  1. Since you wanna play, it's a 26 gal. tank. It's about $.30 more here in AZ for premium even at Shell. $7.80 at a $.30 premium per 26 gal. Sorry I was a $1.80 off LOL!!
  2. Let me make it clearer since you didn't comprehend. GM "is woke" in the fact that they are listening to their customers more which is why they are making the quick and early changes to their full-size truck lineup and adding to or updating their SUV/CUV lineup as well. In the past you had to practically beat your head against the front glass at the Ren Cen. to get their attention. Ford and Chrysler are in the same boat. Just like Balth also explained above, "people were asking for that loudly & Chevy did it." It's a good thing.
  3. Yep. I don't mind the 5 to 6 bucks extra per tank 60 or 65 bucks to fill up not a huge deal and it does make a difference in performance.
  4. Let's all not forget the greedy UAW strike for 40 days didn't help the General in sales, only helped it's crosstown rival FoMoCo and FCA-PSA with their contract negotiations. I prefer the front-end and taillights of the new Sierra in AT4 guise with the power of the 6.2L over the Silverado, but I've driven a comparable 2019 6.2L 10 spd Silverado LTZ at my current Chevy dealer and it's a pretty impressive all around ride minus some needed interior trim work, and late 2020's should be a whole new ballgame with the interior. GM seems woke and are updating the interior trim for 2021 MY higher end models which will probably be out in 6 or 7 months and the 6.2L/10 spd. is now offered in 2020 LT and LT Trailboss models which will all help with sales. All new 2021 Full-size SUV's from all 3 GM brands using the new chassis will be out in probably the same time and definitely by September to hold on as the sales leader by a large margin. It's interesting because I sat in a Ram Laramie Longhorn at the Phoenix IAS and didn't see anything to get excited about, I thought everything looked and felt kinda cheap, the faux woodgrain and faux leather on dash and center console with plastic wax feeling stitching were in your face and seemed overdone, it didn't look all that good in person so I don't see what all the hype is about. The huge touchscreen was too much, fingerprints and dust would drive me nuts too as my meticulous ways would be in overdrive haha. I do think GM needs a slightly larger touchscreen with the new interior layout, but nothing Tesla like or extreme. I also have to say WTH is with the huge bell housing bulge on the passenger side footwell of the Ram?! You only have literally 6 or 8 inches of foot room all to the right. ?
  5. Interior looks decent, but that's about it. That new Genesis cheese grater grille is so fugly.
  6. Nice looking ride, but for the money they are going to ask for it will need much more than the 250 mi. the concept has. Needs at least the 300 mi. range that new BEV's strive for. 96 kWh battery pack is not good enough for high-end Audi money.
  7. Great deal for sure and super low miles. Hopefully she keeps going for ya. I'd definitely buy the E.W. if you keep it.
  8. Damn... Was just going to say hopefully you bought the extended warranty. Over Engineered German Engineering
  9. Oh for sure any engine can be handbuilt and many LS/LT's have been and still are, but my point is that the Blackwing is exclusive to Cadillac so they picked a 4.2TT DOHC to be that engine. I think it's pretty cool that GM at one point decided to do that for Cadillac and if the top brass bean counters had their way it never would have happened. Good luck with the Audi, like you said no problems (yet). My Dad's wife had an A6 Quattro with the 3.2L that had timing gears and chain guides fail at 52k mi., it was babied and regularly serviced at the dealer. When it came to covering it just past the warranty Audi wasn't there until legal action was pushed on them that they finally agreed to cover the parts. It's a known issue with Audi as well.
  10. I love the 6.2L LS/LT engines and when supercharged they're a beast, in a good way. It's size is just right with a perfect balance of high and low end power and sounds awesome at idle and at red-line. The LS based engines really are an all around great powerplant. The new LT4 or LT5 would be awesome in the new Escalade.
  11. I was speaking in terms of higher quality by having a set of human eyes on the build other than depending on robots for the most part. When someone is looking at buying a $100k+ car it's nice to know the manufacturer has taken more time to hand-build the engine, that's a fact. Most people including myself understand that, and some people don't. I know all engines today have high tolerances and I was speaking on the unique design of the "Hot V" setup and I never stated that it's better than an LS/LT SBC V8. The pushrod LS/LT smallblock GM engines are some of the best out there and I wasn't shunning nor am I ashamed of them as I have an LS1 in my C5 Corvette, it's a very well built powerplant and I get 30-32 mpg cruising on the hwy. Power/weight ratio and a very low Coefficient of drag at .29 is in my favor of course.
  12. Dude, Star Wars IX is pretty good. Even my Dad and one brother in law who are not Star Wars fans thought it was pretty good. 9 of my family members and myself went to see it in theater the day after Christmas. Good times!! Poor old girl seen better days.
  13. I didn't say it didn't have any turbo lag, I stated, "didn't seem to have much", like you just stated just in another way, "Not a heck of a lot". "Plateaus from 1,500 to 5,100" I wouldn't say "plateaus" If you saw it run on a dyno it would be a wide arching torque band. It's not BS, because it makes a pretty big difference with a high end luxury sedan like the CT6-V having a special serial number to each Blackwing built and with the very tight tolerances of modern engines today especially being a high performance DOHC "Hot V TT" like the Blackwing V8 it's a must. It's also exclusive to Cadillac and being a company as large as GM that's saying a lot. Hopefully it stays around as a high-end option in the new Escalade-V.
