  1. Asian rim seems to run 40 years behind the US in that regards as only the last decade has Japan and China also gotten into body building big time. Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan need to work on those chests. Way to flat man.
  2. Seems break throughs are happening for more conductive copper which would allow more efficient electric motors and make them more powerful. Charged EVs | More conductive copper could increase motor efficiency - Charged EVs Seems VW ID4 CUV got it's EPA certified rating for the EV at 250 miles of range. Quote: The ID 4 is the first VW ID model to be sold in the US and is powered by a single rear-axle motor that produces 201 horsepower and 228 pound-feet of torque. The ID 4 will be available later in 2021 with a dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup and a different maximum estimated range. Volkswagen ID 4 has 250-mile range estimate certified by the EPA - Roadshow (cnet.com) Seems EV is bringing back RWD to VW.
  3. @A Horse With No Name Amazing how crazy Koreans have gone for Body Building which was huge in the 70's and 80's here. Men and Woman, everyone wants that perfect body. I follow HYO_1013 or hyonybee on Instagram. She used to work for Dell as a sales rep, left and became 3 years ago a top competitor in Female Body Building in Korea. What are the most daring photos of South Korean fashion model Hyony Kim? - Quora One of her latest Photo Shoots. Do not like the hair color change, but excellent photo spread of her. 4. I like that what they have learned about creating a vaccine with this Virus and using the mRMA process can be applied to better vaccines down the road and even updating existing vaccines.
  5. But ya still cannot beat a 10 second Pontiac Powered Pacer! We could also do Gremlin Wheelie Drag Racing.
  6. Thanks for Posting, have a project deadline, so did not have time to dig into this and will not till after Dec 12th to see how this lines up with Washington and Oregon, course we sell a ton of surplus electricity to California. Like all things, building and adding capacity will come as the industry moves to EV's and the electricity providers become the new oil barons. With the amount of open space not being used, Texas is building solar farms fast and adding capacity at a very large growing rate. They just brought online Upton 2 Solar Farm, a 212 plus MegaWatt production facility and they approved a new 1,310 megawatt facility that just broke ground and will be fully functional starting in 2022 with more solar farms to come. California is adding Wind, Solar and Tide power generation, I believe that the states that embrace EV adoption also realize the need to add power and make the grid redundant. Just as they are expanding and building redundancy here in Washington state, I would expect other states to do the same investing in the future, creating jobs, etc. As Balthazar has stated, change will take time and time is on the side of change as the states adapt and build out.
  7. Saw an update on Bloomberg this morning that Nissan is moving forward with tying up with Hercules EV pickup as I posted above in the list of EV pickups. Nissan seems to want to move this forward asap.
  8. Amazing all the EV Pickup trucks that have been announced for production. Be very interesting to see which ones actually make it to market. I am expecting that 50% will never actually see production and as the Heritage OEM builders start to deliver their trucks, it will reduce this down to maybe just Tesla and Rivian being the new kids on the block that survive along with Lordstown as a special Niche builder since they are focusing on Commercial use / Governments. Hummer by GMC Ford F-150 EV Pickup Lordstown Endurance EV Pickup Rivian R1T ev pickup Havelaar Bison EV Pickup Neuron EV Pickup Atlas EV Pickup Workhorse EV Pickup Tesla Cyber Truck EV Pickup Nissan / Hercules EV Pickup Bollinger EV Pickup Nikola Hydrogen/EV Pickup
  9. Cyber truck reminds me of the DeLorean, 1 and done for sure. I would expect a much more normal truck that that POS that supposedly had non-breakable glass, oops, it broke. Rear seats sitting in a hole, So many things wrong with that truck.
