  1. Police Academy franchise is definitely an old school classic favorite and always will be. TA scene is epic! Moses Hightowers Honda CVCC "interior modification" scene is one of my favs. You definitely found 3 clips of some of the best scenes. Always a good laugh! ?????
  2. ?? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/mar/06/washington-state-coronavirus-kent-motel https://www.usnews.com/news/health-news/articles/2020-03-05/seattle-area-officials-buy-4-million-quarantine-motel Only 2 confirmed cases in AZ and one was over a month ago and the guy recovered already. Definitely have a handle on it here, our Governor, Doug Ducey, already has emergency relief plan ready to go if need be. We all need to not panic, that's the worst that can happen and that has been relayed from our top doctors in the nation. MSM has blown this up and made this virus very political. Lets not forget that in 2009-2010 that 61 million Americans got Swine flu (H1N1) and nearly 12,500 in total died from it with 1,000 passing away before DC did anything about it at the time. This flu season CDC estimates that there have been at least 34 million flu illnesses and 20,000 deaths have occurred so far this year. Some pretty eye opening statistics.
  3. We can thank the nasty, wet grocery markets in China for Coronavirus/COVID-19 and their initial lack of response in alerting the world...and now the current stock markets ebb and flow around the world from the uncertainty of virus community spread. Won't be a full recession financial crash like '08, just certain industries will suffer like airlines, cruise ship industry, some retail etc... Banks are flush with cash as per comments today from top execs from the big three, Chase, BofA and Wells and payroll tax cut on the way for all. Are they getting it under control up there in WA yet? Heard the State bought an old Econo Lodge motel in Kent for a quarantine place.
  4. Too bad you won't fit in any of them! Maybe if you rip out the front seat and sit in the back seat to drive like Hightower in Police Academy
  5. Right? Seoul states, "Unidentified projectiles." So LRM Kim is playing with his erector set again. ? All this spesky Coronavirus/COVID-19 international coverage is getting all of the world's attention, as his own people are probably dropping like flies from it. The President knows cry baby Kim isn't a threat, just doesn't like to be ignored...LRM's old school (like NoKo's whole military) way of stating "hey I'm still over here waiting for your call back" POTUS: "STFU fat phoque I'm busy right now!" Bummer. Hope you get better soon man!!
  6. Hey @oldshurst442 Happy Birthday Canadian brother from another Mother!! Hope it was a good one man!!
  7. Now we have attention whore little rocket man Kim launching unidentified projectiles in NoKo per Seoul reps, that's all the world needs right now is that dictator moron to deal with. We'll have to deal with him now too, Papa Trump needs to put him over his knee again as he's obviously feeling left out.
  8. The Del Toro! Looks like a disaster waiting to happen. "Hey just make sure you don't get your foot down in the auger blades Grandpa!" Additional Regenerative Range Extender?
  9. Very unfortunate for FMC as a storied multi-generational American family business in the automotive world. In the movie Ford vs. Ferrari you could really see the heart and soul that Henry Ford II "Hank the Deuce"/"HF2" poured into the company. You can tell that passion isn't there today with Bill Ford Jr. and Edsel Ford II on the board, they just don't have it in them, Bill Ford Sr., Edsel I youngest son and HF2's youngest brother didn't seemed to have it either. The real passion the original three, Henry I, Edsel and Henry II had hasn't really been there at FMC for at least 30 years, basically since "Hank the Deuce" died in 1987. I just watched a documentary on the history of Ford Motor Company just the other night, it was very interesting and educational. It showed how even Edsel Ford was very involved and tried to help his hard headed father Henry I with the business, he seemed to have a great business sense, but didn't get a chance to make his mark before succumbing to stomach cancer in an untimely death in 1943 at the age of 49. "Hank the Deuce" took over after Henry I started getting dementia and eventually died of a brain aneurysm in 1945. Synopsis of it for ya! Man how Henry I, Edsel I and HF2 must be rolling in their graves. Hopefully the Ford family with the help of Farley can right the ship before it's too late. They definitely need to get new launches organized, the Explorer/Aviator launch was a disaster and still are a QC nightmare. If they're going to just build trucks and SUV's now they've got to get them right!
