  1. Crazy but seems underground bunkers are all the rage again thank you to UK.
  2. Surprised the suspension handles the weight of that Bull.
  3. Cougars, Thunderbirds and Mustangs all have great history, excited to see where it goes in the EV generation.
  4. Yes it does and they are very proud of the feature. See how Google Pixel’s voice-to-text is better than the iPhone’s - Android Community
  5. Kicking off the month, went to Birch Bay for the holiday weekend. Saw some amazing autos including my first VW ID van. They are so cool ?. Saw a wide variety of restored mustangs, to old model T ford's. Saw this old.van, think it is a Chevrolet but not 100% sure.
  6. Based on your view above, Mercedes should kill off all ICE now and just rely on EVs since they are the best. VinFast is snake oil and has proven nothing yet, over valued by poker playing idiots on wallstreet. Your missing the point on blue chip, long life stocks and investing clearly you do not understand except for worth more, so better company. ?
  7. Since the founding father of Costco had to retire due to dementia, this CEO the family hired has a golden parachute and contract for payment based on performance and profits. He has slowly done away with those few items that cost money to Costco to increase the profits for his own personal gain. I am not a fan of this new CEO who is too focused on his own pocket book over the few perks the Original CEO felt was a proper give back to the members. Gonna be keeping an eye on him as my wife and I have found bulk items equal to costco to be cheaper at Fred Meyers here in Washington. Costco is slipping is what they used to deliver to club members and some crazy changes in how they check membershps, etc. Just cause my wife is Korean, she is not borrowing my membership when she has her own and I hate this new approach to targeting folks that are not white. Yes, I have issues with Costco right now due to the CEO making changes that are not viewed as very customer friendly.
  8. yes decent phone, tech folks tend to like it as it allows personal customization very easily. ymmv
  9. Very cool, looks like the USA will become a major Lithium producer. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/american-battery-technology-company-confirms-presence-of-lithium-at-depths-greater-than-1-400-feet-at-tonopah-flats-lithium-project-301912498.html
  10. Seems there is a limited edition Cadillac V watches. Pretty sweet looking. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2023/08/check-out-the-limited-edition-cadillac-v-series-classic-chrono-watch/
  11. I could not believe anything on this new refreshed Tesla 3, especially the driving range. New Tesla Model 3 Debuts: Chiseled Design, 421-Mile Estimated Range (insideevs.com) Tesla has a ton to do to earn trust on their actual facts about their EVs.
  12. Seems it was settled for $200 million to the states and undetermined at this time software/hardware updates. Hyundai, Kia agree to $200 million settlement with customers over car thefts (nbcnews.com) Now I see a judge has declined the settlement as it is unfair to the owners of the autos. Judge Declines to Approve Hyundai/Kia Class Action Settlement, Noting Weak Proposed Remedies (usnews.com) Major OUCH: QUOTE - letter, the attorneys general of six states and the District of Columbia urged Judge Selna to require automakers to install antitheft technology known as engine immobilizers in all theft-prone Hyundai and Kia vehicles, possibly in combination with a vehicle buyback program, in place of the update and cash payments.
  13. Just as GM is ramping up Battery production to support more models of EVs on various brands. Every other OEM is also investing in battery plants to increase EV production. Hyundai just signed an expansion agreement with LG Energy Solutions to expand battery production to allow for 300,000 more EVs a year to be built in this country by the end of this year for 2024. This has since 2018 per Hyundai brought 30,000 new jobs to Georgia. Clearly this kind of investment and production will allow competition against everyone from Tesla to Cadillac as these batteries will go into Genesis as well. Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solution to Invest Additional $2B in Bryan County - Hyundai Newsroom
  14. End result is Musk and Tesla have delivered a fraction of all they blow about. Semi Trucks, Roadster 2.0, Cheap Tesla 3, Cybertruck, etc. What is interesting is that Musk has stated that Mexico could produce a cheaper Tesla model, but no defined model has been set for the plant yet. Tesla 3 & Y are on the same platform and with that, they are having issues still in regards to Quality. Just like they never have had a true self driving mode, but a driving mode they sold as self driving that has killed people. Tesla could be in big trouble come 2025/2026 as battery cell production for many OEMs comes online and new EVs come out. Heck after only a couple years Hyundai is already refreshing their EVs. Tesla is still on Stale Models and the heavy discounts tells a story that they are hurting for sales.
