Chevrolet News:C8 Corvette Delayed Until February 2020
USA-1 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
Yes, the C8 will have the new "Nervous System" electrical architecture. I've been told one of the reasons for the launch delay towards the end was to implement the new system. -
Everything is Doom and Gloom from the MSM like Bloomberg News. U.S. Economy is strong as is Wall St. and holding, not that the MSM would want to tell you such. I wouldn't cash in your 401K and move to Canada just yet.

LS BEAST!! Boring first half. Second half was def. better, Chief's came back out to win and deserved it after their 50 yr. drought. J Lo is a clueless, washed up, SJW moron.

Yep, took mine off my 2017 Colorado I had too. About 15 freaking screws were holding it on, good times rolling around on my creeper lol. Time well spent though.

GMC News: Hummer Is Back As A 1,000 HP Truck By GMC
USA-1 replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
Right. I don't think anyone here was comparing it to an ICE engine. A BEV goes about power delivery in a totally different way and all torque is available at 0 RPM. It really should be stated as 11,500 lb.-"in." of torque for electric motors, but that would confuse John Q. Public. There's a whole different equation to it, but either way it's well into the thousands. -
neuronev Neuron EV - Newest Challenger to Tesla
USA-1 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Something GM has ready right now...a BOF BEV truck that can handle the weight, utilizing the BT1XX platform (based off of the T1XX) launching in May with Hummer EV by GMC. Gonna be interesting!- 59 replies

Looks pretty good, dig the meaty tires and front looks pretty mean, much cleaner look especially with losing the hideous lower air-dam that really does nothing, but hinder ground clearance.

Gonna be a beast. 11,500 lb.- ft.?! GM: Hey any anyone want to pull a house off it's foundation and down the street?! Or just a truck load full of Elon Musk's narcissistic ego?! We got ya! Pretty much an F U to Tesla. "Cybertruck this Elon Musk" ?? Straight up Krunk! -
Cadillac News: Cadillac's Super Cruise Gets Upgraded
USA-1 replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
GM's Super Cruise with this latest update that includes lane changing capabilities will be a hundred times safer than Tesla's AutoPilot that's been just short of a disaster on safety. Super Cruise has more on road testing hours and uses GPS mapping with Lidar and high speed cameras along with facial recognition so it's pretty damn accurate as well. Tesla AutoPilot only uses Lidar, high speed cameras and touch sensors on the steering wheel no GPS or facial recognition. I drove a CT6 with Super Cruise in 2017 and it can see your eyes looking away with your head still facing forward towards the steering wheel...through dark sunglasses...and it alerts you with a tone, safety alert seat vibration and a flashing red light in the head-up display if you don't look forward within 5 - 10 sec., it's pretty impressive. I wouldn't trust Tesla's AutoPilot at this point, enabling people to sleep as the car drives around is insane. -
Cadillac News: Cadillac's Super Cruise Gets Upgraded
USA-1 replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Tesla has no choice than to do over-the-air updates as they don't have a dealer network with techs that can put their eyes on the vehicle and physically plug in their handheld programmer to see if the car reacts correctly afterwards. Tesla dumps the update OTA to the car and crosses their fingers that it took and didn't jack it up. -
I believe the official design release should be rolling out in the next month or so. I'll cue up my Caddy dealer here to ascertain what new info. he has on it.
-
Woah, calm down Davey it's a third party rendering not official GM release. I think it will look similar but the front end will not be as blown up or stretched looking. I think the back looks pretty good keeping the tall vertical LED's and is still well removed from the Tahoe/Yukon designs. ?

Congrats! Awesome cars, I drove a CT6-V last month at my Cadillac dealer and loved it. Like you said very planted and well mannered for the size. It drives like a much smaller car and I love that nearly instant boost from the Blackwing and constant pull during "spirited driving" I used to have a 2013 white diamond CTS-V Coupe and loved the car, but the new tech and Caddy design is sweet. Also checked out the CT4 and 5 at the local Auto Show here in Phoenix and they have a very impressive design inside and out with great fit and finish and leather, aluminum, wood or carbon fiber trim everywhere while having very supportive seats that aren't too soft or too hard with perfect side bolstering. Vette guy here as well and I get what you're saying about GM performance and/or luxury cars that are often underrated like the CT6, hopefully the 4 and 5 get more love than the outgoing ATS and CTS. BTW, did you change out the amber front side marker lights to smoked or did the dealer do it? Looks awesome, the DOT required amber markers stick out a bit too much on these as well as the Vettes, smoked is the way to go.
-
Not an official release from GM, but it's a very close rendering with current Cadillac design language. Still has the large vertical Caddy LED light piping in front and the iconic Caddy vertical taillights.
-
You mean XT6 right? It will have it's own 'Sclade identity in person. I dig the new Caddy design language.
-
Thanks man, was just jerking ur chain It's crazy how early the factory comes out with info. for next year models now.
