DOOH, I knew I was doing something wrong in trying to get all my work done so I can enjoy vacation next week. Cab over Engine. What a concept, I actually zoned on the COE thing. Chicks on Engines does play a major theme in my mind especially when it comes to old awesome trucks! Hugs to all!

I am so sick and tired of all the Political BS on the TV, News, Radio, etc. If anyone of these people really wanted to stand out and get a public vote, then stand up and tell us you will not be in office for more than 18 years and sign a legal document to that affect. Do not play party, play the job to accomplish all the illes we need fixed in this country. Cut in half our 1081 Military bases over seas and spend that money on rebuilding America. Stop giving billions in cash to counteries that are not really our friends. Just work hard and do your job and stop B@$ching about life. You get out of it what you put into it and nothing more. You are not owed anything. End of Political rant. Sorry everyone, I am just sick of all the Political BS.

GMC News: 2013 GMC Acadia To Start At $34,875*

I agree that GMC should be an upscale only line and not have base stripped models. Leave that to Chevy. -
Cadillac News: 1,200-hp Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V Coupe offered
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Cadillac
I wonder if the AWD system of the CTS regular could be beefed up enough to handle the power from the CTS-V or even this monster. I would think it would be freakin awesome if this was AWD. -
Cadillac News: 1,200-hp Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V Coupe offered
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Cadillac
Very interesting info on assessing power/torque. But what do you think of this Hennessey production car? The look, your impression/feeling? We know you think it is over powered based on your formula, but what about their interruption of this Cadillac and their top performance version? -
G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - CheersandGears.com We all love GM and how Cadillac has been on a roll lately. Yet even then we know that GM will never give you everything you have wanted or fullfill the niche area of ultimate performance. Now with Hennessey stepping up, it looks like Cadillac will truly have a monster that will put everyone in it's place, even Bugatti. Review the story and sound off on what you think of this Hennessey Built Monster! John Hennessey's tuning shop in Texas operates on a simple principle that denies the existence of "too much horsepower." Here's his latest offering to the angry gods of speed -- a dozen Hennessey V1200 Cadillac CTS-V coupes, all of which offer more than double the power of their everyday lookalikes with a Bugatti-challenging 1,226 hp and a top speed of 242 mph. http://autos.yahoo.c...-190832135.html View full article

This guy and all the rest of the morons in the boat got what they deserved. You do not go that fast and think you can just relax. They should all have been in seats with life vests and due diligence for the high speed run.

True, this is a company trying to play the stock market like any other stock manipulating company. But they do truly hit the nail on the head. The World has way to much capacity in production and with China and India coming online with auto manufactures, the money loosing dead wood needs to be trimmed. Does Opel really need to be around in 10 years from now with Global names like Chevy, Buick and Cadillac? GM needs to only look to their old past to see that it is time to trim this label and focus all their resources on building up their strongest options. Roll the opel product into the Chevy lineup and simplify and grow their strongest brands.

Chrysler News: 2013 SRT Viper Can Be Yours For $97,395*
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chrysler
Exciting, but I have to wonder how many people will step up to order with the current global economy. With credit charges down 17% and the clear facts that the rich are not spending money, one wonders how successful this launch will be. Now the reduction in charging is a good thing for the long term viability of this country as people get debt paid off and then will have more free disposable income. -
Porsche News: Porsche Raising Production Estimates For Macan
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
The production numbers will have to be based on a lower price then they might have been planning to sell it for. I cannot imagen in the current global down turn that they can sell a ton of 100K CUV's. -
I see a greatly reduced Opel. Best thing is to take a hybid approach to this. You need to keep a connection to your Euro Customers, but Opel would best be served by reducing down to minimal engineering to make sure product is inline with Euro requirements and taste. Manufacturing, reduce to minimal but otherwise close the over capacity plants and move to eastern Europe. GM should use their Opel distributors and build out a master dealership that can cover Cadillac, Chevy, Buick and Opel and call it good. No need to have stand alone dealers. I believe you can reduce Opel down to being profitable, but it will cause some bad press due to the massive closures to right the ship. They cannot continue with the bleeding they currently have. Time for front line dressing of the wounds and cut off the damaged/dead plants now.

Honda News: 2013 Honda Accord Starts At $21,680*

This gives me the impression that Honda realizes they have an image problem and are giving features away to lure people back to their bland design cars. -
