  1. Car fans will be happy with this as long as you do not want AA/CP. Two New GM Cars Coming To U.S. Based On A RWD Platform
  2. Tesla giving a Trillion dollars to Idiot Musk will not fix their sales problem or the fact that the stock is grossly overvalued. Tesla is DEAD EV driving, old tech, dinosaur in the marketplace.

  4. Yes, a dog cannot do that but then a dog does not spend so much time licking itself and coughing up furballs. Pass, Labs for the Win for me.
  5. Very cool to see his all woman team. Zohran Mamdani announces an all-female leadership team for his transition including former FTC Chair Lina Khan
  6. WOW, I have not seen any old iron like that in years around here. Pretty much rare to see old iron, just 50% EVs, 50% ICE trucks/SUVs
  7. Interesting read Why American workers are ‘coffee badging' their way through hybrid jobs
  8. I can honestly say that as a big guy, getting into Toyota Prius is hard as well as out as they sit so damn low. The Honda Civics are easier for me to get into and out of compared to the Prius on the road today. This will be interesting to see what the interior space is for this new prelude once it hits the lots.
  9. FYI - Anyone that says we are not heading into a bad recession if not full depression is drinking way too much MAGA Cool aid. US layoffs for October surge to two-decade high, Challenger data shows Appears ICE is using facial recognition software to determine if they should arrest you. ICE's use of smartphones to determine citizenship could trigger the next constitutional crisis This I would agree with would be a boon for everyone, but the auto industry especially. A ruling striking down Trump's tariffs would be like rocket fuel for stocks
  10. This is so cool, a real review of the G90 luxury car from Genesis. Cool technology.
  11. As one that was raised on support America first, the current incompetent leadership has changed that for ever for me. I will no longer worry about companies here that do not care about the consumer when others do a better job. Let the best products win and while my heart strings pull for some of the history of past models, the future is where it is and I will move. This place is building lovely new auto's Cannot go wrong with this baby! They are nailing it with their concepts and I hope they bring them to production.
  12. Well done review of GM and Mary is on the right track even though adjustments due to Idiot47 is needed, my only problem with GM is their lack of AA/CP support which their platform does support as proven by the excellent made Honda Prologue. GM needs to stop attempting to nickel and dime every buyer via their choices of what one can do via the play store and monthly payments to use the navigation system that was built into the auto. If a legacy will survive, I can see GM over Ford. Stellantis is dead to me as is the American name plates they own, never will buy another product from them.
  13. The Mercedes press release says there was still 85 miles of charge left after driving 749 miles on a single charge on a true "All Solid-State Battery" or ASSD Long-distance test successfully completed: EQS with solid-state battery covers 749 miles on a single charge
  14. @oldshurst442 You should be happy for a car option. 2026 Honda Prelude is getting good press for being a better, faster hybrid than Toyota has. 15. Ouch, this sucks, but at least it is a software update. Over 1 million Toyota cars recalled over camera issue. See impacted models.
  16. @Drew Dowdell @Robert Hall Here is the post of Drew buying the BMW at the auction. Post right below it is Roberts where you see everything for sale. OK, So did the cutting take root and you have it at your new house now?
  17. Yes, Drew bought one of the bikes. A number of interesting autos too you had posted in that thread.
  18. At 57 with grandkids, my days of motorbikes and scooters are over, I promised the wife I would not take risks at this stage in life. Like @A Horse With No Name living my best life with the kids and their families out hiking, skiing, seeing the world and being active.
  19. Very cool that next year is the first big return of Lease EVs so some very cheap options I think will hit the lot for those looking for a next to no maintenance commuter auto. https://news.dealershipguy.com/p/a-200-spike-in-off-lease-ev-supply-is-nearing-here-s-how-dealers-are-preparing-2025-11-04 Making EVs takes big energy, but after 2 years, they’re cleaner than gas-fueled cars, study finds | AP News
  20. Very interesting tech of the all new Hybrid system that will go into all Honda's for the 2026 model year moving forward. The cool part is they also cover their updated AWD pure EV powertrain and how it will have torque vectoring to make it one of the safest around. Evolution of the e:HEV Powertrain|Honda Technology|Honda Global For those interested in the Motorcycle side, here is their newest system. 21. I get the need for rebuilding reefs, but why not recycle this ship and use better environmental materials to build the reef. This just seems like a lazy way of getting rid of a ship.
  22. Very cool read that some here will find exciting, EV bringing back the excitement of RWD driving. EVs Are Ushering in the Return of Rear-Wheel Drive, and Here's Why
  23. @Drew Dowdell Thank you for all you do and for letting a bit of RAGE happen as sadly, you nailed it that politics is intertwined with the auto industry due to various view points. @ccap41 @A Horse With No Name @surreal1272 @Robert Hall @trinacriabob @oldshurst442 I think we all would agree that life has been changed by those of the 1% focusing on themselves rather than society. Yes, we have had a fair share of political posting and rage, yet we all do still love auto's in one way or another. In this regards, we all have our favorite auto area and due to inflation costs as well as the 1% pushing prices on old iron up to levels that I would say we all here cannot afford, we have to look at other ways to enjoy life. Yet, the passion for self transportation is still there be it biking, walking or driving and I hope that we can still find that passion to have interesting conversations on the auto industry. Right now, my own job has been extremely busy so that I have not had much time to write for this site, but I do hope to increase in the coming months as things wind down before I get crazy with tradeshow season in January. Expect to see some stories based on the release of new auto's from the LA autoshow. I am excited for some of the releases and that even includes the new Kia Telluride that is expected to be Hybrid and look very much like an EV9. This brings up my own wondering if Kia might retire the EV lineup and with their new Platform that supposedly supports ICE/Hybrid/EV having a Telluride cover all three areas rather than an EV line and an ICE/Hybrid line. LA Autoshow is coming soon. Happy Hump day to all! 🐫 Very interesting read on Regenerative braking. Does Regenerative Braking Wear Down Brake Pads Or Save Them?
  24. BMI is still based on the first original thinking back in the 1920's and has FAILED society in not taking into account the changes in eating but also diet of how kids grow up. What we ate in the 1920's is very different than what is being eaten today. People are not only fatter, but taller, thicker bone density due to better access to dairy, muscle mass, etc. When my wife met me in 1991, I was 10% body fat, 305lbs of body building muscle and yet based on my 6'6" tall frame, I was considered by BMI to be obese. My own doctor said that the BMI also does not take into account athletes who will have a very different body fat to muscle mass and as such is a failure of old science since they have not updated it. Today, BMI needs to have a variety of charts based on age, activity, muscle mass to fat ratio that the current chart does not take into account. BMI is a failure in regard to how healthy a person is if you do not look at the full picture of what the person does.
  25. Man this video story shows just how many stupid americans are out on the roads and NOT able to drive. Highway Disaster Driver Cuts Off Semi Truck | Watch Tariff Turd47 actually thinks we are more respected now than at any other time in the history of our country. What a moron. Donald Trump issues Supreme Court warning before tariffs hearing Poor leadership and foot dragging by Stellantis for Ram, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler leads to death of an innovative startup that would have helped it with EV technology. I see Stellantis even farther behind than at the start of this year and do not see it surviving in its current form. Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep partner files Chapter 7 bankruptcy Partner company is dead, but the technology should live on under some other brand that buys the tech.
