Plastic Cladding Detailer?
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
But what about the tax value? Here in washington state since we have no income tax, the state gains everything by sales tax, so with a 10% sales tax on the value of the new vehicle being offset by the value of the tradein, it can make a difference on what you end up paying. -
I'm guessing it's before they ship them. I agree, other news places that covered this story mentioned that the factory would upgrade the software before shipping to insure no dealers let one slip through that could give it a bad experiance to the customer. I think the only way you could insure a successful launch would be to flash and then ship. Dealerships seem to be 50/50 on updates to code on engines and transmissions.

In regards to the 6.0L V8, around town I get 14.5MPH in my AWD Escalade ESV, On a recent road trip to Santa Barbra, I averaged 17.5mpg with an average speed of 78mph. All depends on how you drive them, but for me it is roomy, comfortable, great view of the road ahead and I have no problem with that gas mileage.

Awesome, this would be a great upgrade for them, now if only VW would actually bring the Euro versions of the VR to the US.- 4 replies

Sounds Good, will reach out to you on our chears and Gears PM when I am ready. Question for you, what is the best way to give feedback on the site other than filling out the sales info request option for contact? Looking at new headlights for the Durango. http://www.rvinyl.com/Custom-Headlights-Dodge-Durango-1999.html Very first option is nice but the description comes right out and says "Customize your Acura with these replacement headlights."

Thanks! Yeah,we're actually updating everything but it's taking some time. We don't have a lot of photos up yet but here a few pics of an 2002 Tahoe with our smoked, precut headlight tints: http://rvinyl.tumblr.com/post/62422637505/http-www-rvinyl-com-headlight-tints-chevrolet-tah Let me know if you decide to try them out so I can give that coupon code to you guys. Very Nice, will do once I figure out what I want to do as I also need stuff for the Durango as well as the Suburban.

Vinylsmith, web site is nice, but does need updated current pictures. Looking for New Taillights for my 94 Suburban and their is no pictures of what they look like.

Drew that looks awesome, your right talk about taking years off when you have those yellowed covered headlights.

Not sure how that fits into the story line? Bad News, Your Mafia Hitman falls hard for the Lovely Lawyer.

Chrome accents on the Dash should just be banned as they reflect so baddly on the windshield and into your eyes that they are a safety concern to me. I hate them.

Japanese Suppliers Nailed With $740 Million In Fines And Prison Time
G. David Felt replied to J Reinhardt's topic in Toyota
WOW 1.6 Billion in total fines covering the 30 different parts sold to Asian and U.S. car manufacturers, including starter motors, alternators, and ignition coils. They should have to pay way more than that, double or tripple what they stole to really make this an impact. -
Plastic Cladding Detailer?
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
In that case, just use Tire Black to make any and all plastic pieces look like new along with the tires and it lasts for a few weeks. More than enough time to trade it in or sell it. -
Have to go with B rate movie, Mad Max series for me, those are just pure awesome for their time especially the very first one with his Pinto Station wagon tricked out.

Good Idea Vinylsmith, I think there are plenty of people who cannot afford much and would like to see how these entry level auto's pan out. Personally I would go with the Sonic as Drew suggests, but a comparison would be very cool. Just start with the Tech Comparison of what each has and at what cost as this alone can show you where the value is at from a pure tech list and cost stand point. Then you have to add the seat of your pants personal feeling based on actual driving / handling.

Plastic Cladding Detailer?
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
I have used all the products listed here and they all work well and seem to last the rain for a good long while before fading again. -
Welcome Vinlysmith! So are you saying the tinting film you would put on your auto glass to darken it then? What is the web site to review your products? Again, welcome aboard.

Why Did GM Shelf Pontiac and Not Buick?
G. David Felt replied to Rvinyl.com's topic in Heritage Marques
Pontiac is a nice History Note for those few versions that are collectors capable. Otherwise, Buick was a bread and butter option that fits in the family better than Pontiac and believe me plenty of us tried to have it as a niche Performance player. But history is what it is, too many labels in a market that is due for more consolidation. I believe Volvo will go away in time also. -
Chevrolet News:Introducing the 2015 Silverado HD and Sierra HD
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
Besides ground clearance, it is nice to have the full Chrome bumper on the HD. I also like the tweaks they did to the center grill. Drew, is the bed now coming standard with LineX type covering rather than just paint? Or is this an option that is being shown in the GMC truck pictures? -
Chevrolet News:Introducing the 2015 Silverado HD and Sierra HD
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
Sweet write up Drew. Have to say I really love the Look of the GMC Dually over the Chevy. Very excited to see they will have a HD Natural Gas version also. This so rocks over Ford and Dodge. -
So then my 94 Suburban with the suspension replaced with a 2.5 ton Kodiak Suspension so it rides like it is on rails, 4.25 16 Bolt Posi rear end and customer build Engine and Transmission with Jet Programable Chip qualifies for Supercar! I have to say it is a blast to take our Clover Leaf off and on ramps at over 80, no body roll, just sticks to the ground and flies
