  2. The center stack is completely different and the shape of the dash is different from the Yukon. but the wheel is identical with a different emblem. the buttons on the doors the center armrest etc. are bin parts. Looking closely now it is the same center stack controls as the STS but there is a nice flow from the stack to the center armrest. Why they leave the shifter on the column is beyond me.
  3. We'll have official photos tonight at midnight. In person debut is friday in Florida. The interior is almost identical to the yukon, just with a cadillac steering wheel and slightly altered center stack and vents. doors, armrest, etc are the same. The grill looks much different with the chrome treatment. Don't know if it'll be a hit with the bling crowd though. Otherwise it looks a lot like a DTS SUV.
  4. they sure do. interesting. Looks better blacked out ;) I'll reserve final judgement til I see in person.
  5. well I don't want to talk about it too much cause that's annoying but it will be polarizing. much more so than any of the previous yukon et al revamps.
  6. Hey guys. We posted the first video Q&A with the G6. http://www.mph-online.com/blogs Let me know what you think. And if you have any questions you want answered just drop a line. Dave
  7. No that's not the new Escalade. If you saw the new Escalade grill you would've run in horror screaming. It's that bad. you have to wait til tomorrow at midnight.
  8. Hey guys we're doing a new feature on mph where readers can write in and ask questions about the test car and we go out and answer them...with video. Hopefully it will be very cool. this week's test vehicle is the new G6 GTP Coupe. http://www.mph-online.com/blogs/0059 We'd love to hear what you think. Dave
  9. It has now been fixed on the GM site "The first 2006 Buick Lucerne sedans await delivery to dealerships from the General Motors Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant in Hamtramck, Michigan Thursday, November 3, 2005. The launch of the new Buick Lucerne was expedited by nearly 50 Detroit-area Buick dealers who climbed in and drove the vehicles to their own dealerships. The Detroit area is Buick's largest market and nationally dealers have been ordering Buick's new luxury sedan in record numbers. (General Motors/Tom Pidgeon)." But that sounds like a logical explanation of confusing the numbers though.
  10. the Passat was actually much better looking in person and I think blew the Jetta away. But the jetta has 550 hp and the passat 575? both insane figures. I hope they build them just so i can get a test drive or two. the touareg is pointless in my opinion considering there's already a cayenne. But yes these are Audi RS4 fighters. I think VW could sell both sedans with just the aero/wheel package and sell a ton.
  11. I'm not a GM basher at all. In fact I think their new slate of vehicles are a huge leap in quality and the Z06 is by far the fastest car I've ever driven. However, you have to love this item from my site. i was just surfing the GM press site for new stories and came across it. Hilarious. In a sad way. http://www.mph-online.com/web/prtranslated/00225 If you want a positive Gm story http://www.mph-online.com/web/news/00121 Enjoy both. Dave
  12. Josh, How come you didn't put up the other HHR tuners from year one, unique performance etc? Dave oh and knightfan it starts this tuesday with embargos lifting last night (GM), tonight, tomorrow and tuesday. Oh and Jay leno's ride wasn't in this batch but he'll have a chevy to show off. circa 1932.
  13. yes my long non-compete with the evil WIN empire is over next week. I actually love the guys at Autoblog but still 6 months is a long time not to talk cars. Sheesh. Anyway good job posting all these. GM by far is overloading SEMA with vehicles. But I think Ford's GTX1 will totally steal the show. That will be first thing Tuesday. Keep up the good work here. I wish our forums were this good ;)
  14. We have a ton at mph-online www.mph-online.com I'm heading out to SEMA Monday and will be posting mucho photos and reports. Feel free to link to any of them here.
