  1. This should be renamed to: The death of GM operating as 20 different companies and doing everything wrong. GM should be integrated as one company worldwide, with Holden, Opel, and GM NA all sharing resources to benefit the company. Pontiac needs RWD cars, Holden already has them. It would be insane to just let Pontiac build their own from scratch, just like it was insane to do for Saturn 20 years ago. Saturn getting Opels is the smart thing to do.
  2. Buick Enclave Cadillac STS-V Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GMC Acadia Pontiac G8 GT Saab 9-3 Aero SportCombi Saturn Sky Redline
  3. I was just messing around with the edmunds website one day, and it lets you sort the cars by the ratings they give. So I did. I'm still trying to figure out why anyone in their right mind would give the Camry a higher rating than the other cars on that list.
  4. How much did the lease end up being on the CTS?
  5. You sell it because it brings in revenue, lowers your cost to produce them, and increases output at the plant producing them. GM already stated they will have to eat some of the cost of the hybrid drivetrain. If they can sell it to other automakers, they may not have to. If they sell it to other automakers at a premium, it may actually subsidize the hybrid systems GM puts in its own vehicles. If it costs GM $5,000 to put it in the Tahoe, but it selling it to Ford for lets say $8,000, that puts GM at a $3,000 cost advantage. It sounds like it's win-win for both GM and Ford. Ford could choose to develop their own system, but it would take years to develop, and probably wouldn't be any cheaper.
  6. Here's some Toyota kool-aid from Edmunds.com The Camry is the second highest rated sedan, and the only car in the top 10 priced under $50,000. 9. My 97 Grand Am that had crank windows had auto headlights. How can some luxury cars not have it 10 years later?
  10. Especially with a manual trans. I always drive with my left hand on the steering wheel, and my right hand is used for everything else. The only dissappointment with my GTO is that it doesn't have power door locks, which should be on the console as well.
  11. Why doesn't GM use the 2.0L DI turbo from the HHR SS? More hp/torque, and better gas mileage than the 3.6L.
  12. There were 327 Chevelles outrunning big block Chevelles as well. Those small blocks loved to rev. My dad has taken his 327s up to 7000rpms, while the big blocks usually wont rev past 5500rpms.
  13. If it is a false ad, then I agree, it is spam. If it is correct, then I don't beleive it is. I have driven by that proving grounds a few times, it is part of GM. I have talked to a few people who worked there.
  14. Ok I got it. We are GM enthusiasts, but don't want GM putting postings here for anyone to work at GM.
  15. Whats the difference between posting it here, instead of in a newspaper or on monster.com?
  16. I've owned 5 Pontiacs in the past 4 years. The GTO by far, has the best interior lighting. Easier to read, easier on your eyes at night, and just looks a whole lot better. I think some people just don't like change because they have to stick with what they know, until they try something else, and realize there's better things out there than what they cling to. I was one of them. A year ago I would have said the same thing about keeping the red interior lighting.
  17. GTO is green, and it's so much nicer than any of my previous Pontiacs. The G8 will probably be similar to the GTO. GM should have a dial which changes the color.
  18. I don't like the Pontiac one too much. I would support switching Pontiac away from the red lighting.
  19. I remember saying from the beginning that the Sky looked better, and the front of the Solstice looked like a beaver.
  20. I agree. And that picture really reminds me of a beaver. I'll take the Sky anyday over a Solstice.
  21. That would be the most beautiful car to come from Pontiac in a very, very long time, possibly even the best looking Pontiac ever, with the 67 GTO coming in close second.
  22. C&D did the 1/4 mile in 12.4 with the new 6.3L Corvette, which wasn't the Z06. The Viper will only be faster for a little while. It wont stand a chance against the Blue Devil, since it will be under 3000lbs with 650+hp.
