The dark red, blue, or green with tinted windows and nice wheels is a very nice. The SWB is more than sufficient most people's needs. Stow and go seems an unecessary luxury to this cheap bastard. I am just a little learry of the drive train.
  2. I don't see how the Solara (coupe not just convertabile) are any less distanced from the Camry than are the Corolla from the Matrix and Vibe. On the other hand, perhaps we are putting too much emphasis on these sales results much like a 300 baseball hitter who never produces when it counts vs a 250 hitter who frequently sacrafises properly and delivers the long fly ball with a man on third.
  3. Perhaps. Then again it is 5 years later and 50% more money.
  4. They may call it "the usual" but they don't charge like its the usual. Check out the price differential for a 6 compared to a four. Now the four is really "the usual"
  5. The Enclave has got to cost much more than this .
  6. Handsome except for the D(?) piller.
  7. The hybrid comes with an automatic transmission, the base VUE with a standard transmission. I wonder if this will mean an actual $1000 difference.
  8. Newbiewar: I really like your signature. It is attractive and informative. When I get in the market I just might drive down from Altadena to see you.
  9. Where would the market be? ... heck where would the end users be without them!
  10. $10 for the MP3 input jack and $105 for the 2.0 l. engine seem reasonable, almost silly not to be included. If the vehicle has easy entry and gains a reputation for mechancial excelence, many of us senior citizens will be interested even if it does resemble the Aztek.
  11. The window/glass between what I believe is refered to as the c and D pillars is haped surprisingly like that of the Pontiac Aztek.

I guess I am more of a van person than i should admit. I don't see anything wrong with the looks of the Nissan Quest. Of course the present Chrysler mini vans are better looking than 50% of the cars made.
  13. On the interior shot, what is that space above the top of center stack and the top of the dash cover? Perhaps the DMV was right to take away my driver's liscence. The rear shot looks so-so, its the 3/4 rear shot that looks strange to me. Just to busy. However, as in all vehicle but especially this class, functionality is king.
  14. As i understand it the present Astra is on the old Astra platform with a few goodies from Delta added on. One of the proposal floated here was that both the North American Delta and the Astra platform would be combined on a new but related platform.
  15. Documentation fees ar a way of life. Here in California each dealer fixes the amount and it doesn't change from model to model. Is it not that way in Florida?
  16. The mini was super well known. At The thanksgiving dinner before its release 15 or so people at our meal could talk about nothing else. Likewise, Magazines ran contests for the most significant car in the last one hundred years and the Mini beat out the VW bug. As far as emailing O'Neal, go for it. And tell him that this LA times subscriber sees plenty of HHR's driving around in his back yard. They look great because they look and ARE substantial moderately priced vehicles. Journalist in gneral, him included, put too much emphasis on textures and colors of the interior. What is he ...an interior decorator.
  17. You don't like the looks of the CTS or the Aura, nor do you like the new OHV engines of the G6. You sound like a Camry man to me. Enjoy its really not as bad as many here say and I'm sure America will recover from this one sale.
  18. I assume that the price is something like steel<thermoplastic<SMC. Is that right?
  19. Perhaps Cadillac has something you like. Comprable pricing.
  20. I didn't right clearly. The explanation that I want is NOT why the plastic panels should exist, but rather why panel gaps are an important consideration. While eplanations from above are flowing, I sure would like to know just how much these panels add to the price of a car.
  21. Couldn't yu get OC or somebody credetialed and get coverage of the LA show too. I love volunteering other people. :):)
  22. look up humor in the dictonary, memroize it. Make it a new years resolution to use a little every day.
  23. It seems to me that the "inadequate explanation for the panel gaps" should refer to the lack of explanation why it matters so much that they exist.
  24. ; I'm curius what are they?
