  5. sorry but I gotta do it, GM should really pull the plug on this ad.
  6. its close minded to not by a product of a company who's ad has offended you regarding something very serious like suicide? not sure of the exact Tundra commercial your referring too, but I doubt it has anything to do with the death of somebody you loved very dearly
  7. whats funny is I could the same thing about close minded and dumb about a number of comments I've read here too. No its not GM'S fault people commit suicide, but it is GM's fault for being insensitive to those who have lost people to suicide. How is it closeminded or dumb for people to let GM know that, through talk and action (ie. not purchasing their product).? That being said, while I see nothing wrong in letting GM know how they found the ad insensitive, I don't think a federal f@#kin case should be made about it either. Part of anti-suicide education is that its not an option when things are down in the dumps (ie. you've been laid off/can't hold a job, which, gasp, this ad makes does the opposite of, dream sequence or not. nor does it get laid off, look for new jobs, etc. Like you said, if it were a person, you'd find the ad inappropriate. Well, the robot in this ad has been humanized through those actions, and some people, who have been affected by suicide and are therefore more sensitive to it, do find it inappropriate.
  8. wasn't too keen on the way GM did the ad and can understand why people are upset. that being said, i wasn't gonna whine about it either
  9. There is, GLAAD is pissed at the snickers commercial. ya know what, if they pulled every commercial that offended anybody, there wouldn't be anything on tv

  13. They lucked out on one set of what some would consider ugly designs working (LX's), and have taken off running with them
  14. depends on how the public takes to it. from opinions here, it sounds like it'll stay witht he current design though, which I wouldn't mind one bit 1 GT in black with 6spd please, with base tails (red, not euros)
  15. hope they fix that
  16. Aussie fuel economy numbers say its about 14.4 L/100km (combined)
  17. f@#k my 45 commute across TO, if I can live with a 5spd in my $h!-fire, I can deal with a 6 speed in that $h!-kicker Little dissapointed in the engine though. That thing is gonna chug fuel like nobody's business, espeically at almost 4000lbs. An engine with DOD or whatever its called would have been nice
  18. its been stated in this thread it was designed with North America in mind, so it should pass out crash tests and should be made available up here. Even if it doesn't come up here, if it drives half as good as it look, I won't care, I'll grey market it if I have too.
  19. little late for that one
  20. i'll reserve judgment till i see it in person, but my my initial impression is nice, but not crazy for the hood scoops, the spoiler and euro style taillights, really hate those taillights. going simply by what i see here, I think i'll wait for the G8 v2
