  1. Dame greedy debt holders and the insurance they took out is why GM will be forced into Chapter 11. Credit insurance hampers GM restructuring By Henny Sender in New York Published: May 11 2009 23:33 | Last updated: May 11 2009 23:33 Hedge funds and other investors stand to make billions of dollars on credit insurance contracts if GM declares bankruptcy, a prospect that is complicating efforts to persuade creditors to agree to a restructuring plan for the automaker, analysts say. Holders of $27bn in GM bonds have until June 1 to decide whether to swap their debt for a 10 per cent equity stake in the company as part of an offer that would give the US government 50 per cent of the shares, a United Auto Workers union healthcare fund 39 per cent and existing shareholders 1 per cent. Gread always destroys companies.
  2. City West is all the unionized Seattle workers and west west is the RedNeck Crowd that works in Bremerton. Yup I agree us Eastside folks in Kirkland area are the normal, laid back Independants.
  3. WOW, I can say if a kid did that to my new ride he would be in the hospital. I am not sure I could hold myself back from beating him to within a hair of his life. Kids like this really need to be trashed to understand just how stupid and the responsibility they have to replace what they damage.
  4. LOL, my wife thought they were ugly and then saw the inside and thought WHY, why did they waste the time and create all that CO2 on such an ugly car that youth do not drive and so far here in Seattle you see only old white haired people driving.
  5. Hey I live in Seattle just north the the Pacific Northwest is not just Liberal Hippies. Most of us are middle of the road Independants due to the idiots that have let their parties be stolen. The GOP is stolen by the Catholic Church and it's drive to make all follow it's rules. The Demo's are stolen by Socialist idiots. Time for the Peoples Party. Small Gov, Limited Taxation, equality for all, including the gay and transgender groups, affordable entry level health care for all. Now back onto the subject. NO I will NOT be buying the Volt! Too small, too low and too Expensive for what it is. Give me the 100 MPG Hummer RWD / 4x4 H3 from Raser. http://www.rasertech.com/
  6. We'll being unemployed now, I have canceled all my wine clubs and went to minimal cell phone plan and Dish plan. Pretty much cutting cost everywhere I can to save money. Course did not help Microsoft dumping 2500 engineers this week. Talk about more completition.
  7. Since they can make the heavy Hummer get 100 MPG as a hybrid, you would think the G8 could get 150MPG in Hybrid mode. I agree with you it would shave off some serious 0 -60 time.
  8. Interesting concept, I would strongly suggest and hope they will go aftermarket and when the OEM see's the benefits to their cars and trucks done by the owners, then they will realize the benefit of using the system. Be interesting to watch.
  9. We'll Lee Johnson Chevrolet just got their lone Camero in today. Price: $27,945 Exterior: Black Interior: Gray Drive Wheels: RWD Engine: 3.6L 6 cyl Fuel Injection MSRP: Contact Us Stock Number: C100001 VIN: 2G1FB1EV0A9102753 I bet they jack this up by 5 grand over the selling price. Maybe I will stop by and check it out.
  10. If you do not mind telling me the general area you are planning to visit, I can post a list of some really yummy places to visit.
  11. Personally I suggest you wait about a year and you will have a ton more options. If you really like projects and cost is not a big issue, then go for building your own or doing it with a kit car.
  12. I agree that their Zuppa Toscana is an awesome Soup. The all you can eat Soup and Salad is one of the best deals. I love the Garlic bread sticks also. Course being a chain, some are better than others, but the one here in Lynnwood Washington does excel above the average. In regards to best Pizza Place: Pizza Bank in Kirkland Washington. The place actually used to be a real bank, their food is awesome. Pies are hard to beat and none of the mass chains can even hold a stick to their pizza. Worst place: Sherries, on par with the dirty Denny's both are pretty sad. Best steak place: Daniels in Bellevue Washington. Their Filet and Porterhouse are amazing. Best Seafood: Just about any place here in Seattle, but I think the best is Palisade Waterfront Restaurant. http://www.palisaderestaurant.com/ Best Fish and Chips: Spuds Fish and Chips in Juanita Bay, Kirkland Washington. We'll will add more later. Gonna go grab some lunch.
  13. AGREED, Leave it alone, the DEXCool is excellent and does not have the issue GM ran into in the 90's. Those that have tried to change back to the Traditional GREEN have actually run into more problems as it is almost impossible to get all of the DEXCool out of the car. Enjoy your new baby and let the DEXCool do it's job, you will be very happy with it.
  14. I see your point, For me, I do not see GM having Hummer or this Awesome Hybrid. I see Raser buying the line and turning it around as a quality Hybrid Line of vehicles. Interesting is on their web site today they have posted a flyer showing how this whole drive line could go into a GMC or Chevy pickup truck or SUV. Clearly they have their eye on supplying an auto maker with their version of a hybrid system. Nice to see this show up next year in som GM products. Allows us to Kick Toyota Ass!
  15. This Hummer keeps the same towing and off road capabilities. Raser says this has everything that makes a Hummer a Hummer plus the Hybrid to save you a fortune in gas cost. Yes, this is Real. Raser has a large amount of Coal burning, energy production plants, Geo Thermal plants and Natural Gas plants. They have the backing to make this happen. I disagree, I like the Hummer vehicles and would love it even more to have one like this that can kick the greenies back to the curb. I would have no problem if GM got apprval to do this to Chevy & GMC mid size SUV/CUV vehicles. Any way you look at it, this is a good thing and major change that will only help this country I think.
  16. That one is surprising as I do not see what is to be boycotted about coors. Anyway, Rocky Mountains.
