I am sure any of us would love to live in that interior, but the exterior is unsettling. Not a fan, looks dated and old. Then most who can afford these are with old money.

Karma News: Fisker Taking Bids From Geely and Dongfeng
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Karma
Um, you know the Fisker has a gas engine too right? There isn't a single thing stopping you from being able to drive one from your house to Portland Maine. Yes, but in regards to the pure electric only auto's I still put them in the luxury golf cart category. Fisker is still an ugly car to me, the volt style technology I had hoped would stay in the use with an American Investment group, but it seems it will become china property sooner than most think. -
Pass. Sony sat on their ass and lost, they OEM panels from Samsung and others, nothing new or great about Sony TV's, Camcorders, computers or even this game console. They are on a slow death march which on name alone will keep them going but eventually will fad away. XBOX that is a cool freaking console and the upgrade based on what I have read and what I have seen on campus will blow this away. Better options than the over priced Sony stuff.

I agree, it is a evolution of what the caprice looked like from the 80's I see.

Karma News: Fisker Taking Bids From Geely and Dongfeng

Luxury Golf Carts for Inner City use is the best use at this time. They are not sensible or practical for real world use across any decent distance. -
weird, looks like something from the Buck Rogers in the 21st century show.

That is one sweet ride. Very sharp

Love that C50 I would buy it if I had money and it was available.

Geneva Motor Show: Volkswagen XL1: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Geneva International Motor Show
Doors Cool, Exterior reminds me of the old Ford Probe, very ugly and the rear quarter panel sides reminds me of that first Honda ugly hybrid. The Dash is blah also and while I am impressed with the technical aspect of the car, I find no passion in the body, the interior or anything else for that. Souless car.- 2 replies

So what is the status of this cool little number? Did you do it?
-
Very Cool engine, but the car is butt ugly and to much mini van style.

Very Cool Video! With Gas prices expected to hit $5+ a gallon this summer, I say do it as a CNG auto. 130 Octane, fuel at home and save big time for those tires you will be replacing every weekend.

I'm pretty sure he used to have a website (or maybe still does) full of Holden Chops back in the GTO era. I used to have it bookmarked. The guy is good.... real good. EDIT: Just checked, not the same guy. But whoever "MonaroSS" is, I wish GM would give him a design job. I totally agree this guy needs to be working for GM as he is very talented.

Does not matter, this just continues to preach that HP is everything when it is only one piece of the solution and instead of building a proper engine with Equal torque to HP they are relying on Electric motors to give it the torque. DOHC engines are not that efficient as marketing would like to preach.

Subaru News: Subaru Mulls About Adding Models To Their Lineup
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Subaru
Great another Hybrid that produces tons of Green house gases. The Nickel-metal-hydride is even worse of a polluter than the lithium-ion. Course there is also the settlment ponds full of toxic liquid besides the 10 yrs worth of Green house gas produced when the battery is produced. Then most green tree huggers and mother earth lovers do not think about this damage, only the tail pipe emissions. -
We'll Looks are in the eye of the beholder, I just find it sad that you have an engine producing all the Horsepower and such reduced Torque. Sorry but for all the fans of these OVC engines, I still do not see how the weight increase of over head cams benefit a traditional GM V8 that produces Torque equal to HP. After all you can have all the HP you want, but if you do not have the torque it is a waste. Diesels have proven that Torque is what wins the war and moves mass, not HP.

Is it me or does it need shocks in the rear, seems to be dragging it's butt. Over all nice clean car, I hope if it was meant to be it works out for you and goes your way. GoodLuck.

Cheers or Jeers: 2000 Chevrolet Escalastro!
G. David Felt replied to wildmanjoe's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
Not bad, if it was AWD it would have potential as a fun Ski ride up the mountain. One thing about the Astro, GM should have grafted the mini stage coach doors with the big glass onto the Subrbans long ago. -
Gm still has stupid people in mgmt positions that are still lemmings poising the company.
