Chevrolet News:Meet The New LT1 V8 For The C7
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
I use Albert as my "consumer focus group - subgroup: people dumb about cars".... in the nicest way possible of course. Anyone who drives a Honda or Toyota has been conditioned into thinking that when the "Service Required Soon" light starts flashing, then it is time to get an oil change. It could be 3,000 miles or 15,000 miles... they ignore the sticker as long as that light isn't on. Very true and now with GM, Ford and pretty much everyone telling you to just follow the computer for when to get oil changes, etc. If the computer does not tell them, most will ignore the 3K that a grease monkey puts on the window. -
Good to know as the place I found them on did not state it was the concept or sema version. But it also is good to compare and realize that they pretty much stayed true to the design language.

Chevrolet News:Meet The New LT1 V8 For The C7
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
Unless they are really stupid customers to ignore their engine info center, most people should come to realize that we are at the end of days with the BS 3000 miles you change the oil. That was true of older cars of the 90's and older than that, but not with todays cars and the use of synthetic or blends, you should be able to go 7500 to 10K miles now on an oil change. -
Rock on, thank you Drew.

1992 GMC Sierra SLE - $2500 (Lansdale, PA)
G. David Felt replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
Very, very tempting - that's one of my top two-tone color combinations, and the fact it has the blue cloth interior tops it off. The mileage though... 191k. Any info about the durability of this year's engine and trans? Rock On:metal: The engine trans is really solid, I have it in my old suburban before I decided to rebuild and go performance I got over 300K and probably could have gone another 300K but was wanting to have some fun with customizing. Correct, my label is there on the bottom of the glove box, just have to remove what ever is in there to see it. -
Very sad, while I feel the father is mostly responsible for giving the auto to an immature kid, it was the kids decision to drive much faster than he had the skill set to handle. Sad for the family and friends. I hope his passenger survives.

While I have no interest in cars this small, I do have to give GM kudo's for making a nice looking external and internal that people can enjoy. I like this interior much better than my light tan interior on my caddy.

GM News: GM and PSA Announce Four New Co-Developed Platforms
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
But if there is truly a better platform, why not move forward sooner to lead the asian and euro brands rather than equal of follow. GM needs to truly do everything they can to jump ahead and build up some serious cash.- 16 replies

You talking about this bad ass boy?

GMC Just needs to use the Hummer technology for a proper Extreme Off Road package.

Ocn please expand, what happened with the job? Price on it is way too high, that mileage on that truck should be in the $5k range.

Too True, So here I go, I am 6'6" tall, brunett with a 40" inseam, weight is 275. I love to workout in the gym and my suit coat is a 56 in the shoulders. All my long sleeve dress shirts are from Nordstroms who seems to be one of the few that actually carries quality 2xl double tall dress shirts in a variety of colors. So with these extra long legs and arms and wide shoulders, the interior space is a big deal to me. If I can set myself up to be comfy in the drivers seat, get out and get in behind myself and be comfy than anyone will be comfy behind me.

I agree, with these kind of super fast cars, driving lessons should be mandatory.

I was starting to wonder about you, man. Yea how bad of a week has it been already, I have totally confused on my emails between the two Elizabeth's and they now are wondering if they are working on the wrong projects. In looking at this Engine, It would be cool to have a Whipple Supercharger on it.

WHY WHY WHY, When will parents learn that giving your kids what ever they want does not make them a good person. Now they have to deal with their kid being burned over 80% and scared for life. The Moron Father.

This - I agree 100%. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the GMC Terrain as a CUV. I'm hating on the name, as it implies something more. I wish GMC would have reserved it for something more suited for that name (actually, I wish they didn't use it at all and kept it for a true All Terrain package for their full-size pickups and SUVs). Acadia, Denali, Yukon are all national park names. As such, maybe they should have used that theme and went with Coronado, Glacier, Appalachian, or Saratoga? All are US national parks!! Hell I'd even say call it Rainier - how many people would remember the Buick outside of auto enthusiasts? Then GMC could have used the Terrain on a true offroad CUV that had the heart of a HUMMER! That would have Rocked! I like Rainer for the small Terrain.

You guys crack me up, I get both the Sarcastic remark and the seriousness of the electric car which are fine luxury golf carts for inter city commuting.
