  1. Where could someone get an Eos?
  2. That's kind of what I was thinking. The American automakers need to find a way to make it cool to own an American car again. Take everything that made American cars great in the past(power and great styling), and bring it back, while using the ride dynamics of a European car, and being refined like a Japanese car.
  3. I'm not saying I disagree. Though GM needs to find a way to sell the Impala in volume off Zeta, while still being able to sell the Camaro off Zeta as well. Might as well make a wagon off Zeta and call it the Nomad. Why not add an additional 75-100k off an already shared platform? And your point about the Mustang name, couldn't that be used for the Camry as well? Meaning no matter how good GM makes the Malibu, it will never touch the Camry sales? Just like the Accord can't beat the Camry in sales, even though it has been a better car. Hardly a reason to just give up.
  4. I only read the first few pages, but I think I would agree with the majority there. I dont want a HO V6. I want a V8, and I'm not going to pay $30,000 or more, meaning I want a midlevel V8, like the 5.3L. I'll give up a few HP and MPG to get a V8 if I have to. I already have a HO V6, I have a 280hp 3.8 SC, and I'd take a V8 over it anyday. When it gets to the mid $30s for price, I'll just save a little longer and get a Corvette instead. I buy a car on emotion, not on how practical it is. So count me out until GM gets it right.
  5. 192,000 Mustang sold. Should I name how many sedans that car sold more than?
  6. I've never considered myself a Camaro guy, the only ones I would consider buying is one from the 60s, but new Camaro is really tempting me. I could see myself buying that car, provided they keep the weight down(less than 3500lbs in V8 trim), and keep the price reasonable.
  7. v8, targa top, 6 speed manual, no frame around the windows on the doors, ventilated seats(I live in AZ) HUD, and wide rear tires. I think I'd buy one if it had all that.
  8. Headers do add quite a bit of power, and are supposed to add about 18hp to the wheels on the SC 3.8, so I have no reason to doubt the 25hp to the wheels on the LS1. There are dyno sheets for before and after headers on a Grand Prix on thrashercharged.com
  9. Base gets the 2.2, and the GT gets the 2.4. Agree with above, completely unnecessary car.
  10. True, and actually it wouldn't have had to be delayed either, since the platform was designed from scratch anyway. If it was designed more flexible from the beginning, we could have had the more flexible kappa released at the same time the current kappa was released.
  11. Don't worry, the vast majority here still supports you, even if a few may question your knowledge.
  12. So they were talking about the previous Z06 I'm guessing? Either that, or if it was an 07 Z06 it needed a better driver. The Z06 has comparible hp, but is dragging around 300lbs less. Just look at the videos we have floating around here. The Lambo got a good jump on the Z06, but was was still no match for the Vette.
  13. I think its been proven that he knows his stuff. We may not always agree with him, but is that enough of a reason for your question?
  14. Yes, but GM needs to get rid of those bean counters who actually end up costing GM more in the end. GM is not there yet, but hopefully that is where they are going.
  15. no, I never said $3 was fair. At $3 an hour nobody would apply, so the employer would need to increase their wages wouldn't they? If they had millions of people wanting to work for them at $3 an hour, then yes, it would be fair. Thats the way "fair wages" is determined.
  16. Define "fair wage." Is that $28 an hour for a janitor, and $100,000 a year for a forklift operator? Fair is determined by the market. They are losing their jobs because they are getting paid more than fair wages, simple as that.
  17. I'm kind of in between on this. The reason I like GM is because of cars like the Corvette, GTO, Sky/Solstice, the next Camaro etc, cars that some think GM shouldn't waste time on. But then again I want GM to succeed and make money, so I want them to make amazing FWD midsize sedans, even though it is not something I would ever buy. But I guess that means the right way for GM, would be to start making money by building a "better camry", and making a profit again, then worrying about the niche cars later. I think kappa would have been better off if GM would have made it able to support a full line of cars, instead of just 2 seat roadsters, but I'm sure Lutz had to go through hell just to get that approved. If kappa II gets approved as a result of it though, I wouldn't say it was a failure.
  18. So then the question remains, would the money be better spent on dual clutch autos, or on 7-8 gears? I just pray they don't come up with a silly idea for a 7 or 8 speed manual.
  19. I wish GM would make that car, and sell it for around $18,000. I wouldn't mind a 3.6L version at around 22-23k either.
  20. Was the first gen Prius a waste? We know Toyota lost money on them. But then again, Toyota has money to waste.
  21. 0, but I'm only 21. I would rather save for a few years and buy a car cash than to have to pay 400+ per month. I may buy a Sky redline in a few years, depending on how much I am able to save by then.
  22. LS7 97 Grand Am for me. I just need to buy a transmission, and cut out a tunnel for the driveshaft, a rear end, to stiffen the body, and completely redo the suspension. Piece of cake I actually do want to do that, it sounds like an interesting project, and would be one of a kind.
  23. It's great for someone who likes 2 seaters :AH-HA_wink:
  24. We can only hope. It sure beats the inconsistant lineup they have now.
