  1. Very True, I can see the title now: Centurian ticketed for doing a Century speed in a Buick Centruy!!! Very interesting indeed.
  2. Rock on Man You Deserve it!!! This is cool that the guy can truly still keep it going.
  3. Kirkland Washington Police Department has half of their car fleet on LP.
  4. Walked by the Seattle FireDepartment Museum and they had pulled out to do some work a 1928 Fire Engine. Had to get in so could not stop to see who the make was, but wow have we come a long way since those fire engines.
  5. Welcome Bill, we look forward to your input into our lovely world of Auto Debate!
  6. Love his car, I would buy it in a heartbeat if I had the money.
  7. While the police car prototype showed allot of promise, All the interviews and answers from the talking heads for this company were vague at best. Yes I laugh abot the ov looking out for the tax payer. This is more that in a politically charged election year, many are covering their arse to make sure they have jobs next year. I also though do challange their business plan which they have never really revealed in much detail even the places that want to order their cars. This makes me hesitate about wanting to sink money into this car. GM should consider partnering with them to build this car or some other auto company. I bet they could make a good profit on these cars. Nice Police car, they should work harder to find a way to build it.
  8. Nice to see they are doing it for the Durango next year. My daughter while looking to replace her durango will not be ready till next summer or fall to do this, so she should be able to get one with the 8 speed tranny. SWEETNESS
  9. While this might not be a home run hit that some wanted, this Turbo and size will meet many families needs. I for on would never consider this car as once I get in the front seat, no one can sit behind me. The shortness they did and tight rear will make it a challange for anyone 6' tall or taller. Excited by the high output and the great gas mileage.
  10. Alfa has not had a very solid reputation for quality. They seem to always have done things in a haphazard way and while they have come up with some very interesting designs for their cars, I have yet to see true quality management, planning and quality of product out of them. I have to wonder the same if they are being repositioned or even being looked at as more of a niche player.
  11. Just think, with a CNG kit in your garage and the average US price being $10 per thousand cubic feet, fueling up your auto finally gets cheap again. CNG stations are averaging $1.89 a gallon here in Seattle. Vancouer BC is averaging .75 a liter. This is the way to go. Check your area! http://www.cngprices.com/index.php Whoooooooooo Just found this company with kits. http://www.gonaturalcng.com/
  12. I bet he finds it in the early to mid half of 2013.
  13. Precisely what they should have done ages ago. Better late than never. Me likey! I agree this is the right thing to do. Think about the people who would be more willing to purchase a vehicle when they get an instant 10K rebate. Do this along with GM's new CNG trucks and SUV's and sell those auto's with a CNG filling kit for your Garage at home. Just fill up your auto with Natural Gas and go. This could easily build up the infastructure for alternative fuel fast.
  14. While I do hate to add to our national debt. I think some sort of gov incentive program will have to be done like this to get society to move over to cleaner alternative technology. I for one love the CNG option or even an LP option.
  15. Looking at the pictures on MSN Auto's of the ubber rich new cars, I realize why I love this car so much as they have an amazing shot from the right front Passanger corner of the car and SPEED RACER and the MACH 5 Jumped into my mind. This is a modern REAL version of the MACH 5. I grew up loving that cartoon and all the cool things the car could do. ROCK ON SPEED RACER In Lambo Form!
  16. Balthazar, I see lots of references to L37 of the same Oldsmobile that supposedly got 40 miles to the gallon. http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z9800/Oldsmobile-L-37-Eight.aspx
  17. Jeers in todays economic climate. Not going to waste any more time as it is the wrong type of car for that lovely motor.
  18. UGH, while helping my son buy his first new Jeep, I took a look at the new 200 they have on the lots and all I can say is while the fit and finish is way better than the old Sebring it replaced, it is very boring and just Ugh, does nothing for me.
  19. I totally agree with you, yet I think the bigger issue is you have a socialist group of counteries that make it 100 times harder to let people go and close down and get rid of excess. This tends to make it very hard to lean out when you have over capacity. Europe is going to have to take some hard pains in loss of debt owed, jobs and life style expectations just as have millions in the US. I have nothing against making money based on hard work, but some of our CEO's like the one at Occidental Oil who had the board pay him 372 million over the last 3 years for sub par performance and being the worst performing but still profitable oil company is just ripping off the stock holders. This is one extreme going in one direction and then you have the socialist Unions of Europe who feel companies HAVE TO provide jobs to everyone and never end. We need enough oversight to balance out and keep companies profitable and competative yet balanced for everyone.
  20. New Edge or Explorer, not sure from my 6th floor window, but can tell it is new with that temp license on the rear window. Boy are they just generic looking. nothing to write home about.