  10. If the east coast did not destroy the environment with so much SALT, they would not have all rusted out. Guess that is another reason they lasted so long on the west coast is we use environmentally sound chemicals on snow and iced roads and not salt. I had no rust problems as did my dad with our 1976 Chevy Luv Series 5 pickup. I honestly think how you care for something shows how long it lasts. Yes, I know Japanese, Korean and Chinese have all built crap products too just like American auto companies, but I think anything can last if properly cared and cleaned. Sadly, cleaning of auto's based on my times living and working there is not a thing that is done often on the east coast.
  11. Thank you for explaining the big problem, FAKEBOOK, amazing how many people think what is posted there is actual news and intelligence. Hard Pass on that piece of crap social network failure.
  12. Yup another Chevy failure in Style, but awesome EV power train. That Chevy is why I will make a decision between Rivian or Hummer. Way better looking trucks and SUVs.
  13. Like everyone, no one is bad, just the power hungry idiots that have no brains and destroy working with others all in the focus of personal power, control and stupidity. Chinese are just as nice of people as Korean, Japanese, French, German, Russian, US, etc.
  14. Old brand new, CT5 Sport, TTV6, red rims from the factory. Shocking. Will have to say, while not a fan of the 2021 Escalade as the front end says Chevrolet to me, the interior is freaking awesome as is the quality of leather and large LCD dash screen. Was surprised that a basic Escalade ESV Sport edition was $103,959 with destination charge.
  15. Just think, use of Solar, Wind, Geothermal, tidal and hydro to replace all coal and EVs to replace all oil needs, we can then pretty much just support the US needs just fine with oil for other plastics and stuff as has been pointed out by @balthazar and have cleaner air and beaches.
  16. So sad someone let it sit and rust like that. Good thing it found a new home.
  17. For those that want a truly beefy off road SUV, but green, then the Ineos Grenadier 4x4 is for you and yes it only comes with black steel rims and is powered by Hydrogen. This comes due to a tie up between Hyundai Nexo technology and Ineos who is building this 4x4 for the UK and European market. The producer of Hydrogen is the Ineos Chemical Company that produces 300,000 tons of Hydrogen per year as a byproduct of chemical manufacturing operations and has a large amount of experience in storing and transporting Hydrogen. They have recently started a new division tasked with building out a Hydrogen station business across the UK and Europe. Hyundai, Ineos join forces to produce hydrogen | Autoblog
  18. First review of the all new XC40 Recharge, have to say it is looking good. Preview drive: 2021 Volvo XC40 Recharge electric SUV doesn’t complicate the future (greencarreports.com) Frunks are the new standard for EVs now. Very cool, I can only imagine on a Suburban how big the Frunk would be. Crazy to watch, an auto dash cam caught the roof coming off a Tesla Model S in China. Tesla blames the 3rd party company that is authorized for replacement glass roofs. I say just cheap quality work. Tesla Model S roof seen flying off in dashcam video, Tesla blames third-party shop - Electrek
  19. I do find it interesting that the 2yr development cycle is what GM now believes they can do for all EVs and will speed up new models faster and more reliable than ICE. GMC Hummer Electric Truck | General Motors Gonna be interesting times for sure on how fast GM can bring in as they have now committed to having affordable EVs for all at all price points over the next 5 years. 2022-Hummer-EV---Meet-the-Team.mp4
  20. After a life time of power lifting and body building, I stick to what Arnold Schwarzenegger always said, pain tells ya your alive and as long as it is tolerable, you know your not 6ft under. I figure, life is pain, pain is life, as long as I have loved ones around, a job I enjoy and can ski, life is good for me. Back on topic of the new ZETA group, I suspect FORD F-150 EV will destroy the other truck sales as FORD is planning to offer all the same bed and cab configurations. At that point with more Torque and hauling than an ICE, more traditional truck buyers will move over to the EV. I also see this happening with GM and their Chevrolet Silverado EV truck line.
  21. I have never been a fan of steel or aluminum steel rims. To me it just looks cheap and as if they forgot to finish the look of the auto. Hard Pass on steel rims.
  22. I am interested in hearing how the Hybrids they are starting to produce handle the trails, mud and water of the wilds.
