Wow a big swing and a miss. I even knew better than that. Anyone missing the wreath then just has no sense of design or style. How can you be looking for emblems with body lines and flow like this. The only taste you have must be in your mouths. Yes one word Elmirage. Time to stop living in the past that many could care less about and break out into a new future. Time to build new cars with new identities that will create the memories as the old ones did. Great name no letters and if they do add any let it be a V. Hyper, did you not notice the V on the back of this car? It is the V edition.

Cadillac News: Cadillac Introduces The Elmiraj Coupe
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Love it, the over all design and look is great. I love the modern updated logo. I especially love that this is the V model. Best way to make it is do it V style! Interior is nice, but I feel the center console is a bit to much as it isolates the people inside the car. Over all, it will sell as is and I think the design is a home run even after reading Reg input, I have to disagree with his input.- 88 replies

Industry News: NHTSA Mandates Vehicle-Specific Recall Search

About time, this should have been done back in the 90's when the Internet started to take off. -
My research is showing that other than the SAAB 9-2x that used Subarus AWD system they also put the current AWD system from Subaru in the 6000 STE AWD.

Mercedez Benz News Hello 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class

I agree with z-06 that I hope Cadillac will let Buick fight MB with the Encore and that GM will give the Encore a step up engine and diesel. Let Cadillac fight MB on the high end.- 32 replies

Lincoln News: Lincoln Previews Black Label Line
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Lincoln
Caddy had a Black Label CTS-V Coupe. Now this could be custom, but Doug's Northwest Cadillac has a couple of the black edition V coupes. They are hot. I am going to their Caddy Owner party tomorrow so will look to snap some pictures.- 16 replies

1955 GMC Hydromatic Pickup (so close...)

Agree with Balthazar, if the underlaying frame is solid and your up for the sheetmetal patching or full replacement along with a decent amount of money that will have to be spent, then it could be an awesome project truck. My guy based on the 3 pictures is it will not be worth it as I see extensive rust on side panels, the whole thing is just so shot. But if you can get it for 300-500 it would be worth it. -

Lexus News: Rumorpile: Spilling The Beans On The Lexus RC and RC-F

I think all the auto companies are taking the easy way out rather than building passion into the auto's with real names. -
That was a staple of my high school senior year...I love old GnR...got to listen to some. Not to mention that song is one of my standard workout songs. Just gets me pumped up and flying!

Mercedez Benz News Hello 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Mercedes-Benz
OK, So again could they not come up with a better naming convention? GLA so sucks. I am already tired of the stupid letters for Cadillac and especially the moronic BMW 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 series. What about the passion! Back on topic this is an ugly car, like the brown color, but the asian eye's with silver eyebrows and the turned down mouth with a big nose just does nothing for me.- 32 replies

Didn't GM when they did own the interest that Toyota now owns use their AWD system in their own AWD products or at least design wise?

That is sooooo Truuuuuuue! I will admit that I am surprised by the Prius being right behind the BMW for this. But then again, I have come to hate the drivers of BMW and Prius around Seattle and their Self entitled attitude.

National Drivers License and Inspection?

Yea, but why bother with a passport when they could just do a single ID that is good for driving and going over the border.- 21 replies

Based on what info you have given us here and the picture, I plugged in the info into Kelly Blue Book and it came back with a low end of $7729 to a high end of $9204. I would say it is more than worth fixing the tranny and selling it yourself.

I will still have to disagree as my AWD auto's have not had the noticeable under-steer that you state. I also agree again with Drew that there is minor gain by Subaru going with a RWD model. People know Subaru as an AWD company that they want it because of that.

National Drivers License and Inspection?
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in The Lounge
So that folks who might not be up on our constitution can understand what Drew is saying: The Tenth Amendment is the last part of the Bill of Rights, and is intended to protect state sovereignty as well as (to an extent) individual rights from being usurped by the Federal government. Amendment X "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people." Translated, this means: The states have legal authority over anything not assigned to the federal government or specifically withheld from the states. Whatever powers aren't claimed by the federal or state governments are leftover for the people. US residents (both citizens and other people under US jurisdiction) are also vaguely protected by the Ninth Amendment, which essentially says you have rights beyond those mentioned in the first eight amendments (unfortunately, these have to be negotiated with various government entities). So with this said, how does the EPA fit into this then?Has the fed not already stated their control over auto's and driving? Would it not make sense to reduce the cost to tax payers at the state level and make one single driving entity that over sees a standardized driving test based on maximizing the skill for each and every American so that we have safer roads? Would it not also simplify things for the local police by having a single set of standard driving laws to enforce? Then as an ID card, this would allow a faster entrance into the country by having a single standard ID that can be quickly scanned and verified. Than a standardize safety inspection to make sure lights work, safety settings, etc. I see the concern for another inefficient agency, but then would it not be better to have one agency to deal with nation wide rather than mulitple agencies across the country?- 21 replies
