  1. Yes, RIP 747, you will be missed. The interesting part is that the Dreamlifter which is a stretch 747 with the second level all the way to the back to fit the Dreamliner plane, 787 fuselage inside will continue to be made to support the production of the 787 that almost meets the cargo capacity of the 747. I honestly think they could build and sell the Dreamlifter plans to cargo companies.
  2. Yes, it was the corvette reveal that they did not state the time zone for and had people upset.
  3. Screen Capture images from the video give us a better look at the Hummer by GMC. Very Exciting!!! Excited for the full size SUV.
  4. Cadillac division sent out this email saying that the Cadillac Lyriq reveal will be August 6th 2020 @ 7PM. Now the interesting part is what time zone? EST, MST, PST,.......... ?
  5. ? Ummmm do not get me wrong here, I totally agree with you that Hummers should be AWD with Crazy off road low end rock crawl capabilities, but this is GM we are talking about. I hate to admit it, but I could see the bean counters saying we can sell a 2wd version for the posers who will never take it off road but want a Denali package on it!
  6. Africa
  7. Crew Cab trucks with a bed truly make a very usable family auto for hauling around folks, plus being able to throw stuff into the bed that you would normally not want inside an SUV. I know I will once the EVs are out, be getting another truck as the wife really misses not having it when she goes to Home Depot for her gardening stuff.
  8. Anything you can do to address or fix the drain hole issue?
  9. Totally agree, Rivian uses allot of natural wood and recycled materials to make a luxury interior, gonna be interesting to see if GM equals the quality of a luxury interior or if they focus on the performance aspect only.
  10. I think the Global Pandemic will have a much bigger affect on auto sales globally as more and more companies figure out how to still be successful with a work force working from home. As such, I think we will see people hold off like you said globally for the next few years and this will also affect used auto sales. Just looking at Hertz bankruptcy and how hard it has been as their sales of auto's to reduce the size of their auto fleet has not moved well. Bigger picture is also evident in mass transit. Lite rail construction here is being pushed out over a longer time period, new bus purchases are being delayed. The mass transit support groups are sending out emails saying mass transit is threatened and needs more tax dollars from the public or else you will not have a way to get around easily without an auto. Weird, but in places like Seattle where you have all the tech workers working from home, I see no reason to spend billions on mass transit that will get little use now or in the future as companies that can, will move away from office work to remote employment. I then see EV sales picking up as those auto's come out with low maintenance, fuel at home, the benefits for a work from home workforce really do change the auto industry and I would not be surprised to never see auto sales hit the record they did in 2018 since 2019 was a reduction compared to 2018 if memory serves me correct.
  11. I can totally understand this, I have put on less than 400 miles in the first 6 months on the Escalade and only just over 800 on the SS. That gets a bit more as I shop for the senior parents and drop their groceries off at the door so out once a week for shopping, over to the other households and then home.
  12. Makes sense, right now Kia is selling every one they make be it in the asian rim or Europe and production of battery packs has not ramped up enough to meet the additional sale in the US. I also suspect they have realized that a mid size CUV EV would be a better product for the US than a compact.
  13. That is one of my interesting questions I have also. I suspect we will see these start in 2WD mode at Mid $70's and I would be willing to say the 3 motor 1,000 HP beasts will be over $100K. I like the over all back lit images they posted.
  14. I think at this point, many people who can work from home are deciding to hold off on buying ICE auto's awaiting the much lower maintenance and ease of charging from home selection of EVs that are coming. EV's ROCK!

  16. Very exciting to see this as I know I am very happy to work for Dell Technologies. Great to have my company be listed in the top 100 companies to work for in the world. https://www.fastcompany.com/90527870/best-workplaces-for-innovators-2020
  17. the latest instagram message shows more of the truck, a back lit image as well as the SUV Hummsr by GMC. Very excited to see the reveal this fall.

  19. Every Truck can break down, some just do it in splendid fashion more than others. Other just make me wonder how the hell did they get tabs for the dangerous auto to be on the road? I would for sure NOT buy a used truck from the east coast, midwest or Canada. The amount of salt on the frame makes me nervous of not if but when it will snap.
  20. I actually was able to close the door with no problem as there is plenty of room on the side of the chair for my leg.
  21. @ocnblu @ccap41 @Robert Hall @balthazar Might only be .4" taller, but the interior has way more space than the CX9 or Continental and YES, I can Actually fit in a Bolt. Wife hated the interior colors. From the 2016 auto show when I checked out and then wrote up about the Bolt. I could even squeeze into the back and be far more comfy than either the terrible CX9 or Continental. Interior dimensions of the Bolt are far bigger than many ICE auto's.
  22. WOW, this is scary! https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/35099/vintage-race-car-flips-mark-webber-style-in-massive-road-america-crash
  23. WOW, Guess if your rich there are no bounds to how one can be spoiled. Introducing the new EV go cart by Bugatti, the Bugatti Baby II. According to this article, Ettore Bugatti loved cars and loved his sons so much that when his 4 year old son asked for a car, he could not say no. So with his older son Jean, they built a half-scale electric replica of the famous Type 35 Bugatti racer. So desirable among the rich at the time, Bugatti went on to build 500 EV Type 35 racer carts from 1927 to 1936. Today Bugatti is going to build a 3/4 size EV of the Type 35 racer calling it the Bugatti Baby II. The Baby II is again aimed at the rich who spoil their kids. It will have 3 trim levels with the Bugatti Baby II base starting at $35,000 with a top speed of 42 miles per hour with a 15 mile range. There is programmed modes so you can limit power and speed. You can lock the auto into Novice mode or go all the way to expert mode. Middle trim level is called Vitesse and tops out at $50,500. Top trim level is Pur Sang and tops out at $68,000. Honestly, I could never understand a parent spending this kind of Coin on a kid who as the story says will probably crash it and leave it out in the rain. But then how a dollar bill is to most of us, I make the assumption that a $1,000 is like that to the rich 1% crowd. https://www.thedrive.com/news/35070/bugatti-baby-ii-is-the-68000-go-kart-your-kid-will-crash-and-leave-outside-in-the-rain
