Industry News: Fisker Heads To China To Look For A Partner
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
This is BAD news for them. China Companies will only steal their intellectual property. More American Technology going overseas due to Idiot Businessmen that can only see instant gratification rather than investing in this country long term. Investment companies should be looking long term to make the technology part of the world standard and build it here for export. This just shows even more how greedy the few at the company are and their lack of ability to look long term. America WAKE UP!!! It is time to create, develop and grow new green technology long term here, not sell out to China. -

I always liked her too. Too bad we're both too young for her. True, I would be happy to be her daddy figure! Saw the trailer for her upcoming movie over the weekend, damn she is hot.

Yet with Canada, Mexico and Us producing more oil, the refined Gas stocks are going up and the oil companies are shipping the gas overseas due to higher prices they can get there and so our prices are not going down and even worse, lately they are going back up again. The Gov has done nothing to deal with the pricing fixing that is clearly going on with oil and gas prices.

Mixed Feelings about this as they have not had a good track record here in the US and that car in the little tiny picture reminds me of a porches nock off.

Nice Fabio Hair! Mr Small Size, where is your current Photo?

Delta and Camino, I agree with your feelings about where the car industry is going. I have no problem going to cleaner greener forms of energy to move the auto, but the self driving car is not what I see when I look to the future.

Facebook and pop culture is a waste of good time. So many better things to do than be into those items. Course Facebook could burn down and I would careless same with Twitter. I see no real value in either of those platforms for driving sales. In fact reviews of companies that have used them have shown more money spent then returned. GM has stopped Facebook and twitter advertising. They had their day and are slowly fading.

Interesting but this seems to tell me they are shooting themselves in the foot by clearly stating just how different the car will be. Guess they wanted to kill off any residual value in the current 200's.

Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra Live Reveal
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
The Avalanche is an amazing truck that should not be ended. The local Chevy dealerships are all sold out and there are waiting list from what I am seeing on local news. Wish GM would realize it still has legs to stand on. -
Yes, Stephan Harper may be a bit too conservative for my tastes... but I wouldn't call him a dictator.. Yea I always do forget about Canada as I consider it the Black Sheep of the NA Market. Was thinking more inline with the Arab countries and primarily Venezuela and their dictator for life.

Cadillac News: Detroit Auto Show: 2014 Cadillac ELR
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Due to all the roads NOT on the nav systems, driverless cars will be primarily for cities and major freeways, but not in the country. -
But I am a dick! Course many asians believe in reincarnation and feel that those instant feelings for another is due to the fact that you were involved with them in a past life.
-
Google also has their driverless cars running in Arizona where the first person to get one of their cars is a blind man. So you do bring up good points about liability in the event the system fails. In this case, the guy could press the breaks, but if the system fails he will not be able to really do anything other than break since he cannot see anything. Personally, while I like the idea of having the feature to turn on for those days of needing to take a nap, I enjoy my driving and want to do it myself rather than have a computer do it.

GM and Chevy to address the FRS, GT-86 and BRZ?
G. David Felt replied to hyperv6's topic in Chevrolet

I am a big fan of the Code 130 RS concept car. It has such a non-conforming design... too many jellybean cars already exist in the marketplace. I agree with Camino, the different frontend is a good thing. It's unique enough to establish the car but also relate it to being a "Chevy". Maybe we'll be surprised at one of the remaining "big" auto shows (Chicago or New York)?

+1
Jelly Bean cars are destroying the auto industry with a lemmings approach to having everyone drive and look the same. I want individuality and yes that means it just might be polarizing. The Escalade of 2001 was very polarizing and yet sold a ton of SUV's. I think this car can be polarizing and still sell a ton due to it being truly different. The Gamer scene loves this car. With 5-6 million consoles sold a year world wide, if they could sell just 5% of that number the car would be a hit. Why has the WRX and Evo sold so well, the gamers. Yet I find the EVO Butt Ugly and the latest version of the WRX/STI to be just blah. Others love them. So I think this little car as is can be a hit selling enough to be very profitable. -
wow, if they truly pull off 15 hybrids by 2016 then they will be in the competition. GM needs to get the VOLT technology into more auto's. Full size SUV's can handle much bigger battery packs for longer range. Personally, I could go for 800HP of electric motors in an awd Suburban with a small Diesel or CNG generator.

Cadillac News: Cadillac Could Double Their Lineup
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Jim Hall is a deusche who thinks he knows a lot about auto industry because he has a mercenary (sorry consulting) company. True,For the most part, consulting companies rarely offer any real value other than to confirm or deny mgmt thoughts on the direction to go. Most consultants talk a big talk but do not have the chops to back it up in real world work / technical ability to actually do the work themselves. -
Considering how many trains and container ships use electric motors with diesel generators, I totally see the sense of getting the full size trucks and SUV's to use the Volt style system. This would truly make a difference in the market for petrol. If semi trucks did this it would probably stop the need to import any oil period. Course better yet would be CNG and just leave all those dictators with having to find alternative markets for their oil.

Mucho Better, Nice Camero in the background! ProfilePic.jpg You Next! Done Next Please! Ugh, I need new glasses, I hate them. What state penitentiary did you run away from? I will only tell you once you post a picture of yourself!

Been there, done that...here parents didn't like her dating non-Jews, even a well-educated chunky bald WASA... And they say they are not racist, yet when a section of the population tell their kids to only date and marry within their own race and then they say America is racist, we end up with reverse racism. My latest pet peeve with this is the black community. I believe if you were born and raised here, your Heritage is African American, but you are a black American. No different in regards to my own kid who's heritage is Korean but they were born here so they are Asian American. End result would be if we could just dump the Political Correctness and not bother with skin color.

Sweet, now I know what one other member looks like. Now to get the rest to post pictures. Common Drew, that little picture does not do your mug justice!

Nope that makes ya a Player in the Human Race! My love of asian woman is one reason I went to college in Japan where I could travel the asian rim cheaply and enjoy the field of flowers! If anything happens to my wife, I will probably stay single and enjoy the company of others. Course lately I have become very smitten with Bollywood actresses. There are some lovely ladies with amazing curves!
