Vehicle: Volkswagen Beetle TDi (2013)
G. David Felt replied to ocnblu's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
So if the handsome Gingerbreard man was the one fumbling around in your car would he stll have been a bitch? I agree with you Ocnblu that people who go out to a customers auto to get info better damn well know the auto's and not just be a pretty face, etc. That is the one thing I love about my caddy dealership, the service rep is the only person who goes out to get info and they know the auto's inside and out. While the dealership needs a major remodel, I am very pleased with the service and people working there. Professional across the board. Glad to hear your TDI is still pleasing you so well. Saw a bluish looking one this morning walking to work with new temp lic in the rear window. You can truly barely hear the diesel. Very quite engine and while the traditional knock is there, it is nothing like the cummins or powerstroke. Wish we could get a audio of the Duramax 2.9L, I wonder if it is as quite as the V8 Duramax. That is one engine I just love. -
Bad News: You just found out with the DNA Test that this woman is your sister.

Right Answer, that is a big pain in the ass and very time intensive.

I agree, that putting cadillac in the same dealerships is a good idea as long as their Show Room is seperate from the others and focused on a true luxury level.

Found these on a search and now what I thought was a small 2 door SAV is a 4 door SAV. Plus the comparison to the Evoq is also interesting.

Very interesting, mud need to make one correction please. or what we could a crossover. I assume the word could should be call? The X family especially the X6 has been a love it hate it relationship for me as some colors make me go Hmmmmm and other colors have made me go WTF. This small 2 door SAV has me scratching my head as I am not sure if I really like it or not, I hate the big blind spots it has with the rear quarter panels.

wow, that is surprising as I had not seen that kind of mileage in the ones I had rented.

I agree with most of what you say except the traditional full size sedan comment. Maybe you are too young to really know what a full size sedan is, but I can tell you that the Avalon and Azera are mid size cars not full size. In fact the auto industry is trying to reboot what a full size sedan is by saying these cars are full size, but anyone who knows history can tell you these are nothing but mid size cars.

I think we are also over looking other great options that will appreciate in time. Trailblazer SS is top on my list.

Given Cadillac's lack of investment and commitment to Europe, I hope to see the new CTS next time I go to the US (or, if I'm lucky, maybe on one of my trips to Sweden). With GM's track record, it would be interesting to have a thread for people to post their plan on how GM should bring their product line to Europe. I think people outside of the box might actually have a better chance on selling the luxury line (cadillac) and mid lux line (Buick) to Europe.

I have got to imagen they have gone back to a body on frame as Unibody cannot handle a stretch like that even if place steel rods in the unibody version of the frame areas. i see this has what looks like sag in the middle, it still is not that strong looking. Crazy waste of a good car.

Oops, thanks I was thinking OHC not OHV, but still I question OHC engines as I do not see them being that great.

Both of these just look wrong. A bad scifi experiment. Saw the first sections of the 56 foot diameter Bore Worm that will build our new overpriced tunnel below Seattle. It arrived last weekend on a massive ship and is being unloaded to be assembled now. Very cool project for Big Iron.

Mini News: Some Mini Models Might Not Return For A Second Act
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in MINI
I agree that some of there models are not worthwhile, to me it seems more of a packaging than a model and they could probably offer the same features in fewer models and have better profitability. It will be interesting to see their lineup in a year. -

So then I still am missing something here as I have to assume this is going to be one of these awesome OHC engines. We have pushrod v8 and v6 engines that produce respectable HP and equal or greater Torque. Yet we get to OHC engines and there is always great HP but a lack of Torque that is at least equal. We know Torque is what gets you moving so why is this engine not able to have 174 HP and 184 pound-feet of Torque. I do not see how these heavier OHC engines are better than a push rod design. To me this is a very non-impressive engine.

Thought we should start a thread for Family Photo's. Came across this one and it was awesome. If you find other family photo's please post them here for Chevy.
