WOW, I actually like it!!! Course what would be a comment without discussing the marketing and sales of a vehicle like this. "Muslims Unit" You can now send your Bombers in Luxury to Meet Allaha and get their 72 Virgins in style with the New Nuclear Fueled Cadillac. Support America, Buy America and Blow them up. All this and more for a low low price of $1,000,000 per car upfront, this includes a $7000 instant rebate from GM.

GM Will Build Volt Battery Packs with LG Chem in Michigan
G. David Felt replied to Intrepidation's topic in General Motors
SWEET!!!! This is a positive note for the US, we keep production here, grow our own engineers and show the world that not only did we start this automotive business based on FORD, but we can build the new technology and build it better and go to the next level. I am very excited by this anouncement. :sign0200: -
Can you please post these pictures if you still have them, I would love to see them. Or email me at [email protected] Thanks,

Personally, I do not see any reason for Chrysler as a independant company to survive. Sell the Truck division to a company that wants to get into the full size market. Sell Jeep to GM and merge the technology of Hummer into Jeep. As much as I love the 300, Charger and Challanger, the rest of the products really could go away and would not be missed. Over all the Auto Industry is over built and needs a solid consolidation.
-
So Zl-1 then you would agree that the 1.5 Trillion dollars spent on the financial industry with no strings attached should not have been paid out either. I personally was against bailing out these financial companies that created this mess. Especially with no accountability and here they have now paid out billions in bonuses to upper mgmt who have used this money to buy other companies and not get capital flowing for small to large businesses. Rich getting Richer and poor getting poorer and people say that loans backed by assets should not be done to the Auto industry but give billions to financial companies that caused this mess. So much for the Idiot Conservatives that want deregulation. This is what it gets you, careless creation of bad business and the tax payers bailing them out to keep them in place. Pure Capitalism does not work, neither does Socialism or any other form of control. It will always need to be a balance and some oversight to keep the extreme rich from destroying the world and workers.

I have seen no backlash against asian or European auto makers. In regards to the 1.5 Trillion given to the banks with no oversite and no responsibility control. Why we can flush this money down the drain with no payback compared to a paltery 34Billion loan backed by assets is beyond me. Shows just how stupid the GOP senators really are. Get religion and narrrow thinking out of Politics. History has shown us that any time religion gets involved in politics everyone looses.

I am very glad you and your GF are OK and not hurt worse. These kinds of accidents are why I will never give up my full size SUV and defensive driving. I at least have some steal and size around me and my family and friends. You cannot replace quality of life with econo box auto and saving gas. -

BOTH PARTIES SUCK!!!, Screw the Unions they never did anything good in the last 30 Years except take hardworking peoples money and be corrupt. They are past the days of doing good, but keep these companies and people working. -
Thank you for posting pictures of the Regal, I have to say that it does not inspire me at all, the exterior is Jelly Bean style boring and the interior is not much better.
-
WOW How bland and boring can you get for a luxury car.
-
And you can hear the Auto Rag sheets now, Get a updated Grandpa Mobile in the New Buick Regal. I know there are those that love Buick just like I love my cadillac Escalade, but that name really does bring back Seniors driving non inspiring auto's. I do not see it really getting younger famlies excited. Does anyone have a photo of what this auto looks like? Guess will go and google it to see what it currently looks like in China.

This is so true as to why we MUST Support our American Companies.

As american as I can get.

