  1. Yes, I am actually excited for the ELR. I think it will bring some Excitement to Cadillac. Hopefully they get it out before Infinity.
  2. Why do I get this feeling that we will see the same fall out as the trucks and suvs did as consumers get to many options. Flood a market with to much and people become confused and stick with what they know. I think GM finally realized that they need to cover all the market segments, but not have an over kill of just one brand with too many special versions. I personally think BMW has overkilled this and now Audi seems to be following the same poor plan.
  3. That was never the case. Snopes has a great debunk of this myth. http://www.snopes.co...sxlate/nova.asp Thanks for the post as that was an outstanding read on the history of this story. I actually heard it the first time from a worker at my local family owned Chevy dealership. I had also heard it from my dad and others in the industry and never thought to research it more. I forwarded the link to a friend who is a mechanic at that dealership and he read it and could not believe it as he swears that is the truth. Now they have a debate going on as to if snopes has this right or not. Amazing how someone from a position of knowledge can keep a story like this going on for a long time.
  4. You would think that they would be looking at ways to minimize time length by putting in place a process that can say change out at least 1 auto in 6 months with the latest tech such as this 9 speed tranny so that they can start marketing it to get sales and build excitement.
  5. Very interesting, Wonder if this is due to Cadillac getting their own Luxury Hybrid based on the Volt. Eventually these cars while being a halo vehicle for the brand at this time will lead to wider acceptance of changing ways to power auto's.
  6. Being cropped down that much seems to have lost some of the dramatic affect IMO.
  7. I am amazed that they say it would be 2014 at the earliest. I would think they would want to get it in ASAP.
  8. Build your own reaper mobil, engine, paint it matt black, put in red LED's to have the headlights glow and you have your own death mobil. Ted Bundy would have loved it. JK about the Ted Bundy part.
  9. If this car does inspire people like the original 240Z did, then they will have a hit on their hands. Yet it might just be me, but I see a dramatic shift by people to expecting certian level of refinement in an auto and I have to wonder if a bare bones driving machine will be a hit like it was in past years. Plus with all the government ninny devices, it makes the over all excitement level of driving to be very boring. One reason to hold onto and keep your older auto's.
  10. Drawings mean nothing today as they rarey ever allow the public to get any kind of feel for the new vehicle. Visualization is a lost art on the public. I can see what they wan to get across with this drawing, but I wonder if the public can see anything? So far in the last 10 years, previsualization has gone way down.
  11. I would not be happy if GM kept changing the name of the Suburban or Yukon. Names need to carry on through good and bad times. This is the name recognition one wants. Only time a name change should be warranted is like the Nova I believe in spanish community it ment "No Go" or something like that. Names really need to be thought out for the sake of the image of a company, good will it builds.
  12. Sweet ride, it does look like it was an ambulance at one time. The roof line looks normal in regards to being it came from manufacturing this way, but it does look a few inches taller than other like versions of the same SUV. Over all it would be a very cool an fun truck to fix up as a classic.
  13. You Rock, thanks for the link. Guess I am not the only one to notice the subtle changes.
  14. I agree with you that the US has nothing like this and that on paper it seems like alot of power, but so far my experiance with scion is that their cars are slugs, cheap interiors, cheap cars. Remember, though, this is a Subaru...from what I've read in the magazines, it's a fun little car. It's a light RWD sports car, sounds like the ingredients are good. This is not a typical FWD Toyota appliance. True, but it is Subaru's first RWD, so I am being my normal hesitent self till I see the proof in the Pudding. Lunch Time
  15. I agree with you that the US has nothing like this and that on paper it seems like alot of power, but so far my experiance with scion is that their cars are slugs, cheap interiors, cheap cars. I do not have much expectations for this, as it will just be another way to try and get people into the toyota fold. GM and Ford could so do a better job if they really wanted. Just look at what Fiest and Focus have done around the world.
  16. Nice Photo, one reason I always turn off the time/date stamp. I would use Photoshop and then use the blend spong and just grab the surrounding darkness and go over the stamp and let it blend it to match the surrounding area and you will be pretty happy with it.
  17. Exactly, Bring in the new Trailblazer with the Duramax Line of engines with awesome fuel economy and towing and you will win over converts I truly believe.
  18. Great that they will have the Blue TEC with AWD. That is the configuration to get. I love the external look all around, a nice refresh of the body. Inside I have mixed emotions, The air vent scream ricer racer boy mixed with overload of button technology. Just seems to really be a cut up dash still. Did anyone notice the g CLASS suv in the background of picture 17. It is a bit different than what they show on their web site. Wonder if this is an updated G SUV?
