  1. I know, but it takes about 10 minutes in between each try, so it might take a while.
  2. so close, 11412
  3. thegriffon still beat me though, I only got 8212.
  4. I found steroid yeti, and my penguin has been bouncing for about 15 minutes now.
  5. I read somewhere that the Viper was faster off the line because they couldn't get traction in the Z06. Dont remember where though.
  6. I mean that GM has so many brands, with each being just mid level with a few more options, and that just wont cut it now with 25% marketshare. How many steps can GM have between Cadillac and Chevy? All the brands in the middle a being squeezed, and they need more than just being an uplevel Chevy to sell. GM needs to have cars that appeal to different people than a Chevy would, and not just based on name. I dont mean you like Pontiac so you would rather have a Pontiac Malibu than a Chevy Malibu. I mean for people that aren't attached to either name, for one to appeal to their tastes, and the other doesn't. I like Pontiac more, but I dont want the reason I like the car more to be because it says Pontiac. Chevy IS the average car brand now. Pontiac and Buick can not afford to be average cars, and they need to have clear identities, and appeal to specific buyers.
  7. Then where do Buick, Saturn, and Saab go? That might have been fine in the 60s when GM had 55% marketshare, but now GM has 25%, and there are dozens of new brands in the US.
  8. Would that make Ferrari and Porsche undesirable? Higher transaction prices are desirable because thats how GM makes money. GM needs cars with higher margins, like the SUVs and trucks, especially if the SUV market keeps declining. And why cant we have a Tempest sedan and coupe with a 5.3L, while the GTO is coupe only and gets the 6.0L, or 6.2L?
  9. Avg price of the Charger is $29000. That alone makes it worth looking into a RWD G6. And if it can bring up transaction prices to that level, I dont think adding AWD would be that big of a problem. And if its shared with the GTO, it will be able to handle a V8, then we could have a RWD G6 sedan with a V8 also.
  10. Thats what the Aura is for
  11. Read it again. Capacity doesnt equal sales. GM will not lose sales, only trim capacity to what it should be for GM's sales.
  12. I must be really picky, but I have only seen a handful of butts that I think look good so far. C6, SKY, Solstice, GTOs, and Fieros have to be my favorites though.
  13. Is that a fact?
  14. We need to get more votes. I doubt GM will take a poll with 10 votes seriously. But it does seem as everyone wants the G6 to be RWD. Who cares that it was only on 9 votes :P
  15. Sky GTO/Corvette 300C Astra GTC, does that count even though I cant buy one here? As for the rest, I dont care about them.
  16. I'd prefer not to go out and test drive any 4cyl, domestic or import. I doubt they will have the 280ft lbs of torque my Grand Prix has. GMs Quad 4 did feel torquey in my 97 Grand Am though.
  17. Another reason why I think the G6/Tempest needs to go RWD, is to help spread the costs for the Camaro and GTO. That, and we cant have either a Camaro or a GTO sedan. Could it also be used for the BLS instead of Epsilon? The GTO is to expensive as a stand alone model, probably both for GM, and for consumers. Even if the RWD G6 doesnt meet the numbers the currect G6 makes, which would probably offset as soon as the Aura is on sale, they will probably sell with a better margin as long as GM gets the styling right. I think the G6 will be canabalized by the Aura once its released anyway, so even comparing a RWD G6 to the current G6 sales doesnt make sense either, because even the current G6 wont make that same level of sales when competing with the Aura. Also, I dont think a RWD G6 would be canabalized by the Aura like the current G6 will. I hope this gains alot of support within GM
  18. You ever hear about short term losses for long term profit? Wagoner is just doing what every other CEO should have done a long time ago.
  19. Does the 2.8 have turbo lag? I thought I read that there was 90% of its peak torque at 1800 rpm.
  20. And Buickman, you said you made your return to greatness public because you want to help GM right? Do you think badmouthing GMs top level execs will ever get your plan implemented? Do you think it will make them take you seriously? How about going around the country and helping other dealerships grow their business. Thats what you do, your a salesman, not a CEO. Dont pretend you know everything about running a multinational, multi-billion dollar corporation because you increased your sales at 2 dealerships. Then, maybe some people here might take you seriously.
  21. Things arent always what they appear to be on the surface. But just like your return to greatness, your still focused on the surface.
  22. The weird part is, I was just thinking about something like that the other day. I never knew they were out there developing it. I think its a good idea. Who wants to sit at a 30 degree angle to watch tv anytime there is more then 3 people watching it? Not me. This solves that problem
  23. GM will never return to greatness unless they get their costs in line. I mean costs of building their cars, not marketing them. GM needs to operate as one company throughout the world, and not separate entities in each country, with separate platforms for each. That is step one for GM returning to greatness. GM needs money to operate. If GM sells more cars, they might be making more money, but that still would be less money than any of their competitors would be making with the same sales, and it wouldn't fix GMs real problems. Unless this plan will make the masses buy Malibus at $30,000 each, it will not solve GMs problems.
  24. Sorry but that tells nothing about the cars at all. You cant look at a sheet of paper and know which is the better car. What would make someone pick the LaCrosse over an Accord? Or over a 300? Or over a 500? I know, they are over 65 and it have been loyal to Buick forever. Thats the only reason I can think of.
  25. So true. GM needs to find out why people buy Accords and Camrys. I bet the reason is not price. GM needs to make cars that people want to buy because of the car, not because of the price.
