  1. i think at some point the badges pay for themselves. like the Durango has already paid/paved the way for the aspen so to actually sell it won't cost as much as developing an entirely new vehicle. Even though Durango sales are so poor. I think the Aspen will sell ok. Especially if it is embraced by urban buyers like the 300 was. The new Escalade could be polarizing. But I think smaller utes/crossovers are still a better idea but folks won't buy minivans for the seven seats. Strange.

    Lotus Europa S

i like them because they have the two small lamps in each and the dark surrounding color. I wouldn't turn it down ;)

I don't mean to spam or anything guys but again when i find something hot I just want to share and this is hot. http://www.mph-online.com/web/prtranslated/00296
  4. I think it will aim at the same segment that buys 300Cs. Those folks aren't buying a Pacifica (no one is right?). And the Durango is just horribly proportioned and styled. I don't think Jeep really resonates as a elegant vehicle either. i think Chrysler is trying to recapture that upscale feel even if it is all perception.
  5. that rendering came from Priddy with the spy shots. we don't run renderings because they're usually inaccurate in some way. I think the C Class will be much better looking anyway.
  6. I know a lot of people across the internet were bummed that we had to have the leaked Feb cover removed (it had the embargoed Challenger on it) so to make it up to Chrysler fans (GM fans will have to wait I guess ) here are shots of the new Aspen. chrysler's version of the Durango. Just what the company needed. http://www.mph-online.com/web/spyphotos/0028
  7. I still think this will be a hot sedan. If DCX could ever figure out the reliability problem they'd be golden. Their new designs, ML, CLS, SLK, R Class even are terrific.
  8. This is going to be hot! http://www.mph-online.com/web/spyphotos/0027 Dave
  9. I meant more the SUVs But the shortages aren't all from demand as I understand it. I'm not won over by that trio yet. The mazda 6 is still a better car! and it's sales are dropping. Can't wait to drive the mazdaspeed 6 that just got dropped off.
  10. i see it more as a grandma, we just moved to florida, car. (and I'm from florida so don't complain) I'm very surprised Chrysler is going through with a sebring. But maybe if they keep a sedan at a fusion size FWD, the larger 300C RWD then Dodge will keep the small cars, caliber. And not bring in a Sebring clone. Thoughts? I'd like to see one company stop with the badge engineering. And I think the bad sales of Lincoln mercury rebadge jobs might force Ford to stop the badge madness.
  11. If anyone's interested. http://www.mph-online.com/web/spyphotos/0026
  12. We didn't know it had leaked and are trying to contain it. But if you pick up this months issue (it just came out) you get a very nice shot of Carmella DeCesare, playmate of the year 2004 and Jeff garcia's girlfriend. Oh and the new Ford GTX1, our top ten cars of the year etc. http://www.mph-online.com/mag/bettys/0012
  13. As soon as I have GM sports car concept you'll have gm sports car concept. thanks for taking that down.
  14. hey josh, guys can you take that picture down. It was wrongly leaked out there. that's our feb cover. out in jan (after the auto show). I know it's everywhere now but it would be nice if you took it down. thanks. we really appreciate it. Dave
  15. It seems NBC hasn't made money on their deal with NASCAR and are pulling out. Fox, ABC/ESPN and TNT fill the void. Pretty pictures and more info at the link. http://www.mph-online.com/web/news/00204
  16. new pics and confirmation the S8 is coming to the US this fall. http://www.mph-online.com/web/prtranslated/00277
  17. New and close up spy shots of the new 3 series convertible with 3-piece hardtop. Wonder how much this sucker will cost. http://www.mph-online.com/web/spyphotos/0025
  18. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=3437 oops Harleyearl beat me to it. DT
  19. Eegads! Could Buick have picked a more overexposed, less interesting person to promote the new Lucerne? Shoot. They should've just bought more billboards with Tiger in the darn thing. http://www.mph-online.com/web/prtranslated/00271 Dave
  20. Looks like the new Rav4 and Santa Fe will be huge sellers once again. I was totally impressed with the RAV4 at SEMA. It puts the Equinox/torrent/vue batch to shame. Here are live shots of the new Santa Fe. Just unveiled in Korea. http://web.mph-online.com/web/news/00190 I'm not as big a fan of Hyundai products but their designs don't offend.
  21. I've got to say after a week in the Solstice more money spent on this platform would be advisable. If the ride height was higher, the body a tad bigger and the engine completely replaced, the camaro on kappa would be amazing. The solstice handles everything so well and the chassis is by far the best part. There's just a lot of ergonomic issues with the Solstice you'd have to answer in a high volume model like a camaro. And upgrade many of the bin parts (everything but the stereo and a/c controls please). If they can keep a v6 under $20 and the V8 at $25 like the mustang and it has some decent looks, a la the solstice, it would kill. And I'm not a GM guy. Dave
  22. and did you see/hear the latest solstice video? http://www.mph-online.com/blogs
  23. yeah it's pretty bad. The only thing that looked good were the logos on the grill and wheels.
  24. I thought autoweek or somebody said the camaro/new coupe was confirmed to be a stretched kappa? no? I thought Jalopnik had it. DT
  25. http://www.mph-online.com/web/news/00162 More pics just for you guys. DT
