Hot August (2020) days or nights of car spotting
G. David Felt replied to trinacriabob's topic in The Lounge
Do not remember when exactly, but last year when I renewed my drivers license and I requested an Enhanced, it was part of the stuff they reviewed about changed in state law that they went over with me. Thought it was interesting, but I always hear the WSP talk about safe foot wear when Driving does not mean you wear flip flops. Seattle will ticket you if you have them on when on a Motorcycle or Bike as they remind everyone that they are illegal when riding. Last 2 years been allot of talk about safe footwear, head gear, etc. -
While I could not get into the back of a CT5, I could with the chair all the way back and all the way down on the floor get into the front. My head did touch the roof, but I could get in and there was plenty of leg room.

Honestly Robert, they will change your life. I was shocked at how comfy they are and how better my legs and back felt when I started wearing them in the house. During winter time, feet are never cold wearing them. Better posture, over all better Health I believe. -

I have inserts in all my shoes and was prescribed orthopedic flip flops to wear in the house so that I have something solid on my arch's at all times. A bit pricy, but when done via insurance, these are amazing to wear around the house and even outside. I have two pairs, one for outside wear and one for inside wear. If you have ever had Plantar Fasciitis, these are the sandals for you. Even if you have never had foot issues, these are worth the money. Hyundai News:Hyundai Makes Ioniq Its Own Brand
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Hyundai
I will say if Hyundai delivers on their statements about concept auto's the fuel the passion of auto ownership, they will have homeruns that drive profits. I doubt I could fit in this, but I think those that want a sexy looking car would buy a Ioniq Prohecy 4 door sport sedan. It will also be interesting to see where Hyundai under the Ioniq brand takes their 45 concept CUV EV.- 18 replies

Dogs are good for getting that salt we leave behind. Doggy Massage with the tongue. Here in Washington, you cannot wear flip flops while driving a car, motorcycle or bike. Must have secure footwear. -
Excited to see that Super Sonic flight is coming back with very modern motors that are no more noisy than todays commercial engines on a DreamLiner. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/boom-is-ready-to-roll-out-its-first-supersonic-jet/vi-BB1808Yg?ocid=msedgntp All carbon fiber, these new plans are way more cool than what has been done in the past. So why am I talking about Super Sonic plans in a auto forum? Simple, this makes me wonder how soon someone will build a new modern supersonic car to go after and beat the world record held by this amazing baby!

Only problem I see with the no socks on sandals or shoes is the sweat from the feet make a very unpleasant smell. For me, the wife has stopped the crazy sock look by getting me booties. I have white, black and grey, so this way it tends to match my flip flops, sandals or shoes. -

No need to worry in the PNW, we are all a little weird and different. This is a very common style up here. There is no right or wrong, wear what is comfortable and you like. -

The first reviews of the Polestar 2 are out and while the reviewer says it clearly is aimed at Tesla, it still falls short. To me it is far nicer looking on the outside than a Tesla, the interior to me is better than the Tesla for a base version. Interior is true Scandinavian sparse, but nice. In black, I would have to say that many will just say it is another average car as it truly fits in and does not say EV till ya drive away in a very quiet car. You can read the guys full review at the link at the bottom. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1129250_first-drive-review-polestar-2-aims-at-tesla-and-comes-up-just-short

@ocnblu You will like this, a story on how after 250,000 miles the Diesel Minivan sold in Europe still rocks. $600, 250,000 mile, diesel, manual, Chrysler Voyager minivan https://jalopnik.com/a03318c5-a506-45b6-850f-b7039234dffe https://jalopnik.com/the-quirks-that-make-my-european-250-000-mile-diesel-ma-1844719494

Polestar the EV division of Volvo paid for this study and clearly state the testing methodology. Tesla 3 came in last according to this study. Funny read as it is so lop sided even with Audi being the best, most efficient depending on how one reads the data. https://jalopnik.com/tesla-model-3-ranked-last-for-highway-range-efficiency-1844728090

Despite COVID-19, PSA Group Still Planning A Return By 2023
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Peugeot
Choice that is what you have and I have one Requirement that you probably never have to deal with as the US average woman height is 5'6" and average man is 5'8" currently. As everyone knows, I am 6'6", my oldest sister is 6'2" average height across both sides of the family is 6'. As such setting the front drivers seat for my comfort and then getting out and getting in behind set drivers seat. If I cannot fit, then pretty much the whole family will not. As such, all auto's have to pass the seat test and here the Asian auto's FAIL. You can say cut the Bullshit, but the fact is most people are lazy about taking care of their auto's. I will not waste my time as most people that are big into the auto scene know that most auto buyers ignore cracking their owner manual or even looking at the owners maintenance schedule. Asian auto's did move to 100,000 mile tune ups way before America did and so pretty much, oil change, tires, brakes was it compared to American auto's that required much more to be done. Like I said nothing is perfect, but I have never scene people have bad experiences when they take care of a product to OEM requirements. That is where most humans fail at. Agree to disagree, but that is the difference I see every time I hear about people bitching about one brand or another. -
Interactive Review: 2020 Genesis G70 3.3T Sport
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Is the drivers seat as cramped as it looks in the pictures? How good is the interface to the manual controls? Does it have voice control?