U.A.W. Makes Concessions in Bid to Help Automakers
G. David Felt replied to ellives's topic in General Motors
I so agree with your comment, we have now given out 1.5 trillion for free to the leaches in the financial circle that supported Shrub boy and his pet Dick who we all know is the real handler. How people can B*&ch about a LOAN to the auto companies when the tax payers are paying 1.5 Trillion with no accountability from the banks and financial companies is beyond me. Interesting that Shrub starts his presidency with 200 Million in a so called Blind Trust and it is now worth almot 2 Billion. Dick has 4 billion in a blind trust and it is now worth almost 10 Billion and his company Haliburton moves their head quarters to an Arab country so they do not have to pay US tax's on all those special contracts they got for Iraq. Billions and Billions of tax dollars gone that right fully should be paid back to USA. Make Shrub Boy and his Pet Dick pay their illgotten gains back to this country. He can afford to live on this life long $250,000 a year he will continue to get and all those private security people that the Tax payers will still be paying for. Such a pathetic Gold Parachute this sorry excuse for a President gets. -
SNL Totally rips domestic auto industry
G. David Felt replied to BrewSwillis's topic in General Motors
Sadly, more and more people do not use their Brains and take this as fact. Living in Seattle I have found too many idiots here believe what is on the late night TV. I was born and raised here and it is sad to see how many idiots seem to live here now. Satty, Those of us bitching are the ones who care enough about the company and the people who work for the company irregardless of the stupid decisions we all know both the Mgmt and UAW have made. While I know not everyone takes pride in their work, I for one do and take insult from them saying todays auto's are Junk. I was born and raised in Seattle, the portal to the Asian rim. I am a proud Independant Liberal who loves American Auto's and only buy's American Auto's. Proof: 2006 Hummer H2, 2006 Escalade ESV Platinum, 2005 CTS, 2004 SRX, 1994 GMC Suburban. Not all west or east coast people hate America, you will find many of us are very supportive of our Great Country. Just time to dump the Political Pigs including the destructive current administration. -
GM Studies Killing Saab, Saturn, Pontiac
G. David Felt replied to Oracle of Delphi's topic in General Motors
Personally the dollars are already spent for the Camero, so you might as well let it go to market and sell what you can, if after the initial couple years of solid sales which help to recoupe the cost of the auto and it shows that it cannot live on it's own then you kill it again. Pontiac is dead and no need to waste marketing dollars on another me too car for them. Possible as a luxury mid level performance auto for the GMC - Buick mid level line. -
GM Studies Killing Saab, Saturn, Pontiac
G. David Felt replied to Oracle of Delphi's topic in General Motors
I believe everyone here is in agreement that we need to save GM, GM needs to focus on a 3 tier sales model. Entry - Cheverolet Mid Market - GMC - Buick Luxury - Cadillac. I feel this is a good plan posted by QUOTE (cmattson @ Dec 2 2008, 02:34 PM) Product plans: 1. Completely kill Pontiac G3/G5/G6 2. Pontiac G8 becomes a Buick Regal (bonus: V8 trim revives "Grand National" designation). This ultimately kills the Buick Lucerne. 3. Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky gets an upgraded interior and is reborn as a "Buick Wildcat" 4. Chinese built sedan becomes Buick Invicta, killing existing Buick LaCrosse/Pontiac G6/Saturn Aura. 5. Buick Enclave/Saturn Outlook just goes away; lets sales go to the more popular GMC Acadia nameplate. 6. Next-gen Opel Astra is brought over as a Buick Astra. Buick would then: Astra, Invicta, Regal, Wildcat GMC would have: Terrain (Vue/Equinox clone), Sierra, Yukon/Yukon XL, Acadia That would be a more-than-well rounded lineup of competive vehicles under the Buick/GMC dealership sign! Yes this means the death of my beloved hummer, saab, saturn and Pontiac. People want a reason to work hard and step up the ladder of success by buying a higher end luxury vehicle, but they need a clear road map. As much as I hate Toyota, they have a clear road map, they started the ugly Scion entry level model cars. They have the mid level as Toyota and luxury as Lexus. Clear steps to the top. GM Needs to Clean house to get into a successful 3 step approach and streamline marketing and options to maximize profits. Yes they have talked about doing tons of stuff to save every name plate but in a global world, you have to Maximize profits by reducing costs and this world Economy does not suport 7, 8 or even 9 name brands under one roof. Clean up and streamline to achieve profitability and success. The GM of old over reached thinking size and name plate alone would mean success, but we all have seen that it does not. I wish the best to GM. -
Still no reason not to carry on a Fun Play Time Activity with that special someone.
