  1. Weekend Visit to Spokane Washington to check out the 63 split window Corvette Fuelie. So Sad so bad, this thing had been trashed and the frame is so rusted out it is not even worth saving in my opinion. Unless you really want that body, the rest is ready to be melted down. Morons Son is actually trying to sell it and thinks it is worth 40K, I suggested maybe 400 for the body, but the rest is history. Did see a really sweet Model T on the drive back that someone had on a trailer.
  2. I for one being a very strong GM supporter have looked long and hard at both options. On the Chapter 11 side, it would be nice to dump a ton of baggage including the UAW and start over with just 3 name plates for entry (Chevy), Middle Level (GMCBP) and Luxury (Cadillac). Yet could the company really survive world wide? That is a big question. On the loan side, I think with the proper business plan, clearing out a ton of middle mgmt and over the hill executives, GM could turn the ship and actually move inthe right direction, protecting their SUV / Truck business at the same time of building up an expanded exceptional line of high milage and hybrid auto's. The big question is will the Gov look long term and loan GM the money with the conditions of dumping the fat middle layer mgmt and even some of the out of touch executives to give the company a surviving chance?
  3. I have almost 300,000 miles on my 1994 GMC suburban, but I drive it about 30,000 miles every year. Solid as a Rock and not a piece of Toy $h! that cannot handle real world camping, off roading etc. Anyone who says american build lousy Auto's are the ones that are lazy cause they would never do the 30K tune ups and maintenance that allows these vehicles to last just about for ever. Rock on XP715 and welcome to the 250K + club of the best SUV's on the road.
  4. Amazing at the price and sad at the run down homes and what I would assume was a Hells Night during Halloween and left empty homes burning. The city really should just send in the bulldozers and bill the property owners which is probably the banks thinking they have a million dollar home but have not checked it in 10 years to realize it is nothing.
  5. If we see no economic up tick at all this year, then this depression we are in will be truly bigger than our first one and you are correct even Toyota will end up being hurt by this. It is going to be interesting as we will probably see a whole new model of auto companies. Maybe one or two that have been financially conservative to not over extend themselves will survive as is, but I think all companies are going to be changed no matter what.
  6. Good Luck, sounds like you have a nice choice at least. Very rare in todays economy. Hopefully it all is still there.
  7. ------------------- Very Possibly correct.
  8. Hellboy
  9. This sounds like a good night time soap opera Is all I would have to say on that one.
  10. Totally Agree with you here. OPEL
  11. :rotflmao: You made my day, There does seem to be a large amount of C&G here in seattle area, but for me, it is all about the hot woman! Nothing like an asian jade box to enjoy all night long! Course we could add some Brunett fun with that as a 3 some is always the warmest way to go during the winter.
  12. Fine, I can see GM selling off their stake in a few years repaying the GOV and all will be good. Yup I agree that GM was looking for a way to spin of the Socialist arm of GME and using their own Chevy/Buick/Cadillac to grow in Europe. Now is the time to dump the Unions and move towards a true non union setup.
  13. I would agree with the first half, but the second half is totally wrong. Their ML & GL, heck the whole SUV thing is a joke. Small to maybe medium size suv but hardly any real luxury. The sales team here has the whole Mercedes and BMW SUV family covered and none of them hold a match next to mine. For them it is a status symbol. But then as you stated to each their own. :smilies-38096:
  14. -------------------- Nope your not mistaken, GME has been callin many shots and missing most attempts.
  15. Athiest
  16. I saw Cher's interview with ET last night and I agree with her. This mom is a nut case and all 14 kids should be taken away and put into foster homes that will truly love them and care for them. Maybe Trina and Blue should post pictures so we can vote if they should get together? :rotflmao:
  17. Yes the mom and Dad are in this picture, they are mormons and there is a show about their life and how they get along. FYI, this mother is pregnant again. So wrong IMO.
  18. Religous
  19. Yup My Dad, Mom and I all get warm when it gets above 65 so the AC was on the whole way. Even up and over the Grape Vine when we headed into LA to visit some other relatives it did great, no slow down or problems at all.
  20. Nice looking interior for an Ecobox car, but over all just bland and ok looking to me. IMO
  21. I disagree with you, I would take it over either of these two cars. As a person who is 6'6" tall and 275, My boss drives an s500 and a fellow engineer here has an A8 and I am not comfortable in either of them when they drive. Big German will stick with his Big American Luxury SUV. Total Comfort for me and the person sitting behind me.
  22. This will be an interesting 50/50 death/survival watch.
  23. ------------- IMO I totally disagree with you, I happen to own a 2006 Escalade ESV Platinum Edition. They are far more than a tahoe or Yukon Denali could ever be. They are a flagship luxury Vehicle.
  24. Just take along a torch so you can weld over the hole. Then you have a nice warm spot in the car.
