  1. The concept itself is very nice. Call me when GM fully federalizes it and puts it on a dealer lot, then we can talk.
  2. Sales tend to drive a lot of other things. I know that Buick insists that they are NOT a China-only brand. Then again, Mercedes and BMW design and (mostly) build in Germany, even though the majority of their sales are outside Europe.
  3. RAM does need a midsize pickup. They should reconsider NOT using the Gladiator platform, unless there is a serious cost issue.
  4. Get the 300C if you can. The XTS is a little small (inside) by comparison.
  5. Point taken. The Italians have little or no reason to sell cars in the USA when better marques already exist in their own stable.
  6. They should kill off FIAT. Alfa Romeo and Maserati serve different luxury markets and that would be throwing profits away. Chrysler as a near-luxury brand can work if they are willing to invest the money into that.
  7. If Zoyte is smart, then they will be a CUV-only brand when they enter the US market. Most of Buick sales (at least in the USA) are crossovers, NOT sedans. It was not that long ago that 40% of Cadillac new car sales were the XT5 (only). GM and Ford are shedding sedans at a fast clip, while FCA has largely abandoned mainstream sedans entirely (300/Charger aside). Apparently, even Honda and Toyota are struggling with sedan sales while neither can make enough CUVs. The American people have spoken: no more sedans please.
  8. WOW. Poor cash management indeed. So Tesla needs $2.7 Billion for its cash flow issues. Elon Musk needs a much better CFO STAT. As for product, Tesla needs to build more crossovers please.
  9. Face it: there is no reason anyone under 35 can afford to buy ANY NEW CAR whatsoever. The median price of a new car is already north of $37K. That is ridiculous! Basically all automakers could stand to build a $12K new car just so that Gen Y and Gen Z will actually buy new cars. Do automakers not realize that a rising median age for a new car buyer means that they are throwing away an entire generation for at least the next decade?! Or do they only care about the next quarter's P&L statements?

Welcome to iPhone. I have an iPhone 8 Plus since June and it is great. No need (for me) to get a X, Xr or a Xs.
  11. Bob Eaton Sold Chrysler to Daimler because he wanted shareholders to cash out. Chrysler has largely suffered ever since. FCA (i.e. the Italians) HATE all Chrysler brands NOT named Jeep. The new CEO must ditch FIAT and Alfa Romeo as soon as possible (at least in the USA); otherwise we will see Chrysler and Dodge will die while RAM and Jeep will be bled for cash.
  12. 1948 Tucker?
  13. I just read Consumer Reports' Auto Issue borrowed from a neighbor. CR loves Subaru almost as much as Toyota/Lexus this year.
  14. Why can't KIA simply give the Soul AWD?!
  15. Jeep sells real honest-to-God SUVs that are supposed to go off-road. Chrysler does NOT have those. The Pacifica is a really good if not great minivan. A very good FWD crossover or two can do Chrysler some good. Just don't mess it up like they did with the Dodge Journey.
  16. Bye Bye SMART. No buyers = no sales. NOBODY in the USA wants a subcompact car. NOBODY. IF BMW was smart, they would either electrify the Mini Cooper or stop selling them here. At least Mini Coopers had a USP that people bought into. Smart never did.
  17. Yes, a few people will buy it. And in a few years, more people will buy it.
  18. The QX60 is bigger and better than the QX50. Also, Infiniti could advertise it more (and have a $3K cash back offer).
  19. I agree. Cadillac needs to do both. Also, the CT6 should get the Blackwing V8 as an option.
  20. One slight change: All FWD Cadillacs should be AWD standard. The RWD Cadillacs should have AWD as an option.
  21. Fair point. I just don't see who would buy a small truck. The midsize trucks seem to be doing very well.
  22. I hope this accelerates the embrace of BEVs, especially once solid state batteries show up in new vehicles.
  23. The CT6 should never have had a 2.0T in it in the first place. AWD only will be interesting though.
  24. Because a small truck, just like subcompacts, do not sell well here in the USA.
  25. What year is this Toronado? 1965 or 1975?
