  1. Ideally, the Blackwing sub-brand would be not just the Blackwing V8. It would also include interior upgrades to go along with the performance upgrades that should accompany the Blackwing V8. In other words, better than Denali.
  2. Exactly. A Cadillac should say something and leave a positive (or at least polarizing) impression on anyone who sees one going down the road. I like the XT5 and the CT6, but the only Cadillac that truly leaves an impression is the Escalade. Cadillac needs to fix that on all their other models ASAP.
  3. Correction: let Alfa Romeo AND FIAT stand on their own and DIE.
  4. FCA needs to rationalize their product lines long before they take electrification seriously. They are too broke to do anything else at this time.
  5. More glass and lower prices help that a lot. Time to rethink the Camaro again.
  6. True, but that does NOT let Audi off the hook with their own version of eAssist. Either go all in or go home. Audi/VW can afford to innovate properly.
  7. Another reason CAFE needs to be repealed. Let drivers buy what they want.
  8. GM's original BAS was 2007-2010, while the 2nd Generation was 2012-14. The last one was on a 2016 Silverado. I highly doubt that Audi will be applauded for BAS. If they went full BEV tomorrow, they might be applauded.
  9. How common is it that Chevrolet generally (not just the Camaro) lack base models in order to help out with sales? Does this issue exist elsewhere at other GM dealerships?
  10. I wonder how soon Audi will update the Q5 (preferably without that rather humongous grill).
  11. Wow, you mean that somebody found out that Elon Musk is arrogant and will not learn from his mistakes? Smart thinking to do the opposite of what Tesla is doing in terms of service.
  12. All true, except for the EV charging issue. There are a LOT of engineers working on making those batteries (and hence EVs) charge faster than 8 hours. When charging gets down to 8 minutes or less, EVs will sell like hotcakes.
  13. Sad but very true. If the Camaro is going to be discontinued in three years, I am sorry for it to go. Then again, the new Camaro (if there is one) needs a better stylist and some more glass since the current one looks like somebody could become claustrophobic once inside.
  14. Unless somebody makes JLR (or their owners) an offer they simply cannot refuse.
  15. Beta (and especially Betamax) were expensive compared to VHS, especially after VCRs based on VHS went for $99 after about 1985.
  16. I forget which models had/have that gorgeous cocoa brown interiors. Why GM would ditch that for just black interiors is insane, especially down here in FL where the heat is rather brutal and humid. Why does GM not have any variety at all these days? Are they trying to repel potential customers?
  17. I think the word you are looking for is DGAF. As in GM DGAF about certain details while other automakers do.
  18. Too bad a similarly equipped Acadia Denali or a Traverse Premier would cost at least $5000 more. I wonder what is missing from this top-level Telluride.
  19. Since when does Mitsubishi get to think that they can sell the Outlander for such a high price? Unless they either cut production by half and/or make them at least Acura/Buick desirable, Mitsubishi should avoid this and cut prices by $5000 at least.
  20. How large/small is the Seltos compared to the KIA Soul? Will it replace the KIA Soul, since they both seem to be small CUVs?
  21. Looks are one thing. Performance is what matters. Most trucks need those cross-drilled rotors as much as a typical Corvette. . . . . very badly. Cadillac could stand to make those rotors standard across the entire line.
  22. Most luxury cars depreciate rapidly, especially in the first year. Luxury cars are leased so much more often than bought, which only makes depreciation worse. Great if you buy used or certified pre-owned rather than new
  23. Or maybe this is what the CT6 will stay this way for a long time to come, especially for the all-new CT6 that will come sometime in the future.
  24. Fantastic. I hope this gets to production cars sooner than later. Or should I say: ocnblu now has his worst nightmare come true.
  25. Explains why minivan sales have been tanking for a decade.
