What a sweet Truck!!

Damn what is up with GM and all this god awful Chrome crap! Ugly Rims and Chrome $h! everywere. I loved the old escalade and now all GM can do is turn everything into PIMP my Ass ride! If Lutz was really in charge, he would never have allowed Caddy to Chrome to hell the new escalade. A up scale luxury ride is elegant and stated, you leave it to the end user if they want to put a ton of chrome on a ride not pimp it out and now they are doing it at SEMA. Not every person wants to drive a Chromed, pimp out gangsta rapper crap mobile.

Man, they screw up the Suburban with not allowing the seats to fold into the floor so you have your solid 4 x 8 area for hauling and camping etc. Now they have someone do a stupid thing like this and with an even larger ugly bump on the roof. Yea I know most people seem to be crazy about baseball. Who cares I could care less for the over paid ego jocks. Talk about another waste of a vehicle on a stupid idea.

Sweet work Truck, This should be a requirement for all GM dealerships!
-
YEA Baby, this is HOT! This is what I expected the first time Chevy rolled out this truck, a In your face version of it. Build it and they will come!
-
nice, While too low for my taste, the center exhaust is great and over all I like the look. Just give it a proper ride level for a sedan, not the drag your ass look.

That Rocks! This would be great on the H3 as well as any other underpowered vehicle. Wonder if they still require Super or have they gotten it to run on mid or standard unleaded. This sounds like it could really thump the turbo's.

I would buy this, this is a hate or love interior and so much better than BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Acura, Infinity or even Lincoln. It is about time that some one took some risk and stepped up to give a interior that is more than the basic bland copy everyone attitude.

Saw the new Silverado and test drove it.

The GMC is HOT. That truck is so much better looking than the Chevy. Course both are big improvements over the last platform. -
Sketch Competition #10 - GM Supercar
G. David Felt replied to Flybrian's topic in Sketch Competitions
This Rocks, It reminds me of the Speed Racer car. I loved that car. Can I order it up with the saw blades please! Great Job, this would be a great supercar for Chevy. Nice Job on the Pontiac also. -
That actually ROCKS!!! Yea in standard cloths it is FUGGLY!!! But this Rally with the VW Diesel and 43MPG would be a HIT here in the US!!! JEEP WAKE THE F@#K UP!!!, This is what you should be selling not the current FUGGLY version.

So your saying this was one of the early Proto type Blue Devil equals that GM had messed around with and never brought to market?

While he is concerned about people changing the exhaust and making the vehicle illegal to Gov code, I actually think everyone is wrong about the flared exhaust pipe. After looking at every picture I could find on these trucks and even the top one above, I believe it is shadows that are causing the trick you see as a flared exhaust. I actually think it is a solid 4" or maybe 5" exhaust pipe. These are not flared. IMO

Has anyone really driven let alone looked at the Dodge Caliber? My sister inlaw liked the look and I took her to check it out and test drive the auto. The inside quality was really bad, there was a whine with the vehicle loaded with 4 adults and the CVT sounded like it would die. Not to mention that someone had been in the vehicle with greasy shoes and dirty hands as there were hand prints on the ceiling. Dealer said they would clean it up, but BS if you do not have pride in the auto's you sell how can you let a vehicle look so bad when you try to sell it. I do not see the quality in the Caliber that was in the Neon. Dealers seem to be willing to just sell and not care. Sad for Chrysler.

Backup cams are only good when you are in the city or tight spaces WITH OUT a trailer. Otherwise, the mirrors are it.

These ROCK!!! I LOVE the DUALLY!!!

This car rocks, I take this in Black with the Diesel engine please!

Funny I just saw a commercial last night here in Seattle about Fords having more trucks with over 250,000 miles than any builder in the US. They show a very old ford truck from the 40's or 50's I think that this guy restores for his father. Over all not an impressive commercial. I do love the Our Country, Our Truck tag line. This and the Built like a Rock are great lines about GM's trucks. Kinda why I own multiple GMC's.

WOW! New real-world pics of the Outlook!

Where exactly on the drivers side does it not match up? It looks all level and matched up to me. -
Last Spring while I was in Copenhagen for a tradeshow, I had bought for my wife a CTS and the dealership delivered it to her work. They pick it up and service it and return it. The Caddy Dealerships or more specifically, SandBurg Caddilac in North Seattle on Highway 99 does this as normal service and have always done this to take care of their customers. Another reason I stick with GM

Personally while this is a great engine, it would seem based on the Horsepower and Torque that GM is just keeping status quo instead of leading the way with a Class Leading Engine. Unless they Plan to take this engine to over 300 Horsepower and 300lb Torque for the CTS. That would be class leading. But only a short time as I imagen we will need to go to 350/350 or better.

I will take a V Series Escalade. That would rock as it is perfect for us big guys that want performance but in an Auto we are comfortable in. I bought my parents an SRX and they love it, yet while it is a Great Auto, Many people love the front end look, the blocky back end has not been well received. many people say it is too station wagon on steriods for them. I have had two coworkers who ended up getting the FX45 as they did not like anything else out there. They did test the SRX but the back end was too blocky for them and ugly. To each their own. The SRX is a great vehicle but needs the updated interior the CTS is getting and a bit of change in the back end. IMO

IMO this is an ugly auto. Just got back from Frankfurt and did not really see anything that got me excited except a raised Chevy Dually truck that a lady drove down the road by my hotel. I figure probably from the military. But this just does nothing for me. Plus why does everyone feel we need an Opel rebadge here to win sales and market share. The current GM offerings are working and seems to be going in the right direction.

Drive a Dodge Caliber and you would change your mind. Worst Idea ever. My wife and sister in law was not impressed. Even my sister who drove one as she liked the look was not impressed with the RT. She ended up getting a Mazda 6 only to regret it and now wishes she had the CTS like me! Over All just like the computer industry, those that put 8 speeds out will find lots of sales and leadership. Does not matter that it might not have a valid case for it. Yes allot of Torque and 6 speed is plenty, but the marketing message you can have with an 8 speed will outsell everyone and making money is what this is all about. GM Must build and sell the 8 speed in Caddilac, Buick and the Vette. This is the right thing to do. Plus it GM needs to show this kind of leadership as it will truly bring in sales now and down the road.

Man I feel sorry for you, IMO it is stupid to tax based on engine displacement. Tax on the value not the size of the engine. If you can afford the more expensive auto, you should get to enjoy the engine. After all you already can afford the auto and the insurance and maintenance and what would be the gas bill to go with the engine.
