  1. I love the looks of this car. The interior while being very nice looking, yells Coffin and confining to me. I cannot see me or any other 6 foot + tall person fitting in this car. Clastraphobic people will not like it as it is to tight and confining. I am going to have to do some searching as I have seen this shape / style before on the outside as it reminds me of another car but I cannot seem to place where I have seen this styling / design before. Hmmmmmmm
  2. Escalade better survive as I have always owned one and will continue to buy them, I like my full size luxury SUV. I put about 30,000+ miles a year on it as I drive everywhere to see this country and that is my fun. Travel by driving, see America and support the small and big towns as I explore our Great big Country.
  3. So I ran out to get some errands done. Here is what happened on the freeway and my understanding of the lanes here in Washington State. Far left lane for passing and those wanting to go a bit faster than the posted limit. Middle lane is for going at least the speed limit. Far right lane is for going speed limit or slower and exiting the freeway. I got onto the freeway, traffic moving below the posted 60 so moved over into the middle lane and ended up behind a lazy person going 10 under the speed limit. Full traffic behind and besides me in the left lane, so just stayed where I was at. The traffic in front of the person clears out so this person could speed up to 60 but no, they stay at 50. After about a mile or so, I flash them with my high beams so they can move over to the slower right side lane. But NO they still stay where they are and I am still locked in unable to move. Over the next 2 miles or so I flash them 3 more times and still the idiot does not move. Finally I get an opening and take it to move into the left hand lane and then a person from the carpool lane move over and slows down. Traffic is in the carpool lane but I am a single driver so cannot move over. I flash the person but they also ignor me and still stay. I am frusterated and even honk once but still they do not move. I am now coming up to my exit and as such now move over the right lane where the car in front of me takes the earlier exit and I finally have an open lane in front of me. The Car in the middle lane is a Toyota Camry driven by an asian lady who can barely see over the dash. The Car in the left lane is an older impala lowered and driven by what looks like a hispanic person. I wonder if either of them even can speak english as they sure as hell cannot drive. Police here advertise on the TV about Speed kills, Sorry, SPEED DOES NOT KILL! Stupid Drivers, especially ones who are timid and do not speak english cause more problems. Driving is not a right, it is a privilage that you earn and if you are too damn timid, cannot see out the car very well, do not speak english let alone be able to read and write it. You should NOT be driving. Washington State has 54 languages you can take the written driving test in and will supply a transilator if you need one to take the driving test. HOW THE HELL CAN THEY BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE IF THEY CANNOT READ THE ENGLISH ONLY ROAD SIGNS?????????????? Some will probably say I have Road Rage, but for me, I have little patience for Stupid idiot drivers. Your on the road to get from Point A to Point B as fast and as safe as possible. Talking on the phone, smoking, eating etc. are not part of driving. Especially when I see the bimbo's putting on makeup or Idiots shaving and messing around with trying to get ready for work because they choose to sleep in rather than be responsible for getting to bed, get rested and get up in an appropriate amount of time to get ready for work or what ever they are doing. PEOPLE WAKE UP, Driving is a privilage earned and a responsibility. Drive the speed limit, stay to the right if you are not comfortable going faster than the speed limit, stay off the road period and let someone else drive if you are timid about driving.
  4. NO, what are you meaning by that comment?
  5. So then like GM they will isolate and loose at least half of the Spectra customers.
  6. Didn't he want input between the two auto's he was looking at? The audi's are nice but tend to take this thread off thread. I have been wrong before>
  7. This brings me back to the 3 tier level that I still believe GM needs to move to, but also tends to build a case for why they should keep BPG since many people relate to the brand names. Professional Grade is GMC, Denali is GMC. Luxury above Chevy but below Caddy is Buick. Luxury Excitement above chevy is Pontiac. I would think a valid business case could be made to explain this to the Obama auto group.
  8. This story only repeats what many of us have stated over and over. Brand Loyalty can make or break a company if they do not engage the customers of terminated models to get them into newer models.
  9. Nothing like a Meat Market Thread to spicen up the day!
  10. True, the middle is very differant but the over all general outside design has similarities. In fact I have started to see a sad trend of the Hybrids and the eco box's and that is that they are all looking like the same Jelly Bean mold. Individuality is being lost as everyone goes after the same styling. Sad.
  11. Course it would be stupid for them to sell a cash cow that would help them in the long run grow and survive. After all, China has 3 times the population of the US. Be interesting to see what the New GM will end up looking like.
  12. DF, true it was around before the Terrain, maybe GM copied them then. :rotflmao:
  13. Nice ride, thanks for sharing.
  14. +2 Totally agree with both statements.
  15. In regards to the thread topic, Congrates that the people of the state stood up to the idiot Gov as the gov has no right to give certian rights to a marriage and ban it from others just due to a choice of sexual partner. In regards to the body armor link on testing with Pigs. Hey better they test on pigs than humans. Course in that regards the pigs can have 32 orgasims compared to a human male of 1 and they are very loving to each other, so maybe the death row inmates should be used since this could save tax payers money from wasting it on a person who deserves to die from sitting on death row and our brave soldiers gain the benefit of the test results. H'mmmmmmmm Interesting thinking.
  16. WOW, the car yells Honda Knock off to me. The front lower bumper yells to me either the GMC Terrain or some other car I just looked at but says CUV. Gonna have to go look at the other posts and be right back. Yup the outside edges of the bummper do remind me of the GMC Terrain bumper. I am sure others are like this also as many seem to be going for the front bumper block look with driving lights at the outside edge.
  17. WOW, I agree the new seats and carpet are much better. not a fan of the two tone look. Good job, keep the drive and you will have a nice ride the way you want it.
  18. Southern Charm
  19. :rotflmao: Thanks DF for the laugh, I needed one today.
  20. Learned that my upper mgmt is still thinking self gratification of short term thinking and NOT what the Board of directors challanged us in thinking long term investments for the long term growth of the company. Some times I wish they would think a bit harder about the decisions they make.
  21. +1 Very True, Be interesting to see what he writes.
  22. Partner Swapping
  23. +1 Very True DF In regards to the Drift capabilities of the Cobalt, it is totally doable, just have to remember your back end will not be the one to power through, but I have drifted a few FWD's and they have a fun factor that is really cool, just go try one in a open big parking lot. Like at a a WalMart or Costco.
