  1. Was going to go CHEERS, but then looked at the whole add and all 60+ pictures and to me the amount of rust on the underbody, the large amount of leaking seals from diff's, driveline, tranny to engine and what looks like modern disc brakes makes me really wonder how much of a restoration was done versus a shack and back clean up to get it to look nice and sell it for a profit. I love the look and package, but the pictures raise to many questions for me. JEERS!
  2. Some valid and interesting points you make.
  3. If it has the I beams in the door to protect against side impact and when the door comes up it locks against the body, I do not see why this would not satisfy safety standards.
  4. Freakin Amazing, was funny to see it go by that bland VW on the Street. She is right, today you have a much harder time telling the difference between cars by the sound of the exhuast or the shape. Wish some real body design would come back. GM seems to be on track to deliver some style differences, but we still have a long way to go.
  5. WOW, Makes be drool BIG TIME!!!
  6. http://www.flixxy.com/high-speed-amphibious-all-terrain-vehicle-the-scamander.htm Very cool Special Project car. Check it out, last wish of a dying man, but he got his wish for an amazing Auto!
  7. http://www.flixxy.com/nissan-deltawing-le-mans.htm Pretty freakin cool, I am excited to see this race at the LeMans.
  8. http://www.flixxy.com/the-britalian-job.htm Very cool Mini Commercial for the upcoming games. A node to the Italian job but filmed driving around London. Enjoy,
  9. I had forgotten about these types of aftermarket doors. It would be cool if GM did this for the Caddy and Buick divisions. What do you think? I loved the pickup truck with the doors.
  10. Check out this very cool Video. So what do you think, the future of Auto's?
  11. Wish I could see it, stupid company is blocking the site. Can anyone post a pic?
  12. Sorry but some woman should never be allowed to drive nice rides.
  13. Very cool Balth, thanks for posting them.
  14. Wow talk about a crap shoot. Roll the dice please.
  15. Cool looking, probably end up in the next fast and furious movie. Are we sure it is nitrous and not dry ice or some other type of gas?
  16. This is the new Gov Drug policy, keep em focus in their induced haze on building nothing. Talk about a sad end to a car.
  17. WOW, All that for a car. Cool car but still a car. Makes you wonder if he had a customer out of country willing to pay top dollars for it to go into a collection or just the wrong pick of a car to steal.
  18. Why do I see this as the GOV wasting money there to try and save union jobs on a dead product line. Electrical plug in SAAB will not save this company. I guess they feel with the down eruo economy, it was probably pennies on the dollar to pick up the pieces and give it a try. At least then when it fails they can say we tried one last time. I truly believe CNG is a better focus than Electrical at this time.
  19. Great Review, sad that they cut corners with the engine and mileage.
  20. Our famous and missing friend, PCS/Oracle of Delphi, stated long ago that the Theta platform was quite capable of handling off-road duty if the suspension was set-up correctly. The current set-up of the Terrain and Equinox is for on-road performance - aka "inclement weather" driving and light all-terrain duty. However, if a modest suspension lift can be installed, with meatier tires, an All-Terrain limited edition (not an Off-Road model) could be brought to market to capture an audience attune to such a vehicle. Jeep does this with the Compass (on-road) and Patriot (all-terrain) models, though we all know that with a little extra tuning the Patriot can be an off-road warrior too. My biggest peeve with the Terrain is that for a SUV-wannabe CUV with truck-like styling, it sits way too low to the ground. That would be okay if it was the FWD that sat this low, but I feel the AWD version should have some lift to it and extra ground clearance. My mom's '05 Saturn VUE V6 AWD (and the Gen1 Equinox & Pontiac Torrent too) sits higher off the ground than the current Theta's do. I agree that the Terrain should and could have a proper lift in AWD form and be a competition to the Compass/Patriot. GM should consider a limited version like this. I think they could get a nice profit on a built unit like this.
  21. Let your own mind do the walking.
  22. I agree that it looks like a good part car for E-Bay or would be a beauty restoration for a full size convertible if you had the time and money.
  23. Impressive comparo, but I disagree with their end result. I would have had the Cruze first, then TDI and Mazda 3rd based on their own testing methods.
  24. But a Sleeper entry level car with true Power would bring fresh blood into the fold!
