  1. Sorry mphmag. Didn't know when that magazine was coming out. I thought it was next's months. I can't wait for January!
  2. YESSSS!!! A Honda vs Toyota fight.......on a GM board!!!
  3. Yeah.....because that's where people go to get their world news......the GM website....... and not AP, Rueters, major newspapers, Yahoo, etc!
  4. The 2005 300C SRT-8 has a drag coefficient of 0.355 The sleeker 300M had a Cd of 0.31 and the sleek looking Crossfire SRT-6 has a Cd of 0.37 The ZO6 has a Cd of 0.28 The LX's are not that much of a brick as far as Cd is concerned.
  5. This is a simulated CRASH performed on the individual seats themselves:
  6. New pic of the Challenger......and it's spectacular!! Damn.....MPH Magazine is coming on strong. I think I'll be asking for a subscription for X-mas. Edit See Daves Post Below - Josh
  7. Yeah, try and drag the Cobalt down too. No the Cobalt without the side bags got a POOR rating too......but the Cobalt did get a GOOD (the higest) rating on the rear crash test vs. the Corolla's POOR (worst) rating.
  8. Yeah.......yeah: Read the article. It says SIDE and REAR crash tests. You posted the FRONTAL OFFSET TEST results. Then it also says to buy the side airbags.....which are optional on the Corolla.....or else you get a POOR rating just like the Corolla did.

  10. By Forbes.com Crash results point out two not-so-surprising facts: cheap equals less safe, and you really, really need to order side airbags. The least-safe cars on the market are like the least-safe neighborhoods in a big city: affordable, but not pretty. With an average base price of $15,323 and no prices higher than $19,555, the six least-safe cars on the market come from companies Forbes.com does not ordinarily cover, such as Hyundai, Kia and Suzuki. Some models from these brands -- which are hardly for social climbers -- satisfy bargain hunters but require them to take their chances with personal safety. Hyundai's Elantra, Kia's Optima and Suzuki's Forenza sedans -- like the other vehicles in the slide show -- achieved ratings of "poor," the lowest possible, in two of three Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests (all the cars received their failing grades on the side- and rear-impact tests). The 2006 model year is young. Not all new cars have crash-test scores available, but many do, and here are the six with the worst crashworthiness. The least-safe cars of 2006: Toyota Corolla Hyundai Elantra Nissan Sentra Kia Optima Suzuki Forenza Mazda6

  12. It looks like a giant European Ford Focus wagon: I don't like small car front ends on minivans. They should have a more substantial front end.

  15. So, after all that......you are saying the CiviD loses.....right?? :P I doubt it will be cheaper too.
  16. http://cmsimg.detnews.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/b...8Q=100&MaxW=500 I can't read the fine print on bottom corner......as I'm sure no normal human can!
  17. The HEMI actually is a lightweight. It weighs 485 lbs. according to Allpar.com.............and according to a guy on GMInsidenews.com, the LS2 weights "a little less than 500 lbs."
  18. Chrysler released the drawing. I guess the person with the spy pics waited till the drawing was released.
  19. Yeah, like the installation of the UAW into their plants.
  20. Do those undercarriage and open wheel well pictures show the broken struts after all that "off-roading"?? :P
  21. I was just commenting on the looks. Of course the MX-5 is more refined.....it's been around for like 15 years. If the Solstice survives for 15 years, I would expect it to get lighter, quicker, handle better, have a better top....etc. However, this first (or second) year Solstice will be faster then the MX-5, when it gets a turbo or supercharger.....and it already handles better in some tests.
  22. Solstice = 1 MX-5.... = 0
  23. We don't all want to drive tall wagons......which would be the most efficient use of space for a vehicle. I also don't want to drive a wedge or a bloated jellybean, which is much of what Honda and Toyota seem to be designing for the "future". I wasn't too sure what to think when I first saw the Challenger pictures. Then I started thinking about what it would be like owning one. Pull up to a valet in front of a restaruant in a black 2008 Dodge Challenger with a HEMI V8 and rumbling exhaust, and see the people's reaction when you open the door to a leather interior with a Navi system and 6 disc changer, white faced gauges, power seats, power moonroof.........and a 5 year warranty!! Who could not notice this car? Would that many people not buy it because they want that badly to fit into the Camcord scene? BTW - here are some blown up pics: 1970
