  1. It is interesting that this seems to be an evolution of the iMID system found on Honda Civic GX CNG cars. Just expanded to cover their new EV version and to get more Honda Auto's with the Bluetooth phone and satellite access for navigation, road conditions and weather. So question begs to be asked, Why drag this out? Why do a version for the CNG, now call it something different and role this out to the EV Fit car and the Accord. Why not just role it out to all auto's so that people can buy with this technology rather than drag it out. GM does well with having their OnStar and XM/Sirius on all auto's. Honda wake up and realize, this needs to go into all auto's now.
  2. At least this is better looking than the current 2012 ugly Civic.
  3. Agreed that the big money and then cut them loose when their is not instant gratification of big profits is a problem in corporate america. Sadly as long as executives and boards of companies always look to instant gratification and instant profits over long term growth and dedication to all you will have this churn and burn business thinking.
  4. One has to wonder why the decision to pull what would seem to be successful models and send in new models only to have weak sales. I have never understood some of the decisions VW has made about the cars they sell here. The performance market for Pocket Rockets would tend to dictate that they should have their small performance cars here as they would sell in huge numbers. Even if one is not a performance fan, the styling is so much better than the bland stuff on the lots, one would think they would want to drive some buzz by having some designs that make people talk.
  5. Happy B day Zman!!!
  6. Does not surprise me, without a performance guy to champion a given car, the sales numbers do not support keeping a halo like this going. Plus the current GTR never really hit home to consumers the way the R34 or R35 did.

  8. Bland Design language, bland build quality and just plain problems all the way around had led VW to their current status. They need to make major changes to get the product line going again.
  9. Clearly there are deeper marketing issues and he did not sync with the Board. Rule number one, make sure your in sync with those above you so you are all running in sync to win the race. Good Luck to him, but I think he never really was in sync with GM and did the move only for the $ and title. The GM ads during the superbowl was Great. Dave did not make it due to driving a Ford, Ford hated the ad and complained keeping it in the news for weeks. Great marketing!!!
  10. There reg, I fixed that for ya.... Too Funny!!!
  11. Is that the state where every brother marries their cousin or something? I thought their official tag line was "The State of official Inbred Living!" Actually, Kentucky does not allow 1st cousin marriage... like CA, FL, NY, MA and several others do. WOW, CA, FL, NY, MA still allows this??? No wonoder those states are so messed up! Very true, it must have been running rampant for them to have the need to create this law. I alwys thought it was common sense, but then imbreeding was the downfall of Roman society!
  12. Probably just as well to wait for the Omega flagship and will allow them time to fix the terrible dealer network over there. I agree get the Euro network of dealers updated and fixed, before shipping in more product choices. It should be a crime for a dealership to be allowed to call themselves a Cadillac dealership when they are a hole in the wall dump like a 2nd hand thrift store. But that is all the Rolls dealer is in Russia. LOL! They do need to get this network sorted out and organized right before they make the leap again. If they fail this time even with good product it will be a long time before they could even consider going back again. We are at Strike Two now. Rolls are 2nd hand cars in Russia! I agree with 2 strikes against them, they need to sort the network out, invest in proper luxury dealerships and then roll out the goods!

  14. Nope your wrong on the ashtray thing. Try a 93 or 94 GMC Suburban, you had ashtrays with lighters on the doors in the dash and in the center console for the back seat and even in the wheel well for the third seat. My suburban was built for the texas market, but had everything I wanted plus the smokers package. It got shipped up from Texas and I was shocked at how many freakin trays and lighters it came with. Lucky for me, I do not smoke, but all those power ports sure come in handy on road trips for plugging in auto accessories. Rock on GM for the smokers option. I will say now in my son's new Jeep Patriot, I love the 110 plug outlets in the front and back of the vehicle for use by all 5 passengers and the outlet in the far back for use by other stuff. Pretty cool.

  17. Happy B Day to all who have it today! Way to go Ocnblu, great to have the diversity of life on the site. You all rock!
  18. Wonder who will buy them up? I just got this gut feeling that they are doing minimal while they wait for a large company to come in and buy their technology and assembly line so they can get a profit back to the investors.
  19. Yea saw Larsons add for Washington state again, Manual Jetta with cloth interior, am/fm hd radio and the normal required safety devices for $79 a month. For $89 a month they say you can step up to navigation and a few other bells and whistles and then they have a $99 jetta with auto and a $109 jetta fully loaded if I read the commercial right. So much thrown at you in a 30 sec spot. These lease rates should keep them moving cars, but I wonder if there is really any value in the residual and with their quality issues, I wonder how long these cars really will last.
  20. Nascar exists for the Good Ol Boys to drink lots of cheap piss budwiezer beer and fondle their cousin. Road Racing is way better. We need a true race track like Germany has so we can really test the actual cars and drivers.
  21. If you have a 50CC to 500CC bike company that is very clean on emissions, I am sure you can sell ton's at the right price point in India and China! Good Luck boys.
  22. The old Chrysler push buttons were manual and never failed in the cars I came across or when family had one. But here, I do wonder if some electronic fails does it just lock up or go into a limp home mode?

  24. Here is one I found on the net. http://www.leasetrader.com/Volkswagen-Jetta-Lease-Specials The company that was running the crazy $79 lease on Jetta's and other VW cars in a TV commercial was Larson Auto's VW dealerships. They are pretty much it for the area other than one other small family owned VW dealership in the northend. http://www.larsonvw.com/page/incentives/en/# This is their incentive page. It looks like the $79 might be on a stripped manual Jetta. But to confirm the price they want you to give them your info and they will get back to you.
