  1. I'm ok with the colors, I only want red, black, blue or orange anyway. As long as the manual is released shortly after launch it sounds like a winner to me
  2. Well considering I don't have an inflated pay/pension based on market conditions that are making my employer uncompetitive, I doubt that.
  3. Auto only? That is a big disappointment. So much for having a cheaper alternative to the 5 series.
  4. I was getting Gamma confused with Delta. Maybe the G5 will be dropped, and G6 moved to Alpha?
  5. I'm thinking its going to be Gamma Cobalt, and Alpha G5.
  6. The only thing that can support this lawsuit, is the collaboration between companies to inflate prices, or price fixing. Otherwise, a company has the right to charge whatever they feel like charging, and you have the right to not buy it.
  7. When will we get the fuel economy ratings? That will be the deciding factor if having just the 1.8L was a good choice or not.
  8. Your not allowed to criticize Chrysler on a GM fan site!! Are you crazy?
  9. Oh wait, nevermind. They do take the initiative to better themselves, at GM's expense.
  10. Well you are just proving what I think. GM is offering jobs, at a premium pay compared to everything else offered in the area, but GM still doesn't give enough? By your example, GM took these people from eating 3 times a week, to making $60k+ per year with no education. Yet they are still bullying GM into giving more and more. Unions were put in place many, many years ago. Before there were federal laws protecting workers. Well guess what, there are now federal laws protecting workers. So why is the Union still needed? The only purpose they serve today, is to make the host company uncompetitive, therefore running the only high paying jobs in that area into the ground. Last time I checked, GM was a company in business to make money, not a welfare office that should be giving handouts to people who don't take the initiative to better themselves.
  11. I don't think manufacturing jobs leaving would affect me too much. If it allowed GM to build better cars as a result, that would affect me though. It would also affect all the people selling GM cars, because they could sell more of them. If there's nothing else around, then be happy with what you have. Computers, electronics, and robots have replaced a lot of workers. Yet somehow, unemployment seems likes it is at a pretty good level. How is that possible?
  12. If the jobs suck so bad, why don't they just find a new job, and let workers in China deal with it?
  13. That's Bob's position. He was put their by Rick, because he is good at that position. It's not the CEO's job to do everything, it's his job to put the right people in the right places for them to do everything.
  14. My thoughts exactly. The rich did not force the middle class into debt, they did that on their own, while trying to be like the rich. What most don't know, is that a lot of people who became rich, sacrificed a lot to become rich, driving a cheap paid off car for 10+ years, living in a small house etc. and putting all their money into investments. If your broke, it's probably because you keep blaming someone else(like the rich, or the company you work for). The same applies to the UAW. Their numbers are decreasing, and they have less and less job security as time goes by. But as always, it's GM, Ford, or Chrysler's fault. The workers always want more, and they have extorted their host company for so long, that they came to expect more and more, which is probably why they feel entitled to more, while continually doing less. The only way to get more, is to create more value to the company you work for. If your worth more, you will get more, it's simple economics.
  15. The middle class is in trouble because they keep spending, and putting themselves in debt. Who's fault is that? Do they need 2500-3000 sq/ft houses, and 2 new cars every 3 years? I do the same thing, and I have no one to blame but myself.
  16. I didn't think this thread had anything to do with management. I thought the title said "Who's Side Are You On? UAW Strike 07" That's like saying the guy you work with is lazy and doesn't do much, so your going to be lazy and not do much either.
  17. A suicide protester? Who wants to volunteer to be sacraficed to bring more negative publicity to the UAW?
  18. All the more reason for Holden to build the Torana and send it here as a Pontiac. 2.0L turbo and 3.6L DI would work perfectly.
  19. Because the G6 is lame for a performance sedan/coupe, and the new Malibu and Aura are better cars. Pontiac doesn't need to compete with them.
  20. That's what I was thinking. If those front wheels are 20s, then those brakes have to be at least 16 inches.
  21. We finally agree on something
  22. I'm hoping the G6 gets killed, and we get an alpha based Pontiac instead.
  23. Don't blame us, blame GM for ripping off Bugs Bunny. I hope this car fails miserably just to show GM people don't want these lame, ugly, riced out cars.
  24. As much as I like to make fun of Dodge, I would still take a Hemi Charger over an Impala SS. At least until the Zeta Impala comes out.
  25. Just the fact that Toyota is downplaying the Volt technology years before it is released is proof enough for me.