  10. Have you taken it in?! Not normal man. Do you have the V6 8A or I4 gas, Baby DMax with 6A? My 2017 Colorado V6 8L45 I had was fine. Only thing I didn't like was the delay from 2-1 coming up to a stop it would get a little hung up in between so had a slight hiccup when back on throttle. Seemed like it was an issue in the valve body, but told it was normal by the Stealership of course. All gears smooth cruising or WOT other than that.
  11. The 8L45 is the 8 speed auto used in the V6 Colorado/Canyon and Camaro and was paired with the V6 CTS as well. The 8L90 was used in full-size trucks from 2015 -2019 Silverado to Escalade as well as CTS-V, C7 Vettes and Camaro SS/ZL1 and it's internals are designed to handle the increased torque of the 6.2L in all those applications. The shutter issue that people have had with the 8L90 is either A. The torque converter acting up and not locking up or locking up too soon, And/or B. The Eco fuel saving program in the transmission TCM that's designed to get the transmission in the highest gear possible, as soon as possible, which can also cause lagging or shuttering, add to that a faulty torque converter and you have a problem. So it was the torque converters and the Eco shift algorithm that plagued the 8L90. I drive my Silverado in town with it in Manual mode and select 4th or 5th as max top gear with the selector and it works great, no shuttering or lagging and in D on the freeway and I've had no problems and neither have family or friends that have the 8L90 in their trucks. Ford came to GM to "partner up" on the 10 speed knowing that GM knows automatic transmissions very well and knows how to build solid ones THM400 Hydra-matic comes to mind. Ford's AT's have notoriously been CRAP from F150 to F350 to the Econoline vans for decades, I know because I've had both GM and Ford trucks in my commercial business. Interesting fact that GM's 10 speed 10L80 transmission has been great and problem free in the Camaro SS/ZL1 and Silverado/Sierra, Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade, but Ford's 10 speed 10R80 of the "same mold" has had major internal issues in the F150 and Mustang. So it's all about how it's put together by each manufacturer and which one knows how to do so correctly. Makes you wonder if GM engineers saw the flaws that Ford had with their design and went back, fixed it for their vehicles and didn't tell Ford that it was fcked up. Ford now has their hands full with Class Action lawsuits with their problematic 10 speed. https://www.classaction.org/blog/defective-10-speed-ford-f-150-transmissions-shift-harshly-and-erratically-class-action-claims https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/2018-mustang-10-speed-failure.903142/ https://fordauthority.com/2019/08/ford-f-150-10-speed-transmission-subject-new-lawsuit/
  12. I've owned two Cadillac's '13 CTS-V and '16 ELR and driven two MB's. One MB was a new CLK 55 AMG (buddy's car) back in '02 and more recently a '17 C Class (aunt's car), wasn't impressed by either one. The AMG engine sounded like a V8 should, but it's transmission was crap, hunted for and banged gears the whole time. The C Class rides like a buckboard wagon and is cramped. Fifteen years between both and still not impressed with MB and I never had any problems with either Cadillac I've owned.
  13. It's comical to witness those of you on here who try to say that neither GM nor Cadillac compare to Mercedes Benz, but MB is almost always brought up by you guys for comparison in Cadillac posts. It's hilarious to witness you stumble all over yourselves, quite the show. I've owned or driven both so if you haven't owned or actually driven both luxury marques more than just around the block then you have no merit to your ridiculous comments.
