The q5w rim has a certain retro look to me and the N88 has that traditional flush smooth look that will get scratched and messed up fast after just the first parallel parking rub. Over all nice rims, but they seem to me that they would be hard to clean. I like a rim that has a flow with larger openings so my big ass hands can fit in and wash them easily.

Still think GM Marketing is missing the boat by not having ads for all models rather than just a choosen few.

Fiat looses $10,000 per 500e having Chrysler absorb this cost to be compliant for selling in California. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/05/12/chrysler-loses-10000-per-fiat-500e-sold/ WOW Fiat 500e is more expensive than Nissan Leaf or Ford Focus E. http://www.torquenews.com/106/2013-fiat-500e-price-threatens-nissan-leaf-video Over all I see no need for these Golf Carts except for the moron politicians in California killing business.

Buick News: Spying: Buick Belts Out An Anthem*
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Buick
I love the Terrain special look and how it is anything but a Jelly Bean Chevy. I hope GMC keeps it different as that is what draws me to it. I will also admit when I saw and posted the pictures last year from the Seattle Auto Show of the Encore, I was also smitten with that as it was executed really well. If they do it right, people will cross shop with no problem. -
wow, that is pretty amazing. When I was last in Copenhagen, I was shocked at how many S class are used as taxi's and personal private cars. I asked about it and found out that not only are they heavily discounted but the gov. there allows you to write off the purchase price over a two year period of time as long as you drive 100K kilometers per year in the car. People in the business of driving others keep their auto's as diesel and get a new one every two years due to the write off and heavy discounts. To me, this has greatly diminished the S & E class versions to Fleet Whores who are no better than the Ford Crown Vic's or any other car that is fleeted out and used for many other purposes than just a high end luxury car. It would be great if there was a specific luxury model of Cadillac that was only built for fleet purposes, had auto opening and closing rear doors like the taxi's and personal private limos in Asia. I believe GM could really clean up on a model like this. It could be built off the same base platform as the CTS but have a totally different nose and rear end to clearly identify it as the fleet only model.

Independent Observations - July Car Spotting
G. David Felt replied to Camino LS6's topic in The Lounge
Purple People Eaters Rejoice, our lovely rides are out in their sunny Glory! Gotta admit I was very excited to be taking the picture and after the fact realize what was in the background. It took off out of the parking lot in a thunder of glory. -
Only a bankrupt state like California would give huge tax payer rebates to make people buy an ugly overpriced golf cart. Such a waste of tax payer resources.

The 3/4 front shot of the silver one just screams Honda Ridgeline to me.

It looks like something I would expect to see on Speed Racer and have machine guns pop out of. -
Industry News: Prices On Used Midsize Trucks Remain Strong
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
Very true and if someone actually had a mini truck like the Chevy Luv, they could clean up in a small pickup truck with a diesel and high gas mileage able to carry 1000lbs. Perfect for home do it yourself projects.- 3 replies

Interesting, never heard of this car before and it does look like a kit car but very cool. Cheers as it would be fun to drive. -
I think even the French gov is going to have a hard time not accepting cuts. It is either cut plants and jobs of the over capacity or a total loss. They will be forced to make some hard decisions and Europe will burn.

Very Cool, but is it not lighter than the camero? I would expect it to be faster since it has a bed rather than a back seat.

Dodge News: Rumorpile: Farewell Dodge Caravan?
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
That would make sense especially if they are going to build a Barracuda with a new SuperCharged Hemi + 8speed tranny. That would rock in the pony car wars. -
Dodge News: Rumorpile: Farewell Dodge Caravan?
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
Weird that from Autoweek to Autoblog to dodge forums all talk about the challenger going to the LA platform so it can get the 8 speed transmission and yet no one seems to say why it has to change to get the tranny. Is it an issue with the fire wall? An issue with the body design? I am interested also as to why it cannot use the 8 speed on the current platform? -
Agree, unlike the rest of SAAB which is expensive to fix, the 9-7x is about 95% GM based easy parts to get I would go with any of the 9-7x awd models.

This is a good read, UPS also is buying all CNG trucks next year over traditional petrol or diesel trucks. UPS to buy more Natural Gas Trucks to add to their existing 700 CNG trucks. http://www.bendbulletin.com/article/20130627/NEWS0107/306270329/ AT&T to Ryder driven to go Natural Gas as Oil continues to rise. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-04-29/at-t-to-ryder-driven-toward-natural-gas-vehicles-as-oil-soars.html Over all the industry expects 19% growth in Natural Gas Auto sales through 2020. Good time to be in Natural Gas. We should move this thread to the Alternative Fuel forum rather than the Lounge.

Hyper, I hope you in-laws will go and look at the XTS. While I know many happy DTS owners here in Seattle, I have also run into many who want American luxury but are put off by the poor quality of the older generation cars. I am hoping the XTS will rebuild the faithful in Cadillac as a stepping stone to greater things to come.
