  1. Elon Musk: We don't need no stinking dealers to sell Teslas. Reality says: Where are the massive sales of your Teslas, Elon?
  2. That sounds fabulous. Addressing multiple issues that current batteries have with innovative thinking. One problem is customer acceptance. Read this if you have doubts about fast acceptance: https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/jd-power-mobility-confidence-study-electric-cars-autonomy/#
  3. Can somebody get BMW to ax Mini? Even though I see a few driving around, there is no reason to have Mini here in the land of CUVs. Even Europe may no longer need Mini Coopers when they can get a Buick Encore or a Cadillac XT4.
  4. There is one big problem with a $50K Honda Pilot: What happened to the Acura MDX?! I thought 50K was Acura territory.
  5. I am still amazed that Nissan and Mitsubishi are still here in the USA. Both should have left a long time ago.
  6. It is a shame. A RWD Impala/Caprice would be fabulous.
  7. The Nissan Titan/Armada and the Infiniti QX80 do not sell well here at all. None of those three are truly competitive in this market. All three can go right now (and close that factory in Canton, MS while they are at it)! Several others can go too, but I doubt that Nissan will end the Z. I do wonder if Renault will do some real cost-cutting in France, or will Paris intervene?
  8. QFT times 1000. The Encore (and the Chevy Trax) should be sold basically anywhere in the world since most countries cannot handle the large CUVs or pickup trucks GM offers these days.
  9. Yes it is happening again. Just like when affordable RWD sedans (mostly) disappeared after 1987. Now it is virtually all affordable FWD sedans that are disappearing into the ether. This is really sad, but it seems few people actually WANT to buy a FWD sedan when they want a FWD crossover instead.
  10. This is the Corvette we are talking about. Do not hold your breath. A Silverado/Sierra EV is far more likely.
  11. I could really use an XT5 with a moonroof. This summer (like all summers down here) is really brutal. I wonder if it is required to go Platinum instead of just Luxury Premium to get a moonroof these days.
  12. Vigilance is the price of liberty . . . and protecting your property. I cannot blame the homeowner for this theft (yes that is what happened), but said homeowner needs to keep an eye out for this activity. I have a question for you: What are your recommendations for the next car or CUV anyone should buy within the next year? Nothing BOF is the only condition.
  13. Some people don't need or want full-size pickups. Mid-size works great for them.
  14. Two questions: Why is the 2.0T now the standard engine? And why does the 2.0T get brake-by-wire and not the 3.6L V6?
  15. The sins of excessive dependence on fleet sales have finally visited themselves on Nissan. Apparently, they have not learned from Ford and GM that moving the metal kills profits AND resale values. I do hope that Nissan has the guts to close underperforming factories as opposed to just cutting hours and shifts.
  16. So when will GM put this diesel in the Colorado/Canyon twins?
  17. All true. Too bad GM will not do the right thing and make Cadillac take on RR/Bentley while Buick takes on MB/BMW/Audi/Lexus.
  18. I agree. THAT is not an Escalade. An Escalade has a fundamental presence that most Cadillac CUVs do not have.
  19. Sad but so so true. It is always about the search for more money, regardless of who is involved.
  20. They would need to improve their infotainment systems (especially at Infiniti) first. As for the question posed: Absolutely they will announce big job cuts. Shareholders are never satisfied until all revenue = profits.
  21. Maybe GM needs better suppliers and better and more forward thinking in their cars and CUVs.
  22. Sorry. BMW is NOT stupid for charging for Apple CarPlay. BMW owners and lessees are stupid for PAYING for Apple CarPlay in the BMW of their choice. Many of them would be better off replacing the roundel with a Cadillac of their choice.
  23. A LOT of companies can stand to reduce debt, especially financial ones. Our Government(s) too could stand a debt diet.
  24. The Chrysler Voyager should be $10K less to start, not $4K. The 2-seat Pacifica Superlegerra is SO NOT CHRYSLER.
  25. Because the coupe-like design really cuts down head room by a lot. Coupe-like sedans are bad; coupe-like crossovers are even worse.