  14. It's clear the Blackwing V8 engine was Johan D's baby and the CT/XT naming was his idea as well. So they're possibly both gone with him leaving Cadillac. It's also clear that Steve Carlisle is now taking Cadillac in his direction and hopefully it's the right one, so far I really only disagree with canceling the Blackwing and CT6. It seems like they could build the CT6 at a different factory in limited numbers being that it's only been out for roughly 4 years now. There won't be reliability issues with the Blackwing as it's been torture tested for hundreds of thousands of miles. The Escalade V could definitely resurrect the Blackwing when it debuts which would be awesome. I've also heard that there might be a Cadillac version of the C8 Vette coming that could possibly fit the Blackwing, what a perfect marriage that would be. I've seen and sat in the C8 and with it's huge flipped reverse angle headers there's still some room in the engine bay and having the Hot-V turbo setup in the Blackwing gives it more room on the sides as well. We shall see.
  15. Where is Drew or his moderators? I'm so offended by your vulgar language.
  16. That's been Hyundai's thing for a while now. They used to have their own style with the "Fluid Design Language" 10 years ago, but now R&D takes a backseat to advertising. Hyun is pretty big in Pro sports now, they spend a huge chunk of cash with the NFL sponsorship and pretty sure they spent quite a bit more on commercials than any other auto manf. in the Superbowl this year. Just saw an ad the other day that they will pay you 40 bucks to go take a test drive of one of their new cars. All you see is Hyundai ads constantly in your face, like they want to make some people surrender, "Ok, ok I'll go look and drive one of your d@mn cars for 40 bucks just leave me alone!"
  17. Orange Theory is a pretty hardcore cardio class. My gf does it, she loves it.
  18. Was just wondering the same thing the other day! Where's Drew, is he ok?! Last on Jan. 22nd.
  19. Right and I'm 6'3" 240 and hit the gym 5 days a week, not intimidated my friend. Know any martial arts? I do.
  20. I'll show you bulk ? Good base less exposed rocks for you to hit, you don't need more damage ?
  21. Oh Oregon gets drizzle on the coast and Washington doesn't really have a defined coastline so yeah it's a little different, but being 3 hour drive North it's not much. It's also consistently 6 - 8 degrees warmer in Oregon so there's that too. For the record I said for December AZ had more snow than the rest of the country at that time not at this time, but we'll have a much higher average for AZ than the current average snowfall from the list you were looking at from past years. I know Lake Tahoe and Colorado as well as the PNW and other areas OBVIOUSLY get WAY more snow than AZ, but in Dec. we were getting hammered with snow in Northern AZ at Snowbowl Ski Resort (52" base right now) it was abnormally cold during Christmas too, low 50's instead of mid 60's in The Valley (Phx Metro for you tourists lol). Yeah, we have LED lights here too LOL but we don't need ponchos to eat outside 9 mos. out of the year either You're certifiable crazy dressed like that in 39 degree weather! ? We laugh at tourists like you that come here this time of year wearing shorts and T-shirts when 50 degrees out ?
  22. HA!! Keep delusion-ally telling yourself it's "drizzle" LMAO! Born and raised up there trust me it's RAIN then POURING DOWN RAIN not much else! Sad to have to install artificial lighting to keep you from being depressed in an area of the country with the Highest level of seasonal depression, that being the PNW, then maybe 2 months of Summer, if you're lucky July and August. Remember I grew-up there working on a farm in the constant cold and rain so I know first hand what the weather is like, ALWAYS cold and wet. FYI, we had more snow in Northern AZ than the rest of the country in December (look it up) so we have it all here in one State not just rain, snow and ice and no way to get away from it, if I want to go skiing up North or be in the snow I can, but I'm not forced to live in an Arctic hell. Feel free to come defrost anytime, my family still living in OR does often. 60 is freezing to me ? 80 is perfect to each their own. Funny because my aunt and uncle who live on the Kenai Pennisula have a house here in AZ as well to come defrost. My parents still living in Oregon have a home here as well
  23. Yep...ugly AZ desert...who knew? ? Roosevelt Lake AZ Haigler Canyon AZ Near Young Hwy. AZ Camelback Mountain AZ
  24. Nice, glad you could get that anger out of your system LOL. Plenty of nice lakes here as well and San Diego/Del Mar is 1 hr. by jet.
