan announced today employee cuts of 20,000 in the US as the auto maker circles the drain in attempting to stay open and functional. This is on top of the announced last month of a 12,500 head count reduction globally. Wonder who might buy them up? https://www.thedrive.com/news/32004/more-bad-news-at-nissan
  10. According to TheDrive that was reviewing Ferrari's patent filings, seems their next supercar will be a quad motor AWD EV. Lot more pics at the story and it clearly is also taking into account having a Ferrari EV CUV it would seem based on these patent filings. Kiss another auto maker ICE auto's going bye bye down the road. https://www.thedrive.com/news/31990/ferraris-first-ev-could-have-quad-motor-all-wheel-drive-patents-suggest Quote: Depending on packaging requirements, Ferrari can either join a pair of these units by their motors for rear-drive applications (left) or by their step-down boxes (center) for front-axle use, the latter likely only on an all-wheel-drive vehicle. In theory, that could give Ferrari's EV the ability to mimic Rivian's tank turn, but it's hard to imagine the haughty Ferrari having enough of a sense of humor to program a feature like that into its products.
  11. How is that auto related? ? Ahhhhhh juices that is it, everything has to be properly lubed! Got it!
  12. True as no German brands do it either. So 1990's of them.
  13. @surreal1272 Awesome pics, my son and I also have Cannon DSLRs and they Rock! The Flex is looking good!
  14. According to MotorTrend, fords Mach e while pissing off the mustang faithful has already sold out all production for America and Europe for the first year. As such with GM having a flexible EV platform and considerable new EVs coming over the next 3 years, this begs the question of Could GM produce a Camaro EV CUV and call it the Z28? With the first nine auto's off the EV platform to be a Cadillac, one has to wonder how GM might fit the sporty performance into their product line and having a performance CUV Camaro could be the magic ticket. To quote the MotorTrend story: we'd expect a Chevy Camaro electric SUV to at least match the 255 horsepower Ford is targeting for the base Mustang Mach-E. For higher-trim variants, Chevy would likely have to adopt a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup to stay competitive with the 332-hp, 417-lb-ft Mach-E 4 and 459-hp, 612-lb-ft Mach-E GT. https://www.motortrend.com/news/chevrolet-camaro-e-28-renderings/
  15. If the Escalade comes out looking like this from the info at Motor Trend, will be a sad Panda day. Where is the luxury in that Escalade. GMC looks better than the Escalalde and is very different from all of them. Escalade looks like it borrowed way to much from Chevrolet.
  16. Thanks for the post. Building 25,000 vans a year for Amazon leaves space for 239,000 R1T and R1S EVs. RJ thinks trucks will start out high, but eventually equal SUV so that is 119,500 R1T and 119,500 R1S a year. If they hit it, time to expand. Course, that does not take into account the building of the Lincoln SUV that is to start in 2022. I could see them running out of space fast if Lincoln nails the style / design of their body to go on the skateboard platform by Rivian. I honestly can see myself with one of each in my own driveway.
  17. Price did drop as the basic version of the truck dropped from $70K to $61,500 and SUV from $72K to $65K. They never had posted prices on the mid spec version till now, but that seems to be filling in the past beginning prices as the mid price versions now.
  18. OUCH, GM is asking for a Do Over on a Brake Recall that affects over half a million 2019 silverado's, sierras and CT6 auto's. To Quote: The original software fix helped address situations where the vehicles' anti-lock braking systems would become disabled, which in turn would prevent electronic stability control from activating. Unfortunately, the early version of this fix appears to have introduced yet another software glitch. This new gremlin skews things in the other direction, potentially activating the brakes when they aren't even needed. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/01/29/gm-brake-recall-do-over/ OUCH, GM ? Clearly the QA plan was NOT the best on this software release. Crazy seeing their internet ads everywhere now as they push selling the New Old Mustang builds. https://revologycars.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI67v_lsup5wIVCbF-Ch2WiQzIEAEYASAAEgJLSPD_BwE
  19. Your correct that a little over a year ago base start price was at $70,000 for R1T and $72,000 for R1S, now base is $61,500 for R1T and $65,000 for R1S. As per this story, more and more outlets are believing this is due to the fact that built on the same assembly line will be the new Lincoln EV SUV that will have up to quad motors and as much as 800HP inline with what Rivian will also offer folks for their products. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/01/29/lincoln-ev-rivian-platform-announcement/ As expected, as a builder builds more models, prices are expected to drop just like this as a decent price drop and the mid range model is now $69,000 for R1T and $72,000 for R1S.
  20. Seems GM is finally delivering their new Nervous system by starting with the Cadillac 2021 Models of the CT4, CT5 and Escalade. Cannot wait for this to get spread throughout the whole GM portfolio with over air updates.
  21. Hello McFly, anyone home? The over the air updates is available on these new 2021 systems. GM new mega bandwidth system goes into all auto's starting with 2021 models and that will just like Tesla allow over the air updates. Current electrical / data systems are not able to handle over the air updates. Posted back in May 21st 2019 about their new Nervous system and how it would come out on the new generation of auto's. You need a big bandwidth to handle over the air updates. Tesla built this into their auto's from day one. GM has never had that kind of thinking till now with their new system. It has bigger bandwidth than Tesla and should work great on their ICE and EV auto's going forward.
  22. Thanks did not know these were renders, crazy busy day at work so popped in and out before my next meeting. Even then, when I posted those pics taken at the factory it is close enough to still be ugly and a failure IMHO. Thanks again for pointing out this is a rendering.
  23. Very cool tech of the Super Cruise system. Hating what I have seen of the new Escalade.
  24. As a Cadillac fan this is a FAILURE! Back end is a botched job of working to keep the much larger rear vertical tail lights of the current model while finding a way to go cheap on production to save money. Hate the cheap looking chrome accent strips across the back in the bumper and under the caddy badge. Sid is just Blah and nothing special. Hell the Arts and Science design on my 2006 is better looking than this. Pillars are far too identical to the Yukon and Tahoe. Front end, I do not even know where to begin with this ugly brick nose looking way to cheap like the current trailblazer. Could Cadillac do any more to DESTROY the Luxury Distinct look of the Escalade! FAILURE, FAILURE, FAILURE This is NO LUXURY looking SUV. ?
  25. @Cmicasa the Great Awesome Ride, Congratulations on getting what I BELIEVE to be the BEST Luxury Sedan on the road right now! I am sad the CT6 is out of production, but also excited for the EV replacement. GM has lots of cool stuff coming and excited for them to move on from traditional plastic ice blah auto's and back into standard of the world EVs.
