Industry News: Eight States Sign A Pact To Increase EV Sales
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
You are seriously delusional. CNG is not delusional, the infastructure in place is wide spread and anyone with natural gas at their home or business can install a fueling appliance and gas at home or work. No need for expensive stations. If CNG was delusional then why is the train industry converting over their diesel generators to CNG and the trucking industry is moving to CNG. On top of this is the marine industry is moving to have large ships go to LNG compared to Diesel. NG is a valid fuel option. All I am asking for is if they want to give tax breaks to Electric, then also allow it for BioDiesel or CNG auto's also.- 58 replies

Industry News: Eight States Sign A Pact To Increase EV Sales
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
In bringing this back to the focus of the 8 states pushing with incentives to have people buy EV auto's, My whole point it that they should not just focus on EV but include all alternative energy auto's and let the market sort it out as to who the winner should be. I would take a CNG/Petrol 2014 Impala over a Nissan Leaf 2014 or Spark EV 2014 model. Where is my incentive for going green?- 58 replies

Industry News: Eight States Sign A Pact To Increase EV Sales

I can't imagine someone in that low of an income bracket is looking at a car that costs more than $16k or so, let alone $30k. Yet they do just like people making 75-85K a year look at the tesla. Does not mean they really can afford it, but they will look and some will buy.- 58 replies

Industry News: Eight States Sign A Pact To Increase EV Sales
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
Tesla while an outstanding car in today's society, is an exception and not the norm. Even their own polls seem to show a older, wealthy group of people buying or leasing these cars. http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/7238-Model-S-Buyers-What-s-Your-Income http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/17717-Model-S-Owner-Age http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/6998-Model-S-Reservation-Holder-Demographics-Age http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/8920-What-was-your-age-annual-income-and-what-battery-pack-are-you-getting This in comparison to the average middle income household making 45-55K a year will be looking at auto's in the 30K range.- 58 replies

Industry News: Eight States Sign A Pact To Increase EV Sales
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
Tesla is not within reach of most people Drew. Looking at the current Affordable EV's, Nissan Leaf, Spark EV, etc. People cannot go on a real road trip in these auto's. These are the auto's that local cities and counties are buying and wanting the public to buy and no one seems to be a voice of reason that while they are good products, they do not meet the needs of the mass market. The GOV is pushing a single version of what the rich have onto everyone and not really supporting equally other options such as BioDiesel or CNG where you have vehicles that can be driven long distances between fill-ups. I see so much push on Electric and a clear ignoring of alternative power options. I continue to see a wealthy electric only crowd pushing to make everyone go electric and yet while this is an additional option of choice, it ignores what I see as better options that should be equally supported.- 58 replies

What a joke, just another way to waste tax payers dollars and put more luxury golf carts on the road that cannot travel any real distance. What a way for the governments to control population movement. Makes one question their real understanding of how these auto's are produced. No one has yet to address the toxic settlement ponds from the battery production.- 58 replies

LA Auto Show: Range Rover Introduces A Stretched Version
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
SWEET! Very nice looking ride. Love the extended rear doors. This is what GMC did for their Yukon and it really makes sense to have a larger opening door. Love the added space and ease of getting in and out. -
Belated Happy B Day

Will Post more from the show as I scale them down below 3mb in size. The ELR, Dodge Durango RT AWD and Corvette were freaking hot at the show.

Awesome Update and she is a beauty. Thanks for keeping us updated and the pictures. Stay warm. -
Pontiac could be a Niche player as a special RWD Limited Production Car for GMC/Buick Dealerships. That would allow them to build a special 10-15K collectors car and make profit on it as long as it was done right. Limited Production Run of a GTO Goat with the Vertical dual Headlights, opening and closing covers like the one on the 65 Buick Riviera in Road House. Awesome movie. Awesome car he drove.

I thought in todays day of technology that we could spell clear and concise sentences. This makes no sense or you were drunk when you tried to type your response.

GM News: GM Slows Pickup Launch Due To A Supplier Issue
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
That makes sense, gives time for Ford and Ram to dump their old truck versions and bring out the new so they all can reduce or eliminate the incentives. Plus SUV's are more popular at this time of year as people look for people haulers I believe. I always see plenty of new SUV's at the start of Ski Season up on the mountain.- 1 reply

Which new Cadillac is their best looking car?
G. David Felt replied to regfootball's topic in Cadillac
For me it is the New Escalade -
Interesting, While I think Pontiac had plenty of potential, it was probably best to shrink GM down to have more focus on the brands they do have now.

Audi News: 2015 Audi A3 Starts At $30,795*
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen

Awesome potential but lots of work and money to restore it to grandeur.

New 2014 Buick Encore at the Park and Ride lot. Talked with the Man who said he had spent all year trying to get his wife to get a new car to replace their 21 year old tired auto and at the autoshow she fell in love with the encore, took it for a test drive and said OK. They actually bought it there. Was a Mocha Colored one. He said he just kept his mouth shut since she was so excited and he was just happy to finally have a reliable auto that they would be driving.

Hyundai News:Hyundai Issues A Teaser Of The 2015 Genesis
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Hyundai
So I see they have the Coupe style of a BMW/MB. Headlights of the MB, Peugeot / Aston front end. A bit of Acura I also see here. Over all handsome auto, better than past attempts and clearly a nice direction of blending the higher end auto's to give them a distinct design language. Seems they have finally grown up. Nice Job Hyundai! Does it come in CNG? -
BMW News: BMW Adds 1 to 1 To Create The 2-Series
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
Yawn, better than the 1 series, guess this is their retro acknowledgement to the original M3! Nothing New, Nothing to see, they clearly have decided to just regurgitate their old 3 series bodies as 2 series and 1 series. Very poor. -
5 Reasons Why You Should Switch to CNG!
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Alternative Fuels & Propulsion
Yes and most of this study is based on fracking from the late 90's and now many of the chemicals used are no longer used. As such, the study's are behind the actual process and protection of extracting Natural gas. On top of this, the Ring of Fire volcanoes spew out more toxic waste and green house gas than does fracking so do we find a way to extinguish the planet? Nothing is perfect but at the reduced Green house gas creation and reduced toxic waste to the land, CNG is still a better way to go than petro. We have the worlds largest reserves and need a stepping stone towards a better life. I believe CNG is that stepping stone and for those that do not have fast fill yet around their house, that is why they have home Time Fill appliances so you can refuel your auto over night. Same MPG More Torque More HP 130 Octane Only 1/3 Green house gas production Less pollution drilling gas than Oil. Makes sense for America to get off Oil, go synthetic lubrication with CNG for cleaner, lower cost fueling. -

You can do better than that, Your Intrepid would run so much better on CNG!