  15. I find some of the autos on the most stolen crazy and yet they are there due to the thefts. Glad none of my autos are on the list.
  16. I would give GM a better chance of selling a $20K mass produced EV to the masses before Tesla does if Tesla does at all. They still owe many who gave them a free loan with the crazy reservation price a 2.0 roadster. Plenty of commercial companies reserved Semi trucks and still do not have them. Quality is a joke and other than hard core Tesla Kool-Aid drinking fans, the Cybertruck is dead on delivery. Tesla has a dated looking 4 auto portfolio and clearly needs some style updates on top of their quality has much to be desired.
  17. Missed the whole Burt Reynolds thing, thought it was about the TransAm / Firebird. No smugness my friend intended.
  18. Same here, while I would like a new auto, my 2006 Escalade and 2008 SS are running fine. I might get a new head unit in the Escalade as the wife has been saying that when she drives it, she misses plugging in her phone and having it all on the screen like the SS she normally drives. Thinking of the Kenwood Excelon Reference head unit. DMX1037S | Navigation and Multimedia | Car Audio | Car Entertainment | KENWOOD USA
  19. I disagree with you on the Tesla cheap EV over Chevrolet Bolt. The Bolt is selling well and people love it. With GM getting lower cost EVs out onto the market this year as they ramp up production, I expect GM will make bank on their EV business unlike others. So according to the news out of China based on folks out of China Tesla Plant, Mexico will be ready to install production gear Q1 2025 and testing so your looking at Q1 2026 for production of EVs out of Mexico. Later, exclusive丨Tesla's Mexico plan: start production in the first quarter of 2025, and reengineer the Shanghai plant in China's supply chain (latepost.com)Later, exclusive丨Tesla's Mexico plan: start production in the first quarter of 2025, and reengineer the Shanghai plant in China's supply chain (latepost.com) As far as Tesla building in India and offering low cost EVs, seems the price of a tesla is double that of local Indian Auto companies and Chinese that are already importing EVs into India even with an importation tax of 100%, the Chinese EVs are still cheaper than Tesla, this will limit Tesla sales with a cheap auto that is double the price of all over equal EVs. Tesla looking to make about half million EVs annually in India, Times of India reports | Reuters
  20. Where is the EV Firebird?
  21. I get it but as I have posted with the ATP of trucks, it is hard to say that the Mach-e, Tesla Y or 3 or even the Chevrolet Blazer SS are excessive in price. I honestly hope that the auto companies realize that loaded entry level EVs are still needed. I can so see a NEW MUSCLE CAR ERA coming with what Dodge is doing, Ford and GM have rumors about doing. So I can see a new EV Muscle Car ERA coming. Unless you really need to replace an auto, I hate to say it but I would tell anyone asking me to hold off as with Solid State batteries expecting to become standard in EVs by 2025, I expect a major tech advancement in EVs that make todays EVs while they are good, about to go old like a Horse and Buggy.
  22. Wife asked me to run her to Kohl's for Amazon returns. Just noticed that Kohl's has 2 generic DC chargers from where I am parked. Then next door no more than 50 feet away at Target is a 6 stall DC fast charging station with a Hyundai Ioniq. Leaving my neighborhood the guy who does auto detailing had this lovely 1934 Cadillac.
  23. @oldshurst442 @ccap41 @trinacriabob @NINETY EIGHT REGENCY knowing you guys love your cars thought you would like this press release as this Alfa is back as an EV and ICE. Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale: daring to dream | Alfa Romeo | Stellantis There is a good story here with comparison of the new version to the original. New Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale: Stunning Flagship Pays Tribute To Alfa’s Original Supercar | Carscoops Have to be honest that this is the only Alfa I have ever liked when I was a kid and have to say they NAILED it in a Modern 21st Century version above.