  14. Yeah, like one strange thing here or there that GM engineering tends to miss at the last second and it makes it through the final inspection. Like everything is 98% awesome and there's the one thing that has you scratching your head like, WTF were they thinking here?! LOL!!
  15. The CT6-V I drove didn't seem to have much turbo lag at all, but every car has it's own "personality" too. Although the GM LS/LT OHV V8 engines are hard to beat and pretty bullet proof, the point of the Blackwing engine is that it is hand-built and exclusively a Cadillac engine. It will never be offered in any other GM make and I'm told they may still offer it in the upcoming top of the line Escalade Platinum and/or an Escalade V. I actually think the NA 3.6L V6 is still a viable offering being that many people don't want a 4 cylinder under the hood, turbo or not, but like you stated they don't want or need a V8 either, so there's still a need for the V6 for the entry Luxury and middle Premium Luxury trim buyers. The 3.0TT V6 that I've driven as well is another good option between the less expensive NA 3.6L and the Blackwing. GM built the 2.7T I4 exclusively to be a truck motor for the new Silverado and Sierra. They could probably re-tune it for luxury car use, but I find it hard to believe Cadillac would want or need to use it. The newer 4 cylinder engines have gotten better, but they still have that course grainy sound and feel that screams econo car. I'm told they sell very few of the 2.0T over the 3.6L and 3.0TT here in the U.S. and they tried to offer the 2.0 I4 PHEV that didn't sell well at all here and it had the same 335hp as the 3.6L and obviously more torque output with the Hybrid setup.
  16. Hmm, I didn't sit in the backseat of the CT6-V Blackwing I drove. I've sat in others and don't remember the trim around the screens. I do remember this V interior had polished aluminum trim where there was any shiny trim, real carbon fiber and smooth and suede leather everywhere, very little plastic anywhere. I think it's a steal for $100K when competitive M5's or 7 Series or even MB AMG's are around 40-50 grand more.
  17. Yeah, she's a tight fit. Good thing the turbski's are in the V with Hot V config. You go for a spin?! ????
  18. Very cool story olds. I totally agree that many of these cars even if rare get used up and found in a barn because the owner didn't have the green backs or heart to move her to the junk yard, or they are stored as garage queens to later be placed in a car museum...or Jay Leno's Garage. ? "Time is Money" is actually an abbreviated quote I follow. The full quote is: “Time is money, and when you waste time you waste money and success you can have; if you just overcome the temptation to be distracted. Don't waste time, be productive, and success will be one step closer.” PS. How dare you call the Corvette or Ferrari an appliance!
  19. Can't save 'em all, but too bad the owners (how ever many there may have been) let that rare of a Caddy go to crap.
  20. Consumer Reports? HA! Nobody should trust them to even buy a good vacuum cleaner with the most suction capacity let alone a vehicle.
  21. Quick question. If you get going then brake hard enough and get the grille close to the ground does that thing suck up dirt like the Dustbuster it looks like?
  22. Emphasis in "trying"
  23. GM is trying to be optimistic about 2030. I predict the company, specifically with Cadillac, will gradually phase in BEV's and if they still aren't selling well enough within a few years they can easily switch 50% or more to ICE units and keep the line running until battery tech catches up and the EVSE infrastructure gets to where it needs to be as well. Then they will have options in case another crash happens and gas prices spike again. EV's will then be readily available and more popular, and with a flexible assembly line GM will be able to quickly answer the current demand.
  24. So everybody on here knows the charger is in the EV, so it dictates what the car can pull as far as kW and Amps that the charger in the EV can handle. So the 350 kW charging station is really just a big switch to bring the power to the EV and the onboard charger then communicates to the charging station how many kW's and amps it needs or can handle. Another issue with slamming this kind of amperage to the batteries will significantly reduce the life of the battery cell thus reducing the range the EV will have. The original Blink Network DC Fast Chargers were 60kW 200 amps Max and they were pushing close to full capacity to our fleet of Nissan Leafs with the 45kW charger and CHAdeMO plug from the 480v 3 phase 200 amp dedicated service of DCFC charging stations. Nissan Leaf EPA range was 100 mi. per charge but Real World range was closer to 75-80 mi. per charge when new, but after just a few years of pushing that high amperage to the battery packs the range was reduced to 60 mi. or less. Chevy Spark EV for the West Coast and SW area of the U.S. was also in the fleet using either a Level 2 240v Single phase charging station connecting the 7.4 kW charger or the 50 kW DCFC charger using the J1772 Level 2 plug or the SAE Combo plug which seem like the better plug for DCFC that GM, BMW, MB, VW have all used over the larger cumbersome industrial size CHAdeMO plugs that Nissan and Mitsubishi use(d). So we should keep in mind that these Extreme FC's will significantly reduce the range much quicker. Hopefully these manf's like Fisker have made the battery packs easy to swap out like Tesla has because they will need it. It's a good thing Li-ion batteries that EV's use are fairly "clean" batteries for recycling in that they don't have the harmful acids or other chemicals in them, mainly precious metals copper, magnesium and platinum is some which also makes them more expensive. Li-ion battery manufacturing has improved and prices have come down, but they are still pretty expensive.
  25. Leaked pictures like this are annoying, never gives the vehicle an actual prepared look or clear views with all the shipping wrap and protector labels/stickers everywhere. You can't really tell what all is there on the exterior with these pics. I'm sure once we see actual official pictures from GM it will be the Escalade we expect inside and out. This wasn't leaked from GM it's some assembly line UAW jack@ss with a cheap camera phone trying to make a quick buck.
